Sydney Central Business District Sydney|0.55km from city center
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, directly opposite QVB (Queen Victoria Building), which makes getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. However, the room's hardware condition was quite disappointing. The space was very small and the facilities were quite old. The overall feel was probably equivalent to a domestic three-star standard. The service was decent though, with housekeeping coming daily. All things considered, I likely won't choose to stay here again. Unless you have an extreme obsession with being 'right outside QVB', you can definitely find a larger room with newer facilities for the same price in Sydney.

Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The suite had huge windows, and housekeeping cleaned daily. The kitchen facilities were complete, though I was hesitant to use the stove for fear of setting off the fire alarm. Was it $1460 or something like that? **Location:** The location is excellent. It’s a short walk to QVB and other places in the city. We even walked to the Opera House. Coming back from the outlet mall, it was a direct bus ride. **Service:** Good, the front desk staff were friendly. Even though there's no breakfast, it's easy to find breakfast nearby, so it wasn't a big deal. The only thing to note is that there's a lot of noise from racing cars or sirens (or ambulances?) outside the window at night.

The hotel's location is its biggest advantage. Circular Quay is right outside the first floor, and Royal Gardens is across the street from the third floor, making it very convenient. The rooms seem like apartments, as when booking, each one seemed to have a kitchen, but we didn't need one. The room had a balcony with a view of the Sydney Harbour, which was beautiful both day and night. The only downside was that the gym equipment wasn't very well used. Breakfast was a generous portion, though you had to order it yourself. One portion was enough for two people.

Good transportation link with trains, subways and light rails for airport and Sydney centre. Nearby big Woolworths supermarket, shops, cafe and restaurants. Hotel is a little hard to find as it’s not a grand entrance and attached to a residential building complex. Staff are friendly with smiles, amenities workable though WiFi is a bit unstable but overall good value for money in such central location. There’s a roof top terrace w/a small pool too.

The location is in the middle of the CBD and it is convenient to go to the sights. The room is a bit old and the WIFI signal is weak. The elevator has to manually open and close the door. The elevator has to open the door once and the floor of the first floor is not aligned. It is necessary to bend over and step on the way, which is terrible! Be careful of safety incidents. There is a waitress who doesn't care.

Overpriced hotel. Room and bathroom were spacious but dusty. A lot of dust everywhere so I will definitely not recommend this hotel to customers with dust allergy. The hotel is quite old, but its location is excellent. Hyde Park is just across the road, and the other side is very close to the shopping street. Service: Some staff in the lounge were incredibly warm and fun, while a few others had a very mediocre attitude. The front desk staff were great, but they did miscalculate the hotel charges. After pointing it out, they said a manager was needed to fix it. It's also kid-friendly, by the way. Location: Super convenient for visiting Hyde Park or going shopping. Facilities: It's old, but well-maintained. Most hotels in Sydney are quite old compared to those in China. It's lovely to sit on the lounge's outdoor balcony and enjoy the breeze in the evening (if it's not too crowded). Recommendation? I probably wouldn't specifically seek it out, but if I'm going to Hyde Park or shopping nearby and the price is right, I might stay again. If it's just for eating and drinking in Sydney, I'd probably choose somewhere else with better value for money and more suitable for my family.

Darling Harbour Sydney|0.75km from city center
This hotel's location isn't as good as the Meriton serviced apartment I stayed in before. Although it's close to Darling Harbour, the surrounding area isn't as lively anymore. The room was ready by 2 PM. We left our luggage at the hotel, and when we returned, it had been delivered to our room. The service was excellent, and everyone from the front desk to the bell staff on the first floor was very nice. The building isn't very large. Our room faced the freeway, but it wasn't noisy; the soundproofing was excellent. The room decor is quite minimalist, and the room itself is quite spacious – not at all cramped for two people. It had two queen-sized beds, and the bedding, sheets, and comforters were all very comfortable and clean. There was a coffee machine and a small refrigerator, and the room lighting was quite bright. The bathroom was also a good size and had a bathtub with good water pressure. However, the sink drained slowly, and the shower water sprayed out in all directions, making showering a bit difficult. I eventually just gave up on washing my hair. We got a discount on breakfast when we checked in; it was A$30 per person. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate, and we enjoyed it, especially the variety of gluten-free bread and cakes, which I was particularly happy about. Despite these points, all the staff in the lobby were particularly friendly and enthusiastic, especially the concierge team. They were humorous and entertaining, making conversations with them very pleasant. My expectations for Parkroyal were quite high, but I was a little disappointed. Overall, I'd say it's a bit below a four-star rating.

The hotel was alright, definitely spacious and in a convenient location. The living room and bedroom is excellent in my books. However, it’s a bit dated, and the toilet shows its age. We encountered small cockroaches each evening we returned, luckily just the slow kind that you can easily catch. I appreciated the green programme that rewards guests who skip room service with vouchers, but the voucher has limited use, especially with the breakfast spread being quite limited; honestly, you’re better off heading out to nearby cafés instead. Skipping housekeeping also meant I had to dispose of my own trash, and the recycling bins near the lifts kept piling up without being cleared. Can be better.

For my Sydney trip, I chose the Meriton Suites Kent Street, and overall, it was a great experience, especially for families. The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Chinatown, with an abundance of dining options nearby. Whether you're craving Chinese food or local delicacies, you'll easily find something. The pho downstairs was delicious, making dining both easy and tasty. The suites are designed like apartments, fully equipped with everything you need for daily living, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The room was on a high floor with a great view. The overall details of the room were pretty good, but they didn't provide water, toothbrushes, or toothpaste. However, you could get toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk. The air conditioning temperature wasn't adjustable. The hotel's location is decent; there's an exhibition center and a construction site nearby, but at least on our side of the hotel, the noise wasn't too bad. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the service was okay. The hotel lobby was too plain, and the front desk service was terrible. The 3 PM check-in time felt like an unfair rule, especially since they said they'd notify us if the room was ready early, but they never did. Even going to the front desk ten minutes early to ask didn't help; they just ignored us and made us wait until 3 PM.

Lovely pool area and the water was perfect temperature. Foyer area was stunning . Nice entertainment Friday night.  Negatives were the extremely inappropriate music playing around the pool that was full of kids in the afternoon! A lovely hotel to stay in, the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to lots of restaurants, shops, tourist sites. Walkable from the hotel, bus stops nearby to take you further afield or a short walk to the ferry terminal. The breakfast is great, I really enjoyed the different options available from the a la carte menu. The evening social hour for guests was also a nice addition, though the wine was more limited in its offering to guests on the second night (Saturday) than it had been on the Friday evening, but perhaps this was due to a higher volume of guests. Still a really great touch. Cocktails in the bar were really tasty! The actual building is beautiful and it had a lot of information plaques around to tell you about what it was previously used for, there are some interesting art deco style touches to look out for.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the City on a backstreet. Hyde Park, Town Hall, and Myer are all within a 19-minute walk, and it's surprisingly quiet because it's off the main roads. The room isn't huge; you can open your suitcase, but there's limited space left. It's perfectly adequate for two adults and a child. Sebastian at the front desk was incredibly friendly and even offered to take photos for us (there's a Christmas tree at reception covered in guest photos). However, other front desk staff weren't as enthusiastic, and the breakfast staff were a bit unprofessional (getting orders wrong and dropping things while clearing tables). It’s was an okay experience, everything was alright but staff were not very knowledgeable about the hotel. I asked if there was a freezer I could store my food in and both of the receptionist said no. I also ask if they could store it for me and they said they didn’t have one. When I go up to the room, they have the freezer. Also TV connection for Netflix or YouTube most likely won’t work. Connection is unstable. Breakfast is okay but not too many options. When I ask the two receptionist for umbrella , they say the hotel don’t have umbrella for the guests at all, which I think is odd. Decent stay but value for money is so so, rooms were a bit too small as well.

Service: There was one Asian-looking female receptionist who was quite mean, but everyone else was very welcoming and enthusiastic. Environment & Hygiene: As an established hotel, the hygiene and environment are very good, and it's always packed with guests. Even without a view of the Sydney Opera House, the scenery from the high floors is still beautiful.

Cleanliness of the room was great. Staff were very friendly and the location of the premises to where we were going for a wedding was good. Unfortunately the hotel is undergoing renovations at present and the walk from the hotel parking to the reception was not the best but I'm sure once these renovations are complete, the access door will be re-opened. Overall, I enjoyed our overnight atayhere.

The room's location is excellent, and it's very spacious. It's super close to the fish market. The hotel itself is a lot of fun, and there are many dining options. I'm very satisfied and will definitely book again next time I visit!

Firstly, the photos are severely misleading (I'm not sure if this is a Ctrip issue or a hotel issue). The accessible room was pictured with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the bathroom also had floor-to-ceiling windows, but in reality, the room only had a small half-window, and the bathroom had no windows at all. When I brought this up to the front desk, they said only the top floor has floor-to-ceiling windows, and all other rooms are like the one we had. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Since we were only staying one night, we decided to just put up with it. Unexpectedly, at around 7 AM the next morning, someone repeatedly knocked on the door, and then actually used a key card to open it (there was no deadbolt inside). Although the person immediately apologized and left, it still scared us quite a bit. When we called the front desk, after checking, they said a cleaner had gotten the room number wrong. -_- What's even more frustrating is that outside the window was a construction site, and they started working around 8 AM. After being scared, we were then subjected to noise, making it impossible to sleep. The only upside is the location; it's not far from the National Botanic Garden and very close to Wynyard Station.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. The facilities are decent, not brand new but very clean. Before checking in, if you don't have a credit card, you'll need to pay a deposit, which is refunded upon check-out.

Quite surprised that they are doing the cleaning daily. But they forgot to do it on the last day of my stay. The location is great, very close to the town hall and everywhere. The metro is just opposite the hotel. And the best part I like is, it’s attached to a mall. Supermarkets are just at walkable distance.
