The Lodges at Cresthaven

Lake George
The Lodges at Cresthaven is a great place for families. The rooms (or lodges, cabins, etc) are well designed and keep with the living in the mountains feel. We stayed in a 2 BR lodge and the entire cabin was great. We felt like we rented a house near the lake. The master bedroom upstairs had a (relatively corny) heart shaped jacuzzi in its large bathroom. The second bedroom was really small and could only fit bunk beds and a dresser, but it was enough for my two kids. The kitchen had all the appliances and kitchenware you would need even though we never used it. We did use the laundry a few times since we had to bring our own towels. The balcony outside was a nice place to read or play board games with the kids during the rain and reserved parking for our car was right outside the lodge. You will like it if you know what you are paying for. This is basically like renting a house. There’s no housekeeping during the week and you have to bring beach towels if you want to go to the lake or the pool. You are responsible for keeping your place clean and taking out the garbage. Some major negatives were the fact that the use of water activities (paddle boards, kayaks) closed after 3:00 and the restaurant was closed half the week. However, despite the negatives, we enjoyed ourselves. The activities around the lake (lake activities, hiking, biking, etc) were fun. I do wish we skipped some of the restaurants in Lake George and prepared our own meals more since the kitchenette was nice and the restaurants weren’t that great.
