I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou. It's really comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast has a good variety, and the surrounding facilities are great, making it super convenient to get anywhere. When my friend and I were chatting in the lobby, the front desk staff even brought us water – they were so warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. They helped me receive a package and even helped me unbox and organize it. I loved it!~

The room was fantastic! I'm completely hooked on the stunning city skyline views from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The front desk staff, especially the lady who assisted me, was incredibly kind and quick to answer any questions, resolving them on the spot. It was super convenient having outlets on both sides of the bed, so everyone could charge their devices. The bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas was also a major plus, making it very comfortable to use. Communication was smooth, check-in was hassle-free, and the overall experience was excellent.

Because I worked near Josi, I chose this hotel. The arrival time on the same day was already late at night. I made a note on Ctrip, I hope it is a non-smoking room. The high floor is far from the elevator. The hotel well recognized my needs and was very enthusiastic about upgrading. Considering that I didn't book breakfast, I also gave a free breakfast. Thank you very much. Back to the topic, let's talk about the hotel's own stay experience. To be honest, it's not a last resort, I haven't stayed for a long time. Domestic non-chain brands also have 1 point before check-in. Actually, I think I should give a good price rating. First of all, I think the size of the room is OK, not crowded, and the equipment and facilities are very complete. The facilities are also very easy to use and no defects are found. Sleeping well all night. The breakfast the next morning, I think it should be praised, whether it is the variety. Or the service of the restaurant makes people feel like a spring breeze. Finally, I want to say two small flaws. First of all, the glass in the shower room is too dirty and has been covered with pulp. A little point is deducted here. Secondly, the cold dish cold mixing area of the breakfast room. There are some cold dishes. Unable to clamp, it means that the ice may be too long. The above two small suggestions are that the hotel can improve immediately at low cost. Finally, I want to say a little extra topic. I understand the hotel very much. Need to be praised on a third-party platform. But I personally don't accept it. The active invitation-style way to give praise. It is even more unacceptable to let customers comment according to the wishes of the hotel in a rewarding way. Of course, this is my pure personal feeling. The overall flaw of the hotel is not concealed, it is still recommended to stay, especially in the Josi area. Is a good choice.

This hotel is so so so good!!!! I highly recommend this hotel! I will definitely stay here again when I come hangzhou again. The staff were all so friendly and kind. I really liked their chrysanthemum toothpaste (so unique!!) So I asked if I can buy it but it was not for sale so the housekeeper and her manager (names in pic) gave me some extras for keepsake. So so sweet!! I got to enjoy the different types of pillow firmness they have. Those are for sale if u want to get them. Room was soooo clean and fairly big. And everything smelled good. TV in room.. soooo huge!! Bed comfy n firm just the way I like it. Breakfast was also a good spread. I couldn't eat most of it as I am a Muslim and the breakfast was likely not halal. However I did take the bananas, lychees, coffee and the hardboiled egg with shell on.

Had a lovely weekend in Linping, feeling grateful! All the perks were so thoughtful: a room upgrade, themed decorations, and late check-out. I even skipped the car wash they offered, and they surprised me with a birthday cake – talk about burning calories! When we went to the kids' play area, the staff member was so warm and immediately turned on the lights and A/C. Highly recommend! Hot spring

Hangzhou|98.66km from city center
i have been to the hot springs three times before but I had never stayed at the hotel. This was my first time. I imagine the receptionist felt a little nervous when faced with two foreigners and maybe she felt shy. However, I found her lack of greeting, not a 你好 or 下午好, a little cold. When she did communicate with us, it was in super fast Mandarin to which I requested 请慢慢说 to no avail. She repeated just as fast twice more. I felt frustrated and then resorted to using a translation app. She called over an English-speaking Indonesian staff member. I don’t have the expectation that people will speak English to me, but I do appreciate slowing down in Mandarin and using simpler language. Hand gestures help a lot also. I wish she had told us the WiFi password, and where to access the hot springs. These are two key pieces of information a receptionist should provide when you check into a hot springs hotel. Our room had plastic flip flops to be worn to the hot springs. My pair had two left feet. When I showed the staff member on the second floor, she was helpful and got me a new pair. The hot springs were lovely, as usual. The buffet breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. The layout of the hotel leaves you walking from building to building. At first it’s confusing, but then it becomes okay.

We went for the infinity pool, with its mountain and water views. The location is nice, but I had to drive to find my room. Even the navigation system couldn't find it, and I had to ask the staff along the way. The only downside is that everything within the resort requires a shuttle bus, which is a long wait. When the bus arrives, you have to ask the driver if it's on your way; if it isn't, you won't be given a seat. There's no one to maintain order, and when it's crowded, there's always scrambling for a seat, sometimes even arguments. For food, we chose the à la carte Chinese restaurant, which cost over 700 yuan. The next day, we went to the pet park, but there were only a few sheep and sika deer, and a bag of carrots cost 20 yuan. Overall, the value for money isn't great, and it's worth just experiencing.

The hotel is located within the Yunqi Bamboo Trail scenic area, and the scenery is indeed beautiful, especially in the early morning before tourists arrive, when you can enjoy the 'Big Tree Kingdom' all to yourself. However, the room amenities are limited, and tourists constantly pass by the window during the day, so the curtains can't be opened. A highlight is the unlimited supply of Hupao Spring water, but there's no space to set up a tea table. Our butler, Xiao Yu, was very responsive and always ready to help. The breakfast, though small, was exquisite, with made-to-order noodles that tasted great.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, with an excellent location overlooking the Fuchun River. When we arrived, because we had a lot of luggage, the lady in charge of the door (should be a lobby leader) personally took us to the door of the room and called several employees to help us move our luggage. When we had dinner in the evening, not only was there a river view, but the waiters were also very thoughtful. The next day, I took the hotel elevator to the fourth floor and suddenly found a paradise on the top of the mountain, with lambs, alpacas and other small animals. I found them round and clean. I felt that the hotel was also very kind to animals, which was very touching. In addition, the hotel restaurant has a wall with blue sky and white clouds and cartoon characters of Hayao Miyazaki, which makes people feel the deep care. Like, like, recommend!

I read a lot of negative reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't very high. Naturally, every experience and feeling exceeded them. First, regarding the complaints about poor hygiene and facilities, I didn't experience that at all. The room had both air conditioning and underfloor heating, so it was very warm as soon as I entered. Everywhere I went was also very clean (perhaps because Phase 3 is newer). I also didn't find the service to be poor; in fact, I felt that every staff member I encountered was very polite. As for the hot springs, the pools in Phases 2 and 3 are a bit spread out and require a shuttle bus. Aside from the most popular influencer-heavy pool, the water quality in the other pools was quite good. Objective issues: We arrived late for dinner and could only be seated in the outdoor makeshift dining area. Although there were heaters and windbreaks, it couldn't be fully enclosed, and with a slight breeze in January, it still felt a bit chilly. (Our breakfast and dinner were buffets included in the package, and the food was really mediocre. If it's not part of your package, I wouldn't recommend paying for it; there are many restaurants nearby.) Also, walking between the hot springs can be quite cold (even though the shuttle buses have curtains). Overall, my family was very satisfied, and I hope to have such a good experience again next time.

During the May Day holiday, I spontaneously decided to escape to the mountains for some peace and quiet. Blindly booking the Xiangyuan area of Xiaoyao Manor turned out to be the biggest surprise of the trip. As soon as the car entered the grounds, I was surrounded by lush greenery. The lobby didn't have an overly luxurious feel; the wooden furniture, mixed with a faint aroma of essential oils, instantly calmed the exhaustion from the journey. The deluxe villa room I booked was a two-story duplex. The main bedroom opened directly onto a small courtyard, where a welcome fruit platter and freshly brewed pre-Qingming tea were already set out on the stone table. Outside the balcony were layers of tea mountains. Waking up in the morning, I could hear birds chirping, and the wind carried the refreshing scent of tea. Breakfast completely exceeded expectations. Local bamboo shoot baozi and savory soy milk were made fresh, and there was a dedicated area for kids to make small cakes and fruit platters. The service staff were all soft-spoken; refilling water and clearing plates didn't disturb anyone's meal. In the afternoon, I wandered around the gardens. The pathways were lined with gardenias and hydrangeas. A ten-minute walk from the lobby, crossing a bridge, led to the villa area of the manor – quiet and full of vibrant green. The most enjoyable part was the evening; the entire estate was perfectly still. Sitting in the courtyard, feeling the breeze and watching the stars, I didn't even want to touch my phone. The only slight regret is that due to the holiday, rooms were extremely tight, so I could only book for one night. Next time, I'll need to book at least two weeks in advance; two more nights would be just right.

The destination is Wind Valley. We found the most satisfactory homestay around. We arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening. The housekeeper greeted us warmly at the door, guided us to the parking space, made tea, and enthusiastically introduced the fun places around. The hotel is located at the foot of a large mountain. There are lawns and canopies at the foot of the mountain. The lighting atmosphere is particularly good at night. The gurgling stream is very healing in the deep nature. The frog calls can be heard clearly at night. The room layout is very special. The children like it very much. The starry sky room is booked. When you look up, there is an automatic skylight. This is a hotel I really love. It's an old five-star hotel, and while it might not be as shiny and new as it once was, its location is incredibly convenient. The rooms are huge and come with all the amenities you could ask for. West Lake is just a short walk across the street, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and the night market is vibrant and dazzling, offering so much to see. What's really thoughtful is that food deliveries are brought to your room by a robot! There are two areas I hope can be improved: 1. I booked a non-smoking room, but when I first entered, I could still smell smoke. It might be absorbed into the carpet or walls from previous guests. As a five-star hotel, couldn't they require guests to maintain a smoke-free stay throughout? This would better preserve the room's cleanliness and hygiene, and also prevent safety hazards. 2. Could self-service laundry facilities be provided? Most hotels in China now offer self-service laundry, which we're happy to pay for. Sending individual items for washing is really inconvenient. Plus, the online booking mentioned self-service laundry, but when I arrived, I was told it wasn't available. Fortunately, the kind young staff at the front desk saw my predicament and helped resolve the issue. Overall, the minor flaws don't detract from its greatness, and I will definitely stay here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Merchant Marco Hotel in Hangzhou and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent, within easy reach of West Lake, the metro and plenty of food options. In fact, I could even spot the hotel from Bai Causeway while walking around the lake. The hotel itself has a wonderful Marco Polo theme which gives it a bit of character. There is a statue of Marco Polo in the foyer, artwork and statues in the rooms, a common area with information about his travels, and even the elevators, restaurant and viewing area on the top floor continue the theme. It was a nice touch and made the hotel memorable. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a comfy bed and everything I needed. The reception staff were friendly and professional. One receptionist in particular had a remarkable memory, a lovely smile and made guests feel welcome while remaining thoroughly professional. One unexpected highlight was the free laundry. The self regulating washer and dryer actually worked as advertised, sensing the load and adjusting the cycle times accurately. Having lived in both northern and southern parts of the country for many years, I've come to realize that experiencing different lifestyles significantly enhances one's quality of life and emotional well-being. That's why Hangzhou, often called 'heaven on earth,' is always my top choice for a relaxing vacation away from Beijing. The name 'Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou' itself clearly indicates its prime location in the city center, directly connected to the high-end shopping mall, Kerry Center. This powerful alliance between a luxury hotel and a premium shopping complex is a prime example of brilliant business strategy. During my stay, I was warmly welcomed by the team, especially Emma, Clara, and Xenla. Emma's service was exceptional and personalized throughout, feeling just like a family member. We clicked from the moment I checked in. She's of average height, gentle, charming, elegant in her demeanor, and highly professional. We exchanged WeChat contacts, and she was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, providing instant recommendations for local food and any other travel inquiries I had. Following her advice and tips led to some truly excellent experiences. For instance, her recommendation for 'Ye Ma,' an outstanding representative of Hangzhou cuisine – lauded by the Michelin Guide and CCTV – really lived up to its reputation. Conveniently located right in Kerry Center, it was just a few minutes' walk to the restaurant. Both the dining environment and food quality were exactly what I'd hoped for. I'm truly grateful for her dedicated service. Such hotel marketing professionals are rare and invaluable, especially for high-end luxury hotels. I sincerely hope the hotel management recognizes and commends their diligent service, dedication, and the joy they bring to guests. Location-wise, the hotel is superb, about 800-1000 meters from West Lake, a pleasant 10-minute walk. The hotel lobby features Shangri-La's signature design elements – it's grand and soaring, exuding understated luxury yet feeling comfortable and spacious. Stepping in feels like a special occasion. My room was a garden balcony room on the third floor, which was large, tastefully decorated in subtle colors, and impeccably clean. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. Since I enjoy tea, the staff thoughtfully provided plenty of bottled water. The welcome fruit platter was generous in both variety and quantity. The toiletries provided were also very comfortable to use, maintaining the hotel's premium feel. However, building #7 lacks dining, fitness, and leisure amenities, with all public facilities concentrated in building #8. The terrace room offers a comfortable and enjoyable view. The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, and the front desk proactively inquired about my needs and were always willing to assist, responding very promptly.

Overall, the experience was truly beyond five stars. The hotel is located in the Xin'an district, offering a peaceful, comfortable, and serene environment. The hotel's decor, overall construction planning, and garden maintenance are all top-notch. The ambiance exudes a strong, calming energy that makes you feel incredibly relaxed. The environment alone definitely earns more than five stars. The front desk service was meticulous, but that's standard for any Four Seasons hotel. The Jin Sha restaurant within the hotel was absolutely superb; the food was truly delicious and offered incredible value for money. Their Western restaurant was equally excellent, and the cocktails at the lobby lounge were also high quality. Even a simple Gin & Tonic showed attention to detail in both the gin and tonic water. Ordering a drink also came with homemade snacks and olives. Breakfast was absolutely divine. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking the beautiful garden was a pure delight! The hotel's in-house professional photography service was also top-tier. The makeup, costumes, and professionalism of the shoot were all first-rate. The room was the only slight drawback. It wasn't an issue of being old; although it has some years on it, it's clearly well-maintained with tasteful materials, giving it a distinctive character. However, room 106, which I was assigned, was completely different from the Garden View King Room advertised on Ctrip's pictures. Being a corner room, it had poor lighting and a restricted view. The scenery and environment of the small outdoor pavilion were also very mediocre. One side was against a wall and a corridor, which felt very unpleasant. Had I known this, I wouldn't have spent an extra 2,000 yuan to choose this room (7,700+ per night). If this room is an anomaly, I suggest not assigning it to direct booking guests in the future. Wouldn't it be better to reserve it for VIP upgrades? (You can see details of the garden view in pictures 2-5). Oh, and the private boat tour, while expensive, was worth it. I recommend gathering 6 people; it's very comfortable and offers decent value for money. I still gave a full five-star rating because other aspects surpassed a five-star level, thus compensating for the room's shortcomings. Future guests booking the Deluxe Garden View King Room should be cautious. I recommend choosing other room types.

We had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two-bedroom villa. The villa was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and a memorable experience. The breakfast was excellent, and we particularly appreciated the effort made to accommodate our strict vegetarian dietary requirements. The buggy services were consistently prompt and efficient. The resort’s location amidst the wetlands provides a unique and tranquil natural setting, though some guests may find it slightly secluded. Communication through WeChat was smooth and responsive. We would also like to especially commend Samiksha, the intern, and the dining team member who spoke both English and Chinese fluently. Their attentiveness and willingness to help significantly enhanced our experience. As areas for improvement, the swimming pool water could have been warmer, and the addition of facilities such as a sauna or jacuzzi would further elevate the guest experience. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and well-managed stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the team.

My stay at JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, right next to MixC shopping mall, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. It's also close to West Lake. The lobby is grand and impressive, and my room offered a magnificent view of the Qiantang River. The decor was elegant and comfortable, and the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too firm – ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was extensive, with both Western and Chinese options, and everything tasted delicious. The pool and gym facilities were also excellent. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou!

The facilities are well-equipped. The bathtub water temperature was perfect for a soak, which is a pleasant surprise as even some high-end hotels sometimes miss the mark. The toiletries provided were also very comfortable to use, maintaining the hotel's premium feel. However, building #7 lacks dining, fitness, and leisure amenities, with all public facilities concentrated in building #8. This hotel by West Lake offers great value for money. First off, the location is fantastic – you just cross the road from the hotel entrance and you're right by West Lake (and the Hubin Yintai commercial area). Secondly, the rooms are quite spacious. (Though the steps in each room were a bit unusual for me, the motion-sensor lights helped, but it wouldn't be very wheelchair-friendly.) Thirdly, the hotel provides some nice extra services like a self-service laundry, Hanfu experience, and lacquer fan making. There's a fridge with both chilling and freezing compartments, and they even give you a thoughtful little gift when you check out (pictured in image 5). Overall, I was very satisfied.

We took a quick weekend trip to West Lake with our family of three. To make sure we had the best experience, I did a lot of comparisons and finally chose Xizi. And I was right to! The beautiful environment goes without saying, and the service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The breakfast spread was so rich and varied, I just wished I had a bigger stomach! It was close to the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel even prepared Zongzi gift boxes, making us feel completely at home and valued. If you wanted to go to any area, a quick call to the front desk would have a shuttle car ready to take you. Our room was on the first floor, and upon entering, a pleasant aroma filled the air. I loved the new Chinese style decor, even the bedding had a Chinese flair. During an evening stroll, we passed by Building No. 1 and, with the Leifeng Pagoda in the background, learned that this was where leaders from over thirty countries and regions took a group photo during the Hangzhou Summit. Now for the minor drawbacks: the soundproofing of the room door wasn't great; you could hear people opening doors and talking in the hallway. The bathroom door, however, was quite heavy and took some effort to open and close. And there were some cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed – a small detail. Overall, the minor flaws don't overshadow the brilliance; it truly is a dazzling pearl on the tender and picturesque West Lake!

Staying at the 'Big Golden Ball' landmark in Qianjiang New Town was absolutely worth it! The moment you see the grand dome in the lobby and the panoramic elevator, it's truly stunning. The front desk staff were efficient and had a pleasant, down-to-earth attitude. We booked a river-view room, and the view was unbeatable – you could lie in bed and watch the Qiantang River and the city's light show. The room was spacious, the bedding was soft and comfy, and the soundproofing was good too. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and the made-to-order station hit the spot. The location is also super convenient; the Citizen Center subway station is right outside, making it close to MixC Mall and City Balcony. Five-star experience, I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Hangzhou!

This hotel is excellent, truly living up to its long-standing reputation. The rooms must have been renovated as they don't feel old at all. The staff are wonderful; the front desk proactively upgraded my room, and all other service personnel were very polite. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, with the desserts being a particular highlight. There's also a West Lake viewing area, so on days without rain, you can enjoy the lake view while eating. Even if it's too wet to sit outside after rain, a post-meal stroll to take in the full panorama of West Lake is still very enjoyable. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay.
