Best Hotels in Azzano

On the plus side, Hotel Bazzoni has a wonderful location, a very good view from the room balconies over Lake Como, and a terraced garden going up the hill with several swimming pools and bars. Included breakfast and a buffet supper which was good. The bar on the ground floor is also stunning. On the minus side, ***y things about the hotel are wanting. When we arrived, we were told it was fully booked and our reservation had been transferred to the sister (and much cheaper) hotel Britannia down the road. We were taken down to see it, but the room was dank and nasty, after a hard argument they agreed to reinstate us in Bazzoni. We were also chased on the final day to check out promptly - our Trip.com booking was for 11am check out but we got a call at 10.30 telling us this had been moved forward to 10am and we needed to check out promptly as they had ***y arrivals that day. The room also lacked water, coffee/tea-making facilities and slippers, and everything extra is chargable - including 5 EUR for an additional keycard (non-refundable...) and 2 EUR for a jug of water at supper. On balance, I would avoid this hotel in future - but if you chose it, come ready to argue for what you already paid for.

The location is excellent, the first row by the lake, the surrounding restaurants are full of wine, the fly in the ointment is that there is no refrigerator in the room. It is suitable for self-driving, but the blue paid parking space is not easy to find during the peak hours of the holiday. Not to mention the white free one. When you are 400 meters away from the hotel, you will pay attention and there will be a parking space. The hotel does not have a valet parking service. Please inform the license plate number when you check in, otherwise it will fall into the forbidden zone and the ticket will be severe.

Lovely setting on lake Como. Staff was friendly and enjoyed breakfast setting. Easy walk to the Lake and many other very good restraunts. Hotel is located at 4th ferry stop from town of Como. We stayed as part of a Viking Cruise extension Vacation.. As mentioned in a few other reviews that I had read prior to arrival, the sound insulation in room is not the best but gave 5 stars as many more positive aspects to focus on at hotel. A/C worked well! comfortable. Beautiful pool over looking the lake with water access to swim. Had a Spa but did not use these services.

This truly turned out to be an exceptional place. Literally right on the lake, location could not be better. Also near to some shops and restaurants in both directions along the lake road. The beautiful room was very spacious, and the bathroom was almost as big. We were fortunate to get a corner room with two balconies. Tip: Get a room with a balcony! The hotel is also on a rather busy road. The traffic did not bother us at all, but for light sleepers it might be noisy. We also tried the restaurant in the evening. The food and the service were both excellent, top notch. Breakfast was also very good, not a huge selection, but with high quality products. The staff was also very friendly. Would definitely come back!

It was truly fabulous stay!!! We've been deeply impressed: The best view on the Como lake and one of the best views ever!!! Service personnel – friendly and caring, with that personal touch that you won’t get in most of the big hotels. You couldn’t get the better value for the very decent at the Como lake price! my wife and I visited the hotel during winter. It was not crowded and we were the only ones who had dinner at the hotel restaurant that night. The food is good. what i want to stress the most is that the view from my lakeview room is stunning. i believe it has the best view out of all the hotels in Bellagio given its location and altitude. With the room, view and service we got, it is safe to say it has the greatest value for money out all my 9-day stay in Italy.

It is not often that you find one of those true gems of a hotel. This is one of them. This is the hotel that you will tell people to stay in if they visit the lake Como area. The hotel is right on the lake. You should definitely choose a lake facing room. The scenery is breath taking. The hotel is in a quiet village away from the hectic and chaos of other towns around the lake. Argegno has plenty of excellent places to eat. Argegno is a quant village to explore. There is a ferry stop about 50 metres from the hotel. It is on the bus route. There is parking at the hotel. The rooms are very clean. If you are a four or five star hotel person, don’t let the three stars put you off. I think the three stars are only because there isn’t someone at the front desk during the night, you are given a key to get back into the hotel if you will be out after 10:30pm. This is an ‘oh wow!’ hotel.

The hotel is located up in Brunate so a great way to enjoy the ride up is using the funicolare. Once up, you can enjoy the view of the town and lake which is just beautiful. Then, you can call the hotel and in five minutes they can come pick you up. We are originally from Mexico so in November it got very chilly for us but that didn’t stop us enjoy the town walking, eating great food, aperols and gelatos. We loved our stay at the hotel, all of the staff members were so nice. Comfy bed, the radiators worked well, very clean, and a fantastic view of the lake. It was more than what we expected. Definitely would stay again!
