The Watson Premium HaLong Hotel

Bai Chay Ha Long|0.16km from Chó
Not a 5 star hotel more like a 4. Food and attention to detail just not there. Pros - gorgeous hotel very modern and new got free upgrade to a larger room with a great view of halong bay however was a bit misleading as you can hear all the music very loudly in our room as it was two floors down from the pool bar so think they just needed to fill it haha. Gorgeous view from the rooftop pool too. Staff were nice and helpful despite the large language barrier thank god for google translate beds very comfy and room clean. Also our room had a bath and separate shower which was great as most hotels don’t Cons - food was shocking we ordered a few different things as there’s not much in the area and we were knackered most evenings after long days exploring honestly don’t know why we kept ordering haha it’s our own fault but everything was bland and tasteless and SO expensive like £6 for some unseasoned chips £7 for a frozen burger £8 for some fried rice with 0 taste. So disappointing every time we got something the cocktails are expensive too and very basic not horrible but just basic something you’d expect in a 3 star all inclusive resort. Then just little things that make it a 4 not a 5 like the food tray being left outside our room for hours on end, there being loads of sticky fingers prints on touch points like the elevator buttons / toilet doors. Didn’t ruin our stay at all we had a lovely time at the hotel just wish we’d eaten elsewhere Also would suggest to stay on the other side of the bridge if you’re coming to halong bay as this side is super dead and quiet not a lot of shops or anything to do.

I have stayed at a hotel to experience 4-star service but I don't think it is suitable for 4-star word. The hotel corridor does not turn on the air conditioner is very hot and mysterious, the baby elevator is hot and mysterious. I hope that at a 4-star hotel for buffet, there will be more choices but I feel very sad when the food is less choice, cold and not good.

There are many breakfast styles to choose from, and the neighborhood is also lively. It is convenient to go out and has a high cost performance. The bed is very soft and comfortable. If you travel again, you will consider staying again.

Luxury hotel from the lobby. The fresh flowers in the lobby are very impressive. Reception staff graciously and warmly welcome. Luxury high-class rooms, especially excellent sea view from the top of the peak, professional service. 10 points for quality. If I come back to Ha Long, I will definitely choose Marina as my favorite place to stay.

The room is clean and the service staff is kind. The only downside is that the air conditioner in the room is out of order. It’s so hot that it’s hard to fall asleep at night, because it’s already midnight. Please ask the counter for help. I will check before checking in next time to avoid the same embarrassment. The distance from the hotel The night market for shopping and eating is still more than 2Km away, which is acceptable, and I will choose to stay next time I have a chance.

On our tour through Vietnam we stayed in this hotel. It is central, nearby are several restaurants and cafes. The rooms are clean and maintained and the staff were also quite friendly. Due to the Corona pandemic, few guests were present, so breakfast had to be ordered on the day before. The continental version, consisting of roasting, spice, small sausages, salad, bread and fresh fruit was sufficient and delicious. We had a pleasant stay in any case.
