I first stayed at Sydney Hilton in 2006 and the quality is still of that high standard after many years. It’s always great to meet good people, I always look forward to be welcomed by reception staff. On this occasion, Alisa was exceptional. When I asked for a specific room, which was unavailable, Alisa offered a room upgrade, which came with executive lounge access. This was greatly appreciated, as the Lounge on the 36th floor is one of the highlights of staying at the Hilton. It really did make my stay much more memorable. Well done to reception staff, and Alisa particularly. Good job.

The security access using the room key card with the elevators made me feel very safe. High speed elevators very smooth and fast. Suite was spacious as advertised. High elevation suite worth the extra cost. The view makes just being in your room an event. Coffee machine with espresso pods, sugar, and fresh cream in the fridge tasted great. Full kitchen amenities and washer dryer definitely a bonus.From$126

I've never stepped foot in a room for more than $800 with dark curtains surrounding the room, compared to other hotels with cool sunlight and air conditioning. I didn't get breakfast because the waiter refused when I was travelling with the hotel slippers and because my feet hurt not wearing my clogs. Bad and won't be came back!From$227

Good rates to stay in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Special offer for paying in cash, otherwise the normal charge for using credit card. Located near Town Hall and Queen Victoria Building with easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. Compact Queen Room was small but had the main requirements if you are only staying in the room to sleep and out all day - comfy large bed, TV on the wall, small desk and chair, air con, free wi-fi, small room safe, small fridge and coffee/tea facilities, blackout curtains, regular and nice rain shower fittings. Soap and wall dispensers of shampoo and body wash provided, but other amenities like hair conditioner, iron and iron board or dental kit can be requested from Guest Services (sign with list in the elevator). Friendly staff. Reception closed in the early hours but just use access card. A few negatives. My room was located facing the nearby wall of the building next door (so no view). I requested a view (if possible) but was informed there were no views for my room. I don't think hotels realise how any outlook can make a big difference for some guests to enjoy their stay. If I book again I would check first if a room facing the street was available. Worse and disturbing for me though was the constant humming noise and sometimes slight vibration caused by the air ventilation shafts outside my window (one quite close and attached to the outside wall). It also took a couple of days and some confusion before I received a make up room/do not disturb door sign. Many hotels these days take this lightly and are very casual about such arrangements, but some guests are more comfortable having this sign. Very minor was the cold water barely ran in the bathroom basin which was a little convenient at times. There was a TV entertainment lounge nook in the corridor outside my room which was not used during my stay but I would find that disturbing if it had been. Overall a pleasant stay but check out the different types of rooms available.From$109

Location is King, it’s within walking distance to the Rocks, Circular Quay, Pitt Street Mall, QVB. Walking distance to bus stops, light rail stop and subway., so you can literally spidering out anywhere in Sydney. The room I already check in was a standard room which I reserved, it’s a very nice room, however, the TV was not working and took the engineer over 20 minutes still not able to fix it. Per my request in changing to another room (which I expected to be another standard room), gratefully they offered me a better room on the top floor with a side view of Sydney bridge on the balcony
Most hotels will encourage its guests to leave towels on the rack for environmental reason. Yet they always changed it anyway. And the Radisson Blu Plaza is the one hotel whose house keeping do really leave your towel on the rack. Well done.
Knowledge on tourist attraction varies from one concierge from another. Really see if you are lucky that day. But overall I highly recommend this hotel in terms of service , location, comfort and hospitality
I planned to have a dip in the hotel pool before heading to airport. Yet it’s not possible with a number of kids playing balls and making big splash dive into the pool, making other people using the pool not possible. Security guards were there twice to stop that, yet the moment they left, activities resumed. Hope the parents can be more considerate as it’s not a big pool

The only disappointment was the hotel's price for weekend parking in the hotel's parking station in the building (albeit run and managed by a parking company) is more expensive than the public rate. Overall room was clean, however the USB port in the bedroom did not work, the alarm clock was not set and had an extremely annoying buzz, resulting in I had to unplug it anyway. The directions to the parking was extremely poor, no mention of a lift being used or what to expect. I suggested a flyer could be done to answer any questions for customers needing to use the car park service. There was little to no engagement of the staff about this and were only able to restate the poor information that was already given. I felt like a number and not a paying customer. It would seem your attention to details is lacking, and this would flow down from management to floor staff.From$126

Had a staycation for one night on Friday 7th October as a surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday. We loved it! We were really impressed with the service and the quirky aesthetics. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. We were given complimentary drink vouchers for the Gowings bar but unfortunately didn’t have time to go so we will be back soon for a drink! Definitely felt more like a more personalised boutique hotel experience compared with some of the big name chain hotels that have more of a standard corporate vibe. I booked the QT king room with breakfast included and we ended up staying in a room on the 10th floor which felt spacious and luxurious and had a view of the QVB. Felt very sound proofed, couldn’t hear any outside noise at all. Pillows were a little soft but the giant king bed more than made up for that. Really liked the option of having breakfast downstairs or room service. We took advantage of having the breakfast delivered (I ordered via the QT app) and the food and coffee were both surprisingly good. We have decided that QT Sydney will be our staycation hotel for special occasions. Looking forward to our next stay! From$215

I had booked two 3 BR suites. We have all stayed there before and enjoyed the location, size of the suites etc. However this time we had some serious concerns and none of the 10 people in my party are likely to stay there again. We arrived at 3 pm to check in – the advertised time. Our suites were not ready but we were told it would be 10 minutes until one of them was. It was almost an hour and a half! Then the second one was ready about another 20-30 minutes after that. This was completely unacceptable. We were given a key to the arrivals lounge and assured there would be tea, coffee etc available. It was a small room, with multiple groups squeezed in, and with no access to running water, so the coffee machine etc were not much use. The two units were OK, but very tired looking – especially the couches. For the price we paid, we expected better. There had been some mix up with my credit card when we checked in, and it turned out that I was charged twice for one room, and reception rang TWICE at around 10 pm to talk to me about it. Business and family travel.
We live in Western Sydney and decided on a night out in the city with some family. My partner works in the city, so convenient hotel location to the office and all other major shops and restaurants. Basically everything at your doorstep. Our room was ready by 12pm so my daughter and I were able to check in which was handy so I could drop off our bags. First time ever for us to have a complimentary mini bar stocked with drinks we like so we took full advantage of that! That's was a lovely surprise, thank you Grace Hotel! We booked a room with 2 double beds so we could push them together so we had a big bed to share with the little one sleeping in between us. Just easier than using a cot. I'd say she's more comfortable.
If we stayed longer we would've made use of the robes, the slippers and the dining.
Not our first time staying at the Grace and definitely won't be our last. Thank you again for the hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel!! 👌 ⭐️👌⭐️👌From$161

The location of Mercure is very close to the Central Station, which is very suitable for families like us with elderly and children. The staff at reception is very nice and helpful. She suggested us to sign up as a member so we could park at a discounted rate of $45 a day (the original seems to be $49). We were charged $1 which seems to be a deposit when we registered Check-in there. There are swimming pool and fitness facilities on the 14th floor. During our stay, we called the reception for the services. The staff came to our room quickly to provide services. In addition, maybe we stayed during the Christmas period, there was a draw. Were were lucky to win the prize. My child was very happy to win a toy remote car, which added more joy. We had a good experience with our stay. The hotel staff we met there are very nice and helpfiul. If we go to Sydney again, we will consider Mercure again! 🙂🙂From$119

The public bathrooms are not washed together, and the public toilets are also very clean. Residents are very good at abiding by the rules.

The bed was clean and we slept extremely well. The best part was the friendly welcome. Our hostess could not have been more helpful and kind. She made sure we understood the access codes and asked about our trip. Surprisingly great location, a short walk to Burwood/Victoria Rds and fabulous Chinese restaurants. Burwood Park also close by. I thought being near the road would be noisy, but it was quiet and we slept undisturbed. It’s not fancy, but that didn’t matter at all. If you want fancy, you’ll be paying a lot more.

Underground car park entrance from rear lane way. Can’t reserve, but called ahead and was assured low residency. Park in the first one you see, hard to turn around if you go to the bottom. Room was good, as expected. Marble flooring was cold, bring thick socks. $10 for pre-booked breakfast for two is great value - gives a limited bit very good menu and a hot drink each. Friday night ground floor restaurant was busy and loud music. Not a quiet lounge. Didn’t try the rooftop bar. Room x01 was that the back of the hotel, with unexpected views from Chatswood, North Sydney, the Bridge, and the City.

Appeared clean but very tired. Decor old (not historic old), ensuite pretty run down. TV didn’t work and old aircon was effective but a little noisy. Beds were truely awful. We suspect very old and cheap (could feel the springs) and extremely uncomfortable. Some noise from the hotel and bottle shop, but manageable. Won’t opt to stay here again.

The hotel is simply a beautiful place. Our room was huge with comfortable chairs in the sitting room. Fridge in the room and 24 hour continental breakfast (with plunger coffee) were a nice touch. Darcy's is definitely on our ”we'll be back” list!

It wasn’t The Hilton, but was satisfactory for us as we really didn’t spend too much time there. Most of their clientele are workers who are out all day. They have a pool for guests to use. A bit too cold for us though. They have a dining room for brekkie, we didn’t bother using it as there are heaps of restaurants and pubs around. All in all it was a pretty good experience. Good budget motel.

Nothing special or exciting but perfectly liveable. The only issue is maintenance like toilet leaking and bed frame wobbley and even the soap holder fell off the wall. The two male staff members were always so friendly and welcoming but the lady working on the Saturday had a cold personality and she would not lend me 10cents so I could use the laundry without having to walk all the way to the bank to get more coins even tho I had 2 more nights already paid for and would have gave them the 10cents back the next day.

Sadly that’s all it has going for it. Yes it’s a budget hotel, however I still expected some services. The building is pretty run down, however this wasn’t the issue. The room wasn’t warm or welcoming for a family. Tiles on the floors, not great when you have a toddler who likes to play on the floor. The room was dirty, someone else’s soap in the bathroom and signs of mould in the bathrooms. Sheets didn’t fit the beds and came off during the night. If you stay here, don’t expect a good nights sleep, as the lights from outside shine through the old 80s style glass above the entrance doors. Also don’t expect your room to be serviced. After discovering the room wasn’t serviced the first day, we asked for fresh towels and requested our room to be on the service list for the following day. No problems was the response. However the next day came and again no service was done. WIFI also did not work. The other guests also made me feel uneasy. Do not recommend for a family or for more than a quick overnight stay. Faulty towers came to my mind!

|4.6km from NewtownWe came here for the Backstreet Boys concert, and it was a very busy weekend with Harry Styles also on at the other arena. The checkin was seamless, we had prepaid with Qantas hotels and then just paid our parking directly to the hotel as we had self parked underneath the hotel. Parking entrance was monitored and checked against booking name due to the large events, so well done on the hotels as the parking is shared with the novotel across the road also with limited parking spots available. The room has everything you need, was clean and well maintained, bathroom immaculate. Kettle and fridge with huge amount of floor space. We didn't get to spend much time in the room as we were there for an event, but the bed was fantastic. Staff helped with all enquires, no problem. So close to concert venues, and we ubered to homebush DFO to kill time before check in.

Generally the rooms are very dated in need of complete renovation. The floor of the room was uneven with a huge concrete bump under the carpet at the doorway of the bathroom! It is a trip hazard and very unsightly. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The room was very small though and we would have appreciated a bit more room. The windows opened which was great for fresh air was but hoons doing burnouts on the road below during the night forced us to keep them closed unfortunately. The bed was super comfy. The Brasserie was nice with a limited menu but the waiter forgot to give us a side dish for our main meal. Breakfast was fairly expensive for plain continental (no hot food) breakfast. The waitstaff were friendly. The lady who checked us out was very friendly and happy to have a chat.

Hotel facilities are relatively complete, the overall service is higher. The parking lot costs $40 per day for capping, not very cheap. There are more fast food and restaurants downstairs, and eating is still very convenient. There is a large drug store near the T7 station, and there are many things.

Make sure you book a car space at time of booking if needed to avoid missing out. Friendly staff and easy check-in and check-out. Laundry and Ironing available. Convenient store and burger place downstairs. We are a family of 4 and comfortably stayed overnight for a concert and conveniently walked to and from the stadium. Highly Recommend for an affordable stay.
