Best Hotels in Burnside

Room was well appointed and very clean. Comfortable bed and good TV - important for me as Roger Federer's last match as a professional tennis player was being live streamed on Sky Sport. The game went past 10 am and my request for a late check-out was warmly accepted. When the match carried on until after 11 am, everyone was so understanding. Great friendly staff make a motel special. Location is also great as close to airport but more like a residential street with a great cafe opposite than a commercial setting.

The front desk was changed to the hotel next door. What should I do if I don’t understand English? The receptionist was a one-year-old woman at the time of check-in. She was very cold while eating. She was asked to provide a free drop-off service in the early morning of the next day, saying that the flight was too early, and they would not drop-off until 8 o'clock. At our request, I helped to book a taxi at 6 o'clock the next morning. The taxi did not come. Fortunately, I could speak English. I contacted the taxi company in time and almost missed the flight. The hotel’s facilities are good, but such poor service is disappointing😔

We arrived on midnight flight and selected Gold Band taxi to motel as recommended by manager in order to receive 10% discount. Cost from airport to motel over $20 – not sure if or where discount was applied there. The room was a little disappointing, smaller than anticipated and large cobweb hanging from ceiling in kitchen, right in the middle of passageway. We were kept awake the rest of the night and next morning by a bright outside light shining in from the motels next door, but mostly due to excessive traffic noise. Trucks and cars obviously using Roydvale Ave as major thoroughfare from around 4am onwards. Manager was very good however and took us to airport the next day in the shuttle free of charge, so please don’t be put off staying there. Maybe just take earplugs and sleeping mask!

Arrived at one o'clock in the morning and a car came to pick him up. He was a good Chinese guy. It was three o'clock to settle down and sleep. The next day, foreigners in the store kept urging to check out before ten o'clock. They were too tired, not because they were close to the airport. It’s not good to choose, if you don’t check out after ten o’clock and five minutes later, you will charge more money!

Really love the hotel. Very suitable for traveller. There is kitchen for cooking with complete all the aminities. They also provide space to hang out with friends and family. Very near as in 15-20 minutes away from the hotel.

Elizabeth and her staff accommodated my son and myself on an unexpected extended = visit to this great country. Our stay was a wonderful experience provided with exceptional service from the top down. The Owner, Elizabeth, agreed to the quoted rate and is one dedicated Manager that understands the resource she is providing. Excellent location, the unit was billed as advertised, and again we were given exceptional service by all. The enhanced concierge service provided by Elizabeth gave us a unique and more in depth understanding of the culture and openness we experienced throughout our stay. I would rate this close to a 10 if the system would let me. I know the first place I will check for my next visit to Christchurch, NZ. Most Gratified Customer for Life. Gary

Convenient transportation, affordable, and service in place.

Late arrival (after midnight) so enquired as to a later check-out. Despite paying full-price for a room that we only used for less than 11hrs they couldn't (wouldn't?) offer us a late check-out without paying a required fee which passed on. Breakfast also expensive at $35 per person (inc. children) so we missed out this. Room clean with expected amenities although a bit nosey in the morning as we were on the ground floor and there were a group of people chatting loudly outside of the room. Bed nice and comfy though, shower water power disappointing. Customer service on check-in wasn't overly welcoming but the female staff member who we checked out with was informative.

The first time I stayed at Motel, I felt very good. The bathroom was simple and clean. The flowers in the small courtyard outside the bedroom window were comfortable, and the kitchen was practical and recommended.

This motel was great, friendly staff / owners, great location, very clean and tidy and very well priced. The lady that checked us in went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with everything, helped us with our bags and even bought us chocolates to our room. Great motel, we will be back and will definitely recommend to others. Thanks!
