Decent stay, but several misses for a 5-star property

My stay at the Pullman Shanghai Central was a mixed bag—nice in some areas, but disappointing in others.

Check-in: The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our first day. However, I was surprised that they wouldn't let me check in until 3:00 PM. At most other hotels, I'm usually able to get an early check-in (even if I arrive at noon), so this felt a bit rigid for a property of this level.

The Room: The room itself was comfortable—the bed was soft and the shower pressure was actually perfect (not too strong, not too weak, just right). Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. To their credit, when I called the front desk, they immediately offered to change my room, which was very professional of them.

Breakfast: This was the biggest letdown. The breakfast buffet felt more like what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star Pullman. The quality and selection just weren't there for me.

Overall: It was an okay stay—nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional either. I wouldn't rate it a 10/10, more like a solid 6. Good service from the staff, but the check-in policy, smoke issue, and food really held it back.

A top choice for business travelers! The hotel is conveniently located, close to the metro station and commercial areas. The room is spacious and quiet, perfect for working and resting, with smooth internet access. The cleanliness is excellent, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and the service was attentive. The breakfast spread was rich and varied. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience and will prioritize staying here for future business trips.

The room was spacious and incredibly close to the South Station, making it very convenient and comfortable. The front desk staff provided excellent service, room service was prompt, and the restaurant served delicious food. The soundproofing was very effective, and I was quite satisfied with the non-smoking room.

Stayed here for a business trip. The location is great, very close to Liyuan and other attractions, and extremely convenient for transportation. The cleanliness is top-notch, it's spotless and very comfortable to stay in. The service is also excellent, and the soundproofing is really good. Highly recommended!

I had been eyeing this hotel for a long time, and on my last trip, I decided to stay for 2 nights. Oh, how I regretted only staying for 2 nights! It's simply a luxurious hotel with the most beautiful views, wonderful staff, and delicious breakfasts. At this hotel, you feel completely relaxed and at one with nature – 100% recommended for introverts. The only downside is the beach; unfortunately, it's not cleaned, but the sea itself is very beautiful.

When checking in, I asked for a room in a newer building, but was told that my room type was only available in Building D (I later found out it's available in three buildings). So I had to stay in that one. Then, I was woken up at night by a strange noise from the closet. I contacted staff and moved to a newer building the next day. The old building definitely had older facilities, while the new one was much better. The hotel's environment, common areas, and pool are all great, and there weren't many mosquitoes. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

We stayed at the Pullman Panwa Beach resort for a week for our honeymoon. The hotel kindly decorated our room for us and gave us some cake and a nice note congratulating us on our honeymoon, it was very thoughtful and we appreciated the gesture! The staff at this resort were incredible, they were all so kind and willing to help. We enjoyed the yoga classes at the gym in the mornings and laying by the beach and pool. It was awesome to have a private beach with beach chairs and a swing in the sea! We could also kayak and paddleboard right off the resort beach. There are multiple pools but we spent most of our time at the main pool which is very large and has an awesome view overlooking the sea! The breakfast was the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel, we miss it already! We had an ocean view room and the views were so worth it. It was so beautiful to wake up to this view every morning. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near the Eiffel Tower, making it super convenient to see the illuminations at night. Not far from the hotel, there's also a spot where 'Inception' was filmed, and the observation deck by the bridge offers fantastic photo opportunities of the Tower – we even saw a wedding photoshoot happening there. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but the amenities and service were good overall. Definitely recommend it.

This hotel is a brand new, five-star property under the Accor Group in France. It boasts a very smart, modern, and stylish design.

The location is incredibly convenient, with a metro station right outside the hotel entrance, making it easy to get to any attraction. Right next to the hotel is a huge, two-story supermarket, offering a wide selection of vegetables, fruits, food, cosmetics, and more.

The 32nd-floor Skybar is very popular and open until 2 AM. We heard it offers views of the Eiffel Tower, but we didn't have time to visit. I'd suggest avoiding rooms on very high floors to escape the bar's music.

The hotel's gym is fantastic! It's fully equipped and has a great atmosphere. Plus, there are many restaurants near the hotel, and the stand-up pizza and pasta places are incredibly delicious!

I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is quite close to the subway. Just a short walk to the left after exiting, there's a Carrefour supermarket, a cinema, and many restaurants.

The breakfast is quite refined, and every type of bread was delicious. The mini potatoes were especially good 😋 — highly recommended!

However, the rooms are very old. The hallway carpet had a musty smell, and the room did too. It's an old hotel.
