"Aside from the location, which is a bit further from the city center, the hotel is really great. It's outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone) and further from the center. "We had a fabulous stay in Florence and the hotel’s location near the train station was fantastic both for when we arrived and departed (by train) but also for the three different tours we went on. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel like family, the breakfast was substantial with plenty of options, and the tiny lollies at the front desk were a sweet bonus. Would definitely recommend!"

"We arrived an hour earlier than check in because we arrived at 14:00. They will write us an email in advance to contact us about our check-in time After waiting less than 5 minutes, a friend helped open the door. We put our stuff down and we went to Pisa. We also provided us with an extra quilt at night. Although the heating in the house is average, it may be that the other party does not understand English. I didn't make it clear. In short, very safe. 10 minutes walk from Florence train station. Too convenient 18min walking distance to Notre Dame's Basilica at night Especially comfortable walking distance"

"The hotel is a five-minute walk from the train station. The surrounding streets were quite diverse, with a noticeable presence of Black people. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby, offering a wide range of dining options. Cleanliness: As an older hotel, the facilities were a bit dated. However, the room was reasonably clean, though quite small and a bit cramped for two people. A big plus was the very strong air conditioning. Service: The service was acceptable. The gentleman at the front desk was quite handsome, and the older gentleman was also very European and gentlemanly, which was pleasant to see. Breakfast: The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, though the croissants were just average. A waiter proactively offered coffee and tea. The restaurant had consecutively been awarded Michelin stars before 2018, with a label proudly displayed at the hotel entrance. Local Amenities: If you exit the hotel, turn right, then turn left after about 20 meters, you'll find a local, affordable supermarket selling bread, fruit, vegetables, and milk, which is very convenient."

"The hotel is located right on the edge of the Old Town, making it super convenient and close for walking there (about 10-15 minutes on foot to get into the Old Town). I think the location is really good. The room wasn't huge, probably around 10 square meters, but it was cleaned very well. There was a kettle, and the air conditioning worked fine. It wasn't noisy at night, so I slept well. The hotel breakfast was decent. They had various breads, different spreads, cheeses, and sweet pastries, plus fresh juice. If I come back to the area, I might choose to stay here again."

"The room was huge! It had two bedrooms, a living room, a double bed, a single bed, and a sofa bed. The staff really paid attention to what guests said, even if you weren't specifically asking them to solve a problem; they'd try their best to meet your needs for anything you casually asked about. Plus, they were incredibly patient and enthusiastic. When I asked for directions, they even drew a route map for me, just in case I couldn't find my way! 🤣 It's also super convenient for getting around to tourist spots."

Walking into the lobby, you can immediately feel the clean and refreshing air. The greenery is exquisitely arranged, making you feel relaxed and at ease the moment you arrive. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the views outside the window are beautiful. It's exceptionally quiet both day and night, ensuring a perfect night's rest.

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to the train station, just a short walk away. Super convenient! The 24-hour front desk made me feel very secure. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate and well-equipped. It was very clean and promptly serviced. The front desk staff enthusiastically explained all the details: breakfast, key card, routes to major attractions, etc. I really appreciate it! The breakfast was fantastic! The lovely ladies on the breakfast team greeted everyone warmly, made coffee, and worked diligently and efficiently. Thumbs up! On the last day, I left my luggage at the hotel and picked it up in the afternoon before catching my train. When I picked up my bags, the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even told me there was a restroom downstairs I could use. It's true that finding restrooms outside can be difficult! Ousman, the friendly guy, suggested I write down my feelings and share them with others, just writing whatever came to mind. I think he's right; others might need honest information. I spent some time choosing a hotel before I came, and it seems I made the right choice. Thanks again, I really enjoyed this trip! 😀😀

Kudos also to the receptionists, who are professional and very friendly. It's my go-to place whenever I visit Florence, I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserIt's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. If you leave the room and go up one level, there is a shared terrace with a view of the roofs of the ancient city. If the check-in goes smoothly, it's a great place to stay.

Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down. Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

GGuest UserI stayed with my aunt and my friend for 2 nights recently; we had 3 beds in the same room, 1 single and 1 double. The hotel had basic amenities - private bathroom which was a little small for me and a TV in the room. We didn't notice a kettle in the room but to be honest, we weren't really bothered since we had paid for the hotel breakfast. The breakfast had small selection of hot food: eggs and sausages were really good. The coffee machine wasn't working properly but the staff did everything they could to provide espressos for the guests. Speaking of the staff, they were so kind and amazing, The 1st staff we saw was kind enough to mark the local/popular attractions on the map and give us some guidance on what to do and where to go. They also gave us this incentive where we all got free breakfasts for the 2nd day after signing up to the hotel account (or something like that). The only major con about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator and it was noisy all morning and late at night so please if you can, ask for a faraway room!
