Hotel near Obersendling,Munich
The GS Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The GS Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Munich for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel offers easy access to Mittersendling, just 900m away. In addition, Aidenbachstraße Metro Station is just a short walk away. Seeing Munich's sights from this hotel is easy with Hellabrunn Zoo, Campingplatz München Thalkirchen and Deutsches Museum all close by. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Munich hotel can make use of the parking facilities.

"Overall good service provided by front desk, generally clean and decent breakfast spread. Booked the single room but haven’t slept on a single bed in a while, so needed time to get used to- that’s on me. My main complaint is the illogical and not adult-friendly layout of the toilet. FYI- I’m a 1.7m average built Asian man. See the super narrow gap to squeeze through to get to the toilet bowl? One definitely needs to have physical contact with the sink or the shower wall to reach the toilet bowl, making it unhygienic and a terrible experience. Also, right leg has no space beside the toilet bowl and need to be “rubbing” against the shower wall, making the experience a terrible one in an otherwise pleasant stay."

WWoyougewomentuanThis hotel is super conveniently located right near the main train station, making it easy to get around. They offer free luggage storage, which is a big plus. The room was clean and well-equipped, with complimentary bottled water and even a capsule coffee machine. The lobby was a nice touch too, providing guests with lemon water, grapefruit water, candies, cookies, and green apples. Plus, there's a DM pharmacy and a supermarket right next door. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserWe received excellent service at this hotel during our check in provided by Aaryan. Aaryan helped guide us into the parking garage, was super friendly and got us a room in the main tower where there was an elevator to use (despite our booking in the less expensive annex room). He even offered to provide us suggestions for the sunny weather during our stay in Munich and made sure to say hello and check in on us each time we saw it. It was natural and friendly customer service. The hotel is a little older and has some interesting decor. The room had a futon couch, a good bed, desk area, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge (with some pop and water you could pay for), an iPod dock, a good sized TV, and plenty of counter space to put our things. They provided gummy bears and a couple of cookies in our room too which was nice. The bed was comfy for me and the hotel can provide more bedding or pillows on request. We felt the cleanliness could have been better as our tea cups were a bit dirty. The bathroom was interesting with two stools but really a place to put them. The shower was not our favourite with no door or shower curtain and the glass was not enough to keep the water in. There is an all in one shampoo/body wash that was ok. The towels were a little thin and could use replacement. The cost of the hotel was good and we felt it was a decent location. It is a bit far from the main attractions of Munich but it has good public transport access including the nearby central station which is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores by the hotel that are open quite late and there are some Bavarian/Oktoberfest souvenir stores nearby. I felt safe walking around alone at night to get a late night doner. The breakfast at the hotel is pretty good with a good variety of food including deli meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. There was lots of seating available including some artsy chairs. There is limited parking at this hotel and it is very tight so we are glad we rented a compact. If you choose to park here you have to go in to see reception so they can open the door and guide you to your spot. It may also be recommended to contact the hotel in advance to reserve a spot. The front desk initially said it was 20 euros for parking but charged us 22. There are other parkades nearby but due to the construction in the area we felt there was convenient having the car parked at the hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is nicely located near the main square thus it is a plus. On your way back to the hotel, you will be passing by nice international food selection: viet, Italian, Indian and even two Afghani restaurants. Amd if you miss lne of course, you got your kebab shop! The deal breaker for me, the welcoming deamor of the reception staff. A mixed bag, half were smiling and half is long faced. My advice if smiling and welcoming guests isnt for you, one must quit a customer facing job. And the lady that checked us in has refused to add my husband's holiday in loyalty number. Her reasoning, since you booked using a third party, one must not earn the point. Okay but actually another of her colleague is willing to add the details, just in case we spent something in the bar. Why is it points cant be earn... same concept like flights.. they aren't fussy abt you earning yoir miles. You are the same person at the end of the day. Amenities: breakfast is sumptuous and varied selection although similar everyday. However reception here are way friendlier and jolly. Their gym is properly equipped. I am also delighted with their housekeeping, they do their daily rounds and the lobby is freshen up to. Compared to a marriot hotel which uses a robot, we're lobby edges are so filty. So kudos to the housekeeping team! I am happy though that my husband doesnt have a company site in Germany, I will take checking in France/Poland/India and china any day. They are just way welcoming. The attitude just simply put me off, it shouldn't be a German thing as we ate in a German restaurant in the main square, they are nice over there.

Yyuk kei elstan fongThe hotel is right next to the Munich Central station. There is a supermarket store nearby within 1 min walking. The Neni Chicken restaurant provides delicious food at night, and the vibe is excellent. Overall, we are satisfied with the stay!

GGuest UserI stayed only for one night! I didn't stay long enough! The service was good! It was very comfortable! Clean and the breakfast was good😌. The attractions in Munich are relatively close! It's very close to the Charlie Post and nearby hotels! You can also go there for business trips. It's a few steps to the subway station, and it's also good to go to the University of Munich! You can eat the famous pork knuckles in a few steps!

DdomonnnThe location is near the subway, right at the last exit. If you're taking the train, it's a bit of a walk as it's on the other side, but still considered convenient. It's not scary for women walking alone at night, which is important. For the room, I booked a single room and it was very spacious and clean, with a wardrobe, table, and chair, plus a private bathroom. I think it was great value for money! There's an elevator, but it's quite small; one person with luggage fills it up. The front desk is 24 hours. Towels need to be rented, and there's a hairdryer. I liked it. The downside is that at night there's a very loud door-slamming sound. I'm not sure where it's coming from, it sounds like the wind blowing a door shut, and it happens many times a day. Other than that, everything was fine.

\\O_O/Given the comments I read from other travellers, the hotel actually has far exceeded my expectation. First of all, there is a U-bahn station right next to the hotel, which takes you only 2 minutes to the central station. The room is spacious, clean and air-conditioned, which is rather rare among other hotels in Germany. It also comes with a large window, which makes the entire room bright and cosy. The front-desk service is 24 hours. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

AAsh76OK - the good - The rooms are spacious, bed is large, the bathroom is lux with marble floors. it is also in a great location. It is close to the train station and has a Lidl behind it. The barman Jan is friendly and helpful. And the not so good - The rooms do not have a fridge, a microwave and not even a kettle! When I enquired about the tea and coffee facilities, I was curtly told if I wanted coffee I could buy it downstairs. It is difficult to understand how a hotel can justify a 4 star rating if it doesn't have anything more than a bed and a bathroom. And then there is the room temperature. It's a furnace in the room I think the temperature was set to 29 degrees C!! And the room temperature can't be changed in room. Only the reception can. Even if they change it, it resets the next day. I'm not sure why this hotel needs a sauna... Just stay in the room. As has been noted in another review on Tripadvisor, this issue is ongoing. He noted it in 2017 and again in 2019 but nothing has changed. Secondly is the staff attitude. They aren't rude but not friendly either. Likely they are worn down by the same issues getting raised while they are powerless to change it themselves. Unsurprisingly, I was not offered a late check out. The main advantage of location is lost by all the disadvantages. If that's why you want to stay here, don't let the photo's trick you, book another better hotel nearby.
