We were hosted at the hotel Bakour and our experience was absolutely exceptional. Since we arrived, the staff made us feel like at home. The attention was of high quality, familiar and extremely careful. They were always ready to help us with whatever we needed.
The reception was particularly highly high thanks to Kimberly's friendlyness and efficiency, who greeted us every day and kept us informed about the activities of the hotel. Your personalized attention and your willingness to help us at any time were essential for our stay.
But what really loved us was the staff's attitude in general. From Manuel, the tours seller who became a friend and made us several gifts without commit, even the bar and buffet boys, such as Jazmín and Joan, who were always attentive and kind. Even Junior, who worked at night, was extremely social and made us feel part of the family.
We were very happy to have a nice and comfortable room, and we were very happy to have a nice room.

This was our first time in Dominicana and we chose this hotel because our tour operator said it was new and we actually liked the pics (they are real by the way, not like in the majority of the hotels where they post only the best to attract guests). First thing that impressed us was that all staff was wearing masks at all times everywhere: inside and outside! No matter if they were showing sport exercises, cleaning or dancing in the lobby in the evening, they were always in masks! Then sanitizers everywhere . Temperature control at the entrance to the hotel and to all restaurants. The staff also makes sure you are wearing a mask and gloves when picking food. Everyone was polite helping and smiling all the time. I will name only some people here just because I didn't take photos of all names, so sorry if I didn't name you. All receptionists were ready to help and solve any problem you have. Bieavenido (thanks for late night talk, now I know when is the Independence day in Dominicana!😊). All our requests were satisfied within 5-15minutes (not Dominican minutes👆🤣). Guys at the restaurant all who were welcoming, thank you for giving us masks and gloves when we were too overwhelmed with holiday activities and forgot to get them🙈. Thank you for always wishing us good morning, nice day and smiling! Guys who take orders inside the restaurants and my Spanish teachers😅 Ramon, Antonio, Wilsoooooon Rincon, muchos gracias! It is a hotel that is almost 5 stars. The most positive thing is that the staff is all super friendly, with a super cheerful spirit, the hotel maintenance is super good, only some small details such as in the public bathrooms, general maintenance but not cleaning, the gastronomy is what I think can improve a little more apart from the Toro restaurant that was of high quality, the food is good but not at the level of excellence. We visited all the restaurants and they were good.
I do not have anything negative about the hotel, the bad thing for us was the beach, impossible to swim in, a lot of waves, the children cannot even play on the shore, super dangerous, we even managed to see a person drowning and thanks to the service of the lifeguards they managed to revive the person.
The rooms are quite comfortable and large, and if you are not interested in buying property do not agree to go to the talk for the points because you will lose half a morning. And with the vendors on the beaches you will find better prices.
But if you are only looking for a pool and nightlife with discos, casinos and theaters, this is the perfect hotel. If you are only looking for a beach, this is not the hotel, although you can find quiet beaches within a 20-minute walk along the shore.FromSGD 604

My first all inclusive experience and it was beyond my expectation. I had a swim out room and was part of the preferred club, with a personal butler and food concierge to cater for halal food. The resort was beautiful with many pools, a serene beach and a lazy river! So many restaurants to choose from plus a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I spent the entire time at the resort with no need for any excursions. There were nightly entertainment, unlimited snacks and drinks [non-alcoholic for me] and twice daily house keeping. Overall, I would stay again for the food [taste, variety and service], amenities [lazy river!] and hospitality [friendly staff].

The resort itself was beautiful but there were pros and cons. More cons than I wanted. Pool closed at 6 pm so no night swimming which left little to do in the evenings. Drinks were weak, drank all day long with no effect. Food was the worst. The buffet was terrible and was really our only option since the snack bar ran out of burgers, basically lived on chips and salsa the entire trip. The restaurants which you needed to make reservations for was a joke. The reservation app didn’t work so you had to wake am up at 6 am to stand in line until 8 am in hopes of getting a reservation. The service was not pleasant. Workers badly made eye contact with you and you always felt like you were bothering them when requesting a beverage or asking a question. The resort has potential if they stopped it up on service, food, drinks and entertainment.SOLD OUT

This was an excellent stay. It’s not near the downtown area nor walkable outside resort. You’ll need transportation to leave the resort. We were a couple and it was very nice even though it wasn’t adults only. There was alot of live entertainment at night to keep you busy. We didn’t need to leave the resort and was just fine walking to the beach and going to the pool area. The food was just great. I ate a lot but it seemed more healthy than food in US. I loved the assor**ent of fruits and vegetables. We did a spa trea**ent as well. The entertainment was well planned and set up so that there is something different every night. I have no complaints. The hotel has a car at counter 35 at the airport exit, but there is a fee of 40 dollars for a family. Check out to the airport, there is also a car to send, but also pay 40 dollars per family. The wait time was very long when checking in. The waiters seemed to be very busy and very inefficient. The room sanitation is so-so, and the towels and bedding feel very old and not clean and white. But it feels very good after moving in. The hotel is very large and it takes two days to familiarize yourself with the environment. All-inclusive food and drink, including drinks, there are many restaurants with different dishes, very rich, and rich in seafood. There are also many small living rooms that provide food and drink during non-dinner times. In short, you can find food at any time. The beach and sea water are very beautiful. There are different large-scale show performances every night, which is surprising because I did not see the introduction of the show when I booked the room. All inclusive of eating, drinking and having fun at the hotel, a great experience. The test for the new coronavirus is provided free of charge the day before departure, and the result is obtained on the day of departure. It's normal, but it's not worth waiting for anything special. Cleaning and changing towels every day. Breakfast is only 3 options for choice, one of which is always absent. There is your small beach club with a bar at the second hotel on the beach in a pedestrian accessibility. The staff is very slow, as well as everywhere in the country. Before New Year's Eve, they asked the tug to clap the dress, we never brought it. And the room is a large closet and no shoulder hanger. No refrigerator. Big balcony, no chair on the balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Excellence Punta Cana. The service was top notch. The resort was beautiful. The staff helped us from the moment we got into the moment we left.
The food was the only thing we didn’t really like. It could be much better, especially since we usually love Dominican food. At some restaurants onsite, it seemed like the staff were tired or overworked at dinner, and they brought the food out later sometimes it wasn’t cold or it wasn’t cooked exactly the way we asked. 
We loved that this was an adult only resort, there was always event you could join and at night. It was quiet when we came home so we loved that.

Check out to the airport, there is also a car to send, but also pay 40 dollars per family. The wait time was very long when checking in. The waiters seemed to be very busy and very inefficient. The room sanitation is so-so, and the towels and bedding feel very old and not clean and white. But it feels very good after moving in. The hotel is very large and it takes two days to familiarize yourself with the environment. All-inclusive food and drink, including drinks, there are many restaurants with different dishes, very rich, and rich in seafood. There are also many small living rooms that provide food and drink during non-dinner times. In short, you can find food at any time. The beach and sea water are very beautiful. There are different large-scale show performances every night, which is surprising because I did not see the introduction of the show when I booked the room. All inclusive of eating, drinking and having fun at the hotel, a great experience. The test for the new coronavirus is provided free of charge the day before departure, and the result is obtained on the day of departure. You need to present the test result when you check in.

The place is very big, so be aware that there will be quite a bit of walking to get to the lobby (where most restaurants are). When getting ready to leave, you can ask for the bellboys to get the baggage with you back to the lobby in one of the golf cars that they use to move around.

In general we're leaving with mixed feelings.
1.What's great:
- location & beach
- reception area
- swimming pool area
- animals in the resorts
2. What's so-so
- weather - it's windy on thia side of the island, not sure if all the time though, but something to consider while planning
- rooms - spacious but a bit outdated
3. What's really bad:
- food - thats probably the biggest disappointmen. We ate only at Food Market (main food court) and a la carte at Tao. Food Market - huge choice but food is tasteless, we've had enough after 2 days. Chairs are dirty. Serv8ce slow. Tao - really the worst asian food we have had in our life
- gym - very outdated equipment, trademills dangerous to use, should be put out of service. For the hotel of this size and class its really a shame.
- internet - erratic, losing connection all the time, often slow
Final verdict: we will not come back

總共有7個餐廳，衹吃了亞洲餐廳和意大利餐廳，都很好吃。buffet的餐廳也很不錯。衹有海邊的餐廳，有什麼漢堡炸魚薯條那家很難吃。其他幾家南美餐廳什麼的沒來得及去。
多米尼加的海灘老有人來推銷不太喜歡，所以都窩在自己房間的泳池那裡了。

The most positive thing is that the staff is all super friendly, with a super cheerful spirit, the hotel maintenance is super good, only some small details such as in the public bathrooms, general maintenance but not cleaning, the gastronomy is what I think can improve a little more apart from the Toro restaurant that was of high quality, the food is good but not at the level of excellence. We visited all the restaurants and they were good.
I do not have anything negative about the hotel, the bad thing for us was the beach, impossible to swim in, a lot of waves, the children cannot even play on the shore, super dangerous, we even managed to see a person drowning and thanks to the service of the lifeguards they managed to revive the person.
The rooms are quite comfortable and large, and if you are not interested in buying property do not agree to go to the talk for the points because you will lose half a morning. And with the vendors on the beaches you will find better prices.
But if you are only looking for a pool and nightlife with discos, casinos and theaters, this is the perfect hotel. If you are only looking for a beach, this is not the hotel, although you can find quiet beaches within a 20-minute walk along the shore.

|12.43km from city centerThis was our first time in Dominicana and we chose this hotel because our tour operator said it was new and we actually liked the pics (they are real by the way, not like in the majority of the hotels where they post only the best to attract guests). First thing that impressed us was that all staff was wearing masks at all times everywhere: inside and outside! No matter if they were showing sport exercises, cleaning or dancing in the lobby in the evening, they were always in masks! Then sanitizers everywhere . Temperature control at the entrance to the hotel and to all restaurants. The staff also makes sure you are wearing a mask and gloves when picking food. Everyone was polite helping and smiling all the time. I will name only some people here just because I didn't take photos of all names, so sorry if I didn't name you. All receptionists were ready to help and solve any problem you have. Bieavenido (thanks for late night talk, now I know when is the Independence day in Dominicana!😊). All our requests were satisfied within 5-15minutes (not Dominican minutes👆🤣). Guys at the restaurant all who were welcoming, thank you for giving us masks and gloves when we were too overwhelmed with holiday activities and forgot to get them🙈. Thank you for always wishing us good morning, nice day and smiling! Guys who take orders inside the restaurants and my Spanish teachers😅 Ramon, Antonio, Wilsoooooon Rincon, muchos gracias! They always ask you how you are, remember your orders and bring them before you think about it. Mariia Soriano and Andy from lobby bar- the smiliest girl and boy ever! The reception was particularly highly high thanks to Kimberly's friendlyness and efficiency, who greeted us every day and kept us informed about the activities of the hotel. Your personalized attention and your willingness to help us at any time were essential for our stay.
But what really loved us was the staff's attitude in general. From Manuel, the tours seller who became a friend and made us several gifts without commit, even the bar and buffet boys, such as Jazmín and Joan, who were always attentive and kind. Even Junior, who worked at night, was extremely social and made us feel part of the family.
We were very happy to have a nice and comfortable room, and we were very happy to have a nice room.

|35.29km from city centerThe resort itself was beautiful but there were pros and cons. More cons than I wanted. Pool closed at 6 pm so no night swimming which left little to do in the evenings. Drinks were weak, drank all day long with no effect. Food was the worst. The buffet was terrible and was really our only option since the snack bar ran out of burgers, basically lived on chips and salsa the entire trip. The restaurants which you needed to make reservations for was a joke. The reservation app didn’t work so you had to wake am up at 6 am to stand in line until 8 am in hopes of getting a reservation. The service was not pleasant. Workers badly made eye contact with you and you always felt like you were bothering them when requesting a beverage or asking a question. The resort has potential if they stopped it up on service, food, drinks and entertainment.

The beach is beautiful, the food was delicious, the drinks were wonderful. The staff were all really friendly and the service was generally great. There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options which was great! All the events were really enjoyable and overall it was a really relaxing and memorable vacation!
