The room was decent sized and clean. Air conditioner cooled the room down fairly quickly. The TV eventually turned on but is in the process of dying: white things were yellow and white, other colors were fading into each other. The mattress collapsed if you set on the edge and my husband describes the lumpy mattress as ”trying to sleep on a bag of potatoes.” Water pressure was a low but that could have been the result of the current water issue with the City of Jackson's water problems. The breakfast consisted on a bag with juice box, danish, and yogurt which is what I would have grabbed if there had been a continental breakfast but there was no attempt to keep it cool. Bags were just sitting on the counter. The clerk was not rude but did not seem to be very interested in being helpful. The check in was very quick.

This is a hotel I visited during my business trip. Amenities were good Hometo Hotel seems to be just above average. I will visit next time.

I stayed on a Saturday night as a stopover on a cross country road trip. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! The staff were upbeat, polite, and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and very well designed. The walk-in shower with excellent water pressure was a welcome treat after a long day in the car. The only negative was the hotel was full of families staying for kids’ sports tournaments so there were endless hours of wound up kids running up and down hallways, etc., but that’s not the hotel’s fault. I drove back through Jackson a week later and stayed at a different hotel a block away and it was a miserable experience. I regret not staying at this Courtyard again!

We spent 1 night at this property on our way to the gulf. We picked a Holiday Inn Express because typically they are consistent and conveniently located by the interstate. We had no dreams of Four Seasons style accommodations – we just wanted a simple, clean room. Traveling during the corona virus pandemic, we were pleased to see that the front desk had plexiglass barriers and the staff were wearing masks. In our room there was a note referencing the pandemic and the additional cleaning activities that were being used. However, the conditions of the room did not reflect even basic cleanliness. The pull out desk-top was sticky and filthy. I cleaned it with hot water and a washcloth from the bath and then sprayed it down with disinfectant. The bathroom mirror was spotted with what looked like tooth paste spit. When I turned on the wall mounted bed side light sconce, I could see the mounting brackets had thick dust on them – they had not been dusted within the last week – probably longer. When I spoke of these issues with the desk clerk on check out – she did not even look up at me. When I was done, she looked up from the computer screen and said “I’m listening…” as if the issues I mentioned were insufficient to cause concern. My response was “Isn’t that enough?”. She reviewed our reservation and noted that we were reward program members and said, “I can give you 5,000 points”. At no time did she apologize for the condition of the room, indicate she would share the information with management or give any indication that she cared at all. When I mentioned that there was no coffee in the café at 8:30 am, she did react – so I guess they do have some standards. We will never choose this property again
