Best Hotels in Greenwich

I’ll start with the pros. Extremely friendly front desk staff, parking on site( with a fee unless you are a hyatt member), clean room large room. Cons- nothing is more disappointing than hearing we are renovating at the time of check-in. It should be a requirement for the hotel to let guests know before booking that they are going thru renovations. Nothing was mentioned at the time I booked. They have no restaurant or store on site for snacks/food etc. You have to order room service. There is nothing really in walking distance and once you park, check-in to this massive hotel- the last thing you want to do is get back in your car. The room service was delivered with plastic cups/plastic plates. Another “Covid” excuse. Time for these establishments to get back on track with amenities and services. The excuse is getting old.

In general, it is attracted by the photos on the hotel page of Ctrip.com, and it is too great to exclaim the photographer after arriving at the hotel. Just a small roadside hotel, this price is not worth living.

We arrived and found our room wasn't the one we had booked. We went downstairs after going out for dinner and asked if we were in a Wellbeing Room. The receptionist said no, we had only booked deluxe. We were able to show her our booking.com booking which clearly stated Wellbeing Room. She said 'well you can move if you want' I said yes please, and specifically mentioned the mirror that was supposed to be in the room and how we were looking forward to it. We moved and the room had only one feature of the Wellbeing Room - an air filter. No ”the Mirror” or Wellbeing pack. There was also only one towel for 4 people. Upon questioning where the other things were we were told only Suites has mirrors and that the Wellbeing packs ”weren't ready yet” Why sell a product you can't deliver. Please amend your advertising material. The shelves in the room were broken, the drawers didn't close because the unit was so skewed. Even when we asked for more towels they gave us 2 for 4 people. The plug didn't work so we couldn't bath our children until they sent a new one the next day. The floor was filthy and we couldn't let the kids touch it, they had to play on the beds only. Some staff were brisk and cold but some were lovely. There is a club lounge on level 10 that is dirty with a fridge full of old food and drinks, maybe the staff use it? I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you get a good price and expect a 2 star hotel

The hotel looks old, but it is well maintained and belongs to the HILTON hotel. The room has no way to open the window, it is a bit wet. The hotel front desk Xiaohe is quite willing to chat. It was very convenient to book the airport where Red Dot’s car went.

Came to Sonesta to rest the night after having a terrible day and my day immediately became better off of two interactions with the staff. Danaya and a bartender who I saw from 6-7pm. I was on line ready to check in with a down look on my face since I wasn’t able to return home after working a double at the hospital. As I go up to check in I’m greeted with this amazing energy, positive attitude, vibe and aura that can immediately make you smile after just a couple of sentences. This person is Danaya. She made my day so much better after just a small conversation. I did come back down later to drop my girlfriend off to her car and again me and her both were greeted with the same energy that I had received a couple of hours earlier. I do believe that every job and every place deserves someone like Danaya! The amount of joy I received after checking in truly made my night so much better and I wish her all the best! I wish I had asked for the bartender’s name who made me a Caribbean rum punch! I sat down after speaking with Danaya who told me about happy hour, and ask the bartender for his favorite drink since I had just turned 21 a week/ 2 weeks ago. He immediately went to work on the first drink I’ve had out of the many I’ve had in this short time that I enjoyed. I’m not big on Alcohol since I’m just now exploring it but the one he had made for me was amazing. With his cheerful attitude and quickness of the drink I was definitely grateful for him being there! Wish him all the best also! The room was amazing and something not many people realize is how important it is to have such good water while showering. I feel like it’s always overlooked but my shower was fantastic here. The king sized bed I had was like sleeping and a cloud and the channels they had were great to watch. Tv was amazing and everything was clean. The window has an amazing view! This hotel is amazing. From the rooms, to the guest and to the staff that do their best to provide nothing but the best service you can receive. Any hotel can offer a bed to sleep on and a happy hour but none do it better than Sonesta! Thank you to all who work there and I wish you the best in life. And another personal thanks to Danaya, the bartender who served me, and to whoever cleaned my room before and after my stay! I wish nothing but great things for you guys! So I'll start with the positives - spent 3 days 2 nights here. check in was great! we were early and we were accommodated immediately. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, Dinner and the bar were great as well. Room was mostly clean. Staff was super friendly. Right across from the mall which was great! Now the cons - this hotel is old!!!! ceiling tiles in the room were falling apart, the hair dryer was sticky and dirty. the common areas of the hotel looked run down and not as clean as the rooms. However, everyone was lovely, I would stay here again, the bed was comfy.

Glenia and Genesis helped us coordinate the room block for my wedding group reservations. They were very attentive and knew what they were doing! They provided updated room block PDFs regularly and even took notes on the shuttle service we hired to the bring guests back and forth to the venue. They also helped us coordinate events at the NoMa Social on the 1st floor such as rehearsal dinner and send off breakfast. They also have the option to store your gifts for your guests to give out when they check in. This really is a great hotel for your wedding guests needs! The outdoor seating area is perfect in the summertime! And our guests seemed to enjoy the pool (I personally did not go there). BUT MY BIGGEST RECOMMENDATION is when you book your room, REQUEST A HIGH LEVEL FLOOR! My husband (the groom) ended up on the 2nd floor right above the NoMa and it was beyond loud most of the night!!! Honestly, they shouldn’t even have rooms directly above the NoMa and use those rooms for a different purpose such as storage or a bridal suite. He got this room because he showed up a few days early before we had the suite booked. The suite itself is 2 conjoining rooms and nothing special but does the trick with plenty of space. The hotel itself is very nice, and beautifully updated. Although the exterior is very old and outdated (as most Radissons are), they did a nice job remodeling the inside. Don’t expect something super over the top fancy though, it’s literally enough to suit the purpose. If you’re looking for something high class, go to a hotel in White Plains.

I'm sure that if you need a bed to sleep in, this place is fine. Do not have a situation or circumstance that requires manager assistance, forget it! I'm a travel nurse working for a nearby hospital. The night before my scheduled reservation, I tested positive for covid. I immediately contacted the hotel to let them know, and was old to forward my results to the managers email address, and they would refund my stay. I sent the results the next day and called to follow up a few days later. I was told the manager was out and to call in 2 days after 3pm. This happened several times for a few weeks before I actually received correspondence from the manager stating that I would need to contact Priceline to get the refund authorized. I immediately called them and they went through the same process with contacting the manager as I did. Eventually, she declined to give he refund. I hen escalated to the Better Business Bureau, and she chose not to respond to that either. I even attempted to reach back out via email thinking she may empathize with my situation and again, she chose not to respond at all. I'm disgusted at this behavior and will not choose them again.
