I love the ambience of the hotel and the location it is situated. It is a good place to relax and escape from city. They have good amenities like indoor playground, gym and indoor pool. They also have show and programme too. They have free photoshoot but I did not have sufficient time to it. Most importantly, they gave extremely good customer service and thanks for their nice gesture that I no need to split two rooms with my kids and my family really enjoy the stay and wish to extend longer but we have limited time. Room is clean and bed is comfortable! We manage to recharge and set off to our next journey.

Coming to Shanghai, I specifically chose the Pagoda Hotel (Fudan University, Shanghai Branch) that I've been eyeing for a while. I booked the Deluxe Family Twin Room for four people, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations! First of all, the hotel's location is fantastic! It's right in the Wujiaochang business district and KIC (Knowledge Innovation Community), next to University Road, which has a ton of trendy restaurants and cafes. In the evening, we went to a folk bar nearby, and it was a wonderful experience. It's also super close to Fudan University; we even took a walk on campus in the morning, which was lovely. Back in the room, it was incredibly spacious, absolutely not cramped for a family of four. There were two large beds, plus a tatami mat that could be used for sitting or lying down. We had tea and snacks on it during the day, and there was plenty of space to move around. The smart room control system was so convenient; a simple voice command could open or close the curtains and turn the lights on or off. Through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, we had an unobstructed view of Wujiaochang's city skyline, which was truly expansive. The hotel's service was also excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the butler even asked about our accommodation preferences in advance. There's also a free self-service late-night snack bar after 9 PM, which was a pleasant surprise! The mini-bar was complimentary, and all the in-room amenities were well-stocked. Plus, food deliveries were brought up by a robot, which was both convenient and private. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, which is incredibly thoughtful for families with children, allowing us to wash and dry clothes anytime. Finally, a quick reminder: hotels in Shanghai typically don't proactively provide disposable toothbrushes, but you can always ask the front desk if you need one. However, this is a minor detail, and overall, this Pagoda is definitely worth recommending, especially for family trips – you can't go wrong with it!

The non-smoking room was spotless! Impeccably clean, the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the Hansgrohe bathroom fixtures were a great touch. The location is also convenient, very close to MixC, making it easy to shop and dine. The front desk service was very attentive; any issues were quickly addressed. I've found a real gem in this modern tower. The hotel occupies floors 15 to 18, and the reception is a 10/10 – the staff are super friendly, they offer coffee, tea, and little pastries, and there's also a very comfortable coworking area. The rooms are like a small studio with a kitchenette: microwave, washing machine, dryer, a full-size fridge, and plenty of closet space. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the shower… wow! The water pressure is amazing, absolutely wonderful. The door is floor-to-ceiling, so steam from long showers doesn't escape into the rest of the room. The sink area is a bit small, but it's fine for one or two people. Special mention: the magnifying mirror and the Japanese toilet – a real luxury that I really appreciated. We were so comfortable that we ended up extending our stay by 3 more days. The only downside: the metro is about 1 km away, maybe a bit more. But the value for money is so good that what you save on the hotel easily covers a taxi ride. From now on, this will be my go-to place in Shanghai. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Guests: 2 adults, 1 child (6 years old) Room type: King Bed (Double Bed) --- ⭐ Location: Absolutely Perfect The hotel is right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. M&M's, LEGO, and the Bund are just a short walk away. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and taking the subway. The area downstairs is lively, but we didn't find it noisy. However, if you're sensitive to noise, I recommend asking the hotel for a higher floor room in advance (their highest is the 6th floor). ⭐ Room: Small, but Clean The room isn't very large. After placing two suitcases and a stroller, it was pretty difficult to move around. One unique feature: the sink isn't inside the bathroom; it's right by the entrance on the right. If this bothers you, you might want to reconsider. We specifically asked the hotel staff, and if you want a larger room, they suggest the family room. The main differences are the location within the hotel and the size of the desk. If you're traveling with kids, I honestly recommend booking a family room directly. As for cleanliness, it was impeccable: · Towels were replaced daily, and they were the individually packaged, disposable kind. · A cleaner came to tidy up every day. · Water bottles were replenished daily. The hot water and air conditioning worked perfectly, no issues at all. ⭐ Service: Truly Worth Mentioning This was the most surprising aspect of our entire stay. We don't have Chinese phone numbers, and initially, we were worried about ordering food delivery or making purchases. However, the hotel staff were incredibly proactive in helping us. Not only was their attitude excellent, but they genuinely solved our problems: · Helped with food delivery: They used their own phones to order meals for us directly. · Helped buy a suitcase: On one occasion, we needed to buy a suitcase, and a supervisor named Ruan (阮) even used his personal account to order it for us. This level of service goes beyond ”basic courtesy”; they were truly dedicated to helping guests. We arrived at the hotel past 1 AM, and the front desk quickly processed our check-in without any issues, even though we were using passports. Luggage storage was also smooth: On the day we went to Wuzhen, we left our large suitcases in the lobby. They tagged them, and we simply picked them up upon our return. There are many surveillance cameras throughout the hotel, making it feel quite secure. ⭐ Value for Money: No Breakfast, No Restaurant, but Location and Service Made Up for It This hotel doesn't offer breakfast or have a restaurant. While there are many dining options downstairs, the hotel itself doesn't provide breakfast. Considering the price, the location, and this level of service, it was very reasonable, even exceeding our expectations. --- ✅ In Summary If you want to stay near Nanjing Road and can accept a slightly smaller room, this hotel is definitely worth considering. Especially if you're traveling with children and don't have a Chinese phone number, their service will give you great peace of mind. However, for family trips, I recommend booking a family room directly.

Nice little hotel, but not for me. It is located right next to Sam's Club and that's always nice. Being able to eat Sam's pizza and hot dogs is always nice. The bed, while big, was not comfortable to me. I know everyone has their preferences on softness levels. When I stay at a hotel, l like mattresses I melt into because they are soft. Not that way here. But I know some people prefer these mattresses. They had a restaurant and bar that looked nice, but I didn't visit as I had dinner and drinks with others not staying at hotel. The real deal breaker for me was no refrigerator in my room. Some rooms may have them. Mine did not (that I could find at least). When I stay at a hotel for more than one night, a refrigerator is a must, either for leftover food or cold drinks. Also, for a superior queen room, I think it said balcony or terrace and sofa, none of which my room had. And for garden view... Definitely not a pretty garden, more like a cement walkway and Sam's. And lastly, no room service... I know it's not advertised as having room service... But paying nearly 500rmb a night, just having a club sandwich or dumplings available late night would be nice. Maybe work out a deal with Sam's. Colleague stayed at a hotel less than 10 mins away that was cheaper, had a bathtub, had a late night menu, and had a refrigerator. Staff were great! Very helpful! If I go back to area, not sure if I would choose again. The access to Sam's is nice. I'd like to try out their bar and restaurant. But the no refrigerator scares me off a bit.

At first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall. The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery. Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use. Cleaners really kept the room tidy. Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe. I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.

When visiting Disneyland, I often choose between the Regal International and the Century Park Hotel. The Century Park offers slightly larger beds and is a bit more affordable. If you're staying at least two nights and don't cancel, the price is incredibly good, and it includes breakfast for two. This time, I came after the New Year and surprisingly found a Pudong hotel coupon on Ctrip: 500 off for every 1500 spent, which was a fantastic deal! The only downside is that the air conditioning temperature can't be adjusted individually. The staff were very welcoming, and they've even added robots that can deliver meals to your room – makes it even harder to leave, haha!

First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive throughout my stay. The front desk staff were very polite during check-in and patiently answered all my questions. Traveling with a child, I was delighted that they proactively offered a complimentary kids' buffet breakfast, which was a huge bonus as I didn't have to pay extra. Staff members would greet us whenever they saw us, and requests were handled quickly and efficiently, without any cold or perfunctory attitudes, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The eel rice in the package exceeded all expectations! The eel was perfectly roasted—rich, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth—with a sauce that was just the right balance of sweet and savory. Every bite, with the rice soaked in sauce, was incredibly satisfying. Paired with miso soup, side dishes, and chocolate cake, the whole meal was incredibly fulfilling. The Japanese cuisine tasted very authentic, not a single miss. The buffet breakfast offered an incredibly wide variety, covering both Chinese and Western options! There were freshly baked breads, bacon, egg tarts, fried rice, various fruits, and even unlimited Poly yogurt. With both Chinese and Western pastries, there was something for everyone, adults and children alike. The hotel also has its own hot spring. After a good meal, a relaxing soak in the hot spring was wonderfully rejuvenating. It's perfect for both family trips and gatherings with friends. The value for money is excellent; the service, food, and environment are all top-notch. I'll definitely be back!

The three of us arrived at the hotel around noon on the 17th and checked in immediately. A hotel staff member then helped us with our luggage and drove us to our room in a shuttle, even providing a fruit plate. That afternoon, some of us enjoyed the hot spring provided by the hotel. Breakfast started at 7 AM the next day, and a shuttle service took us to Disneyland. They picked us up around 9 PM to bring us back to the hotel (the same schedule applied for the morning and evening of the third day as well). The hotel's exterior environment is excellent, with a lavender garden right next door and Bicester Village directly opposite, making both transport and shopping very convenient. The interior facilities are also very comprehensive, with all accommodation necessities provided, and everything is clean and tidy. The staff are warm and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. During our stay, from the doorman proactively helping with our bags to the efficient check-in at the front desk, and then to the meticulous room service, every step was seamless. The instructor was gentle and patient, explaining the fragrance layers. With a complete selection of top, middle, and base notes, including woody, floral, fresh tea, and Zen-inspired herbal scents, I slowly blended, let it settle, and sealed my own unique niche perfume. Every breath was filled with a gentle aroma, instantly soothing away any anxious feelings. Slowing down to experience the fusion of fragrance and Japanese aesthetics, and then blending after a private onsen bath, made the ritual feel perfect. The finished perfume has a subtle and sophisticated scent that lingers, bringing home a full sense of vacation and healing. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, the environment clean and calming. The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Abel from the Concierge Team at Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World. He responded promptly, provided detailed information about the room decoration options, and even suggested different color themes to make the setup more special. Throughout the entire process, he stayed in touch, answered all my questions, and ensured that every detail was taken care of. When we arrived, the room looked even better than I had imagined. The surprise brought so much joy to my friend, and it made her birthday truly memorable. No one had ever organized such a surprise for her before, so seeing her reaction was absolutely priceless. I am very grateful to Abel for helping make this special moment possible. I would also like to say a few words about the hotel itself. Service: The hotel's guest manager and other service staff were all polite and responsible. They immediately addressed anything I felt was not up to par. However, I must honestly tell you that the hotel's hygiene and room facilities urgently need maintenance and adjustment. Hygiene: One bed sheet was dirty and another was torn. This shouldn't happen at a five-star hotel; even budget hotels like Atour or Orange wouldn't have this issue. My habit is to check if the bed is clean first when I stay at a hotel. I believe this part of the cleaning is the most important. Furthermore, the bathroom and room floors also need more attention during cleaning. As for the delivery robots, if there aren't enough, I suggest adding more, or at least inform guests about the wait. Please don't leave guests' meals in the elevator; I happened to see mine there when I entered. I don't quite understand this practice. In summary, as a five-star hotel, I hope you can strive to improve your quality. Thank you.

As a five-star hotel, both the service and facilities are quite good. I've always heard that Westin's family rooms are great, and I got to experience one on this trip to Shanghai. I won't go into detail about the good aspects, but I do have a few suggestions: 1. For a family room, there actually aren't many kids' amenities, just a few stuffed animals. For example, a step stool could be provided in the bathroom for children. 2. The sink in the bathroom constantly accumulates water on the inner side. I'm not sure if it's due to the countertop's angle or something else, but I hope it can be adjusted. 3. The toilet paper holder in the WC is too far inward, making it inconvenient to grab paper. If you pull hard, the roll might fall off. Moving the holder forward, reversing its direction, or moving it to the right side would all be good solutions. Overall, I hope Westin continues to improve as a high-end hotel. I look forward to experiencing it again next time!

Let me start with the cons: The room I stayed in was triangular, which isn't really to Chinese taste. While you can tell the decor uses high-quality materials, it's been over a decade, so the hardware is showing obvious signs of age and isn't very modern. Switches are crooked, and the lights flicker. It's like an experienced beauty; even with efforts to maintain her, her age is still apparent. Aside from the aging hardware, everything else is quite good. The hotel's location is definitely excellent, very convenient, and the surrounding area is lively – it's one of the best spots in Shanghai. As for service, they even gave me a late check-out when I returned late. The restaurant and bar on the first floor have a great atmosphere. Overall, it's quite good. She was incredibly kind and friendly during check-in, handling everything efficiently and professionally. Throughout our stay, she patiently answered all our questions and paid close attention to our needs, which was incredibly thoughtful. Such attentive and warm service made us feel incredibly comfortable and truly showcased the hotel's excellent service standards and personalized approach. We are sincerely grateful for Lorna's dedicated service. We'll definitely choose Grand Hyatt again for our next stay.

The Bund Area Shanghai|1.78km from city center
The charm of a century-old hotel truly comes alive when you stay here! 📍 **Unbeatable Location** Stepping out, you're right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The Bund observation deck is less than a 3-minute walk away. From your window, you can see the historic Bund architecture and the Huangpu River. Lying in bed at night, watching the bustling traffic on Nanjing Road creates a delightful contrast of lively and serene – it's truly magical. When you're tired from exploring, it's so convenient to pop back to the hotel for a rest before heading out again. You simply won't find another location like it. 🏨 **Immersive Republican Era Ambiance** The moment you step into the lobby, you're transported back to old Shanghai! Marble pillars, vintage carvings, creaky wooden floors, and even the hallway lighting evoke a sense of history. The hotel also features a small historical museum, where you can see many old artifacts and hear stories from the staff about the past. That profound sense of history is truly touching. We stayed in a river-view room, which maintained a retro decor but with all modern facilities. The bedding was plush, and the toiletries had a luxurious scent. 💁 **Heartwarming Service** I mentioned it was my birthday when I called ahead to book, and the front desk staff, Minie Chen, upgraded our room for free and even gave us a handwritten card and a small cake. The bellhop kindly carried our luggage to the room, and even the security guards at the entrance would greet us warmly. Lisa Zhou was so sweet and gentle, and her food recommendations were delicious. The night manager, Roger Wang, was absolutely fantastic – his voice was lovely, and his service was incredibly attentive and warm. Billy Liang at the front desk was also superb and made us feel so welcome. As someone who appreciates details, I was thoroughly impressed. In the morning, the room was immaculately cleaned by the staff, and in the evening, they thoughtfully prepared turn-down service. It was incredibly considerate. 🎷 **Must-Try Signature Experiences** ▫️ **The Jazz Bar is a must-visit!** Every night, there's a jazz band with musicians who've been performing for decades. Sitting here with a cocktail, gazing at the Bund's night view, you can almost imagine yourself as a character in a movie – the atmosphere is absolutely captivating. ▫️ **The breakfast at the Ground Floor's Nine Nations Restaurant offers an incredible selection.** The freshly made local noodles are absolutely divine. The auntie making the noodles, knowing it was my birthday, specially added eggs, spare ribs, beef, shrimp, and greens to my bowl. Such a rich and delicious 'longevity noodle' was a truly special experience. For the 8th-floor restaurant, you need to book a window table several days in advance to get the full dining experience. The portions are generous, and the food is excellent. I couldn't finish the whole chunk of Chongming lamb ribs, so I packed them to go and finished them at midnight in my room. Both hot and cold, they tasted fantastic! My birthday was truly wonderful, thanks to every staff member at the Fairmont Peace Hotel. Thank you for the joy you brought me and for your excellent service. I look forward to seeing you again. [thumbs up][fireworks]

The room I initially booked had a lingering smell, either of smoke or mildew, so I was upgraded to a different room. There was a minor misunderstanding which they promptly rectified with a complimentary fruit plate. I have a deep affection for Jing An Shangri-La; it is, without a doubt, the best hotel in Shanghai. While some facilities might be showing their age, the cleanliness and service consistently remain top-notch. I once witnessed a guest spill coffee on the carpet during breakfast. The manager immediately stood by the stain, waiting for colleagues to clean it up, and the entire process from discovery to clean-up took less than two minutes. I hope the hotel team maintains this level of professionalism. Shanghai may have many luxury hotels, but your efforts truly demonstrate what an industry benchmark looks like. The Qiantan Shangri-La, in my opinion, leans more towards an influencer-driven style with mediocre service, and I haven't stayed at the Pudong or Hongqiao Shangri-La. However, due to its prime location and excellent amenities, I will always support the Jing An branch. The turndown service is excellent; I just wish they'd add a small dessert or chocolate in the future.

This veteran five-star hotel truly lives up to its reputation. The facilities are impeccably maintained, with no signs of wear and tear. The touch panel controls for lights and curtains are intuitive and easy to use. The bathroom has excellent water pressure, making for a very pleasant shower experience. When we returned from our day out, the room had already been tidied up, and all amenities replenished. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, soft against the skin, and the pillows were just the right height – I slept wonderfully. The hotel's Cantonese restaurant also serves delicious food. The location is fantastic, too, very lively. The Bund, Super Brand Mall, and IFC are all within a 10-minute walk, making it super convenient for shopping and sightseeing. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

Manger George's attitude was very good, making us feel like at home. The hotel is located very near to nanjing east street with alot of resturants nearby. It is behind the holiday inn hotel building. The counter staffs are very friendly and helpful. Especially thanks to the housekeep auntie on level 5. She give us extra bottle water and coffee upon request and always kept a smiling face. Laundry room was good as the machine for both washing and drying was big. The hotel bed and pillow was firm and comfortable. Will definitely choose this hotel again.

The location is great, near to many famous food places and shopping district. However, the hotel room is small, bathroom is small too. The room has a smell of mouldy air con, or clothes not dried with sun kind of smell that lingered for long. They don’t change bedsheets or blanket covers unless requested (we stayed five nights). And after night 3 I requested cos it was dirty. Ordering food and collection of Taobao parcels were easy. Service staff were friendly. So all they need is really a Reno I guess. Oh there is no drop off area for hotel so getting on cabs or didi was a bit difficult but doable.

We expected more for the price, but it is not bad. Not a 4 star for sure, but fits into a good 3 star category. Location is not great, not walkable to many places and even the riverfront promenade here is not the greatest. Taxis to anywhere will take a while. But the rooftop does have a fantastic view. They could have designed a better space u p there as it is not cozy nor pretty with the fake grass the way it is now. Breakfast was so-so with the food cluttered in a small room that gets crowded easily. AC is strong on top of the food making it very cold. Room was okay, bed quite small and door with gaps leaking lots of light during the night bothered us. They offer you a gift if you leave a 5 star review during check-out. Not a good sign..

This hotel has offered me an absolutely wonderful and satisfying stay experience during my trip in Shanghai, and I would highly recommend it to all travelers visiting the city. First of all, its location is unbeatable, which is the biggest highlight of this hotel. The property sits right next to the iconic Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. It only takes a few steps to reach bustling shopping malls, local snack streets and various entertainment spots, allowing guests to easily experience Shanghai’s urban prosperity and trendy atmosphere. Whether for sightseeing, shopping or casual walks, the location brings great convenience throughout the trip. In terms of transportation, the hotel enjoys extremely accessible traffic conditions. It is closely connected to Metro Line 2 and Line 10, two major urban subway lines. With convenient metro access, traveling to Shanghai Railway Station, Hongqiao Airport and Pudong Airport becomes incredibly time-saving and hassle-free. It is perfectly suitable for both business travelers and tourists who pursue efficient and smooth journeys. The room experience also exceeded my expectations. The overall layout of the room is comfortable and cozy, and the highlight is the stunning night view outside the window. At night, the neon lights of downtown Shanghai light up the whole city, presenting a gorgeous and charming urban scenery. Sitting by the window and enjoying the beautiful night view is an extremely pleasant relaxation after a busy day of traveling and working. In addition, the service of the hotel is thoughtful and professional. The front desk staff are warm, polite and efficient. They are always patient to answer guests’ questions and provide practical travel tips, creating a welcoming and comfortable check-in atmosphere. What’s more, the hotel is equipped with intelligent robot delivery service. The robots can deliver water, snacks and daily necessities to the room quickly and accurately. This intelligent service is not only efficient and hygienic, but also adds a modern and interesting touch to the stay. Overall, this is a cost-effective hotel with prime location, convenient [咖啡]transportation, amazing views and thoughtful service. I will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Shanghai.
