Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa

We had a great time, the facilities and service are excellent. We were disappointed with the food, both the breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only food that was tasty and appropriate for the hotel level was the food that was paid extra in the restaurant on the beach/pool. There is no free drink, the water is sold at a price 13 times higher than in nearby supermarkets. Even if you arrive very early all the beds in the pools are taken/kept, people keep them even while they go for a few hours to eat/sleep, but the hotel employees, unfortunately, do nothing about it.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week long stay (29/4- 6/5/2024) at Akasha Beach Hotel and Spa and there aren't enough words to sum up our stay. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Salis the bellhop was friendly and helpful in explaining the way things worked and where to go and due to our late arrival there was sandwiches left in the fridge for us as well as a complimentary bottle of Tsikoudia which was delightful. Going all inclusive was 100% worth the money. The food in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner was exceptional, the selection of salads, fruit, breads, cold meats etc was second to none and we only had 2 meals outside of the hotel as it was so good! Our room (1107) was the "basic" urban chic but even that was incredible and we had a lovely view of the fountains below on the main walkway from the reception past the restaurant and bar to the pool area and it was kept immaculately everyday by the housekeeping staff who have out deepest thanks. Every day when we went in for a meal were greeted with friendly smiles and good morning/afternoon/evening and within 2 minutes of sitting down we were asked what we would like to drink, which were then brought swiftly and followed with "enjoy your meal." Most meal times we always had the same 2 waitresses, a blonde girl who we never actually caught the name of which is our fault and another called Maria who looked after us like family. The Maitre D who again, we never caught the name of, was also very friendly and welcoming every meal time and was great with other guests children. We would like to make a special mention of the two bar staff by the pool. During the day, Rafaela was always on hand, checking in to see if you needed or wanted anything to drink or eat. Within 5 minutes of us arriving at the pool on the first day she had came over to see us and from then on looked after us so well. During the evening, we sat by the pool bar after dinner and Elina again looked after us so well keeping an eye and anytime we got even close to finishing our drink she was over to ask if we wanted anything else but by the end of the week she didn't even need to ask, Rum &Coke and a Pina Colada (both of which were delightful) and we never had to wait for one. We got near the end of one round and another was brought over. We cannot thank Rafaela and Elina enough. The pool areas were all immaculate and lovely to be around. Water was very clean and refreshing and all round there is not much else to say! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave as we cannot fault the hotel or staff in anyway. Booked for a week all inclusive mid October. Had read previous reviews and sun bed availability issues and repetitive food but can honestly say, didn’t experience either! Upon arrival, we were greeted in reception with a refreshing beverage and asked to take a seat on the sofas to begin check-in. An App is then uploaded to your smartphone which acts as your key to your room (or you can request a std keycard if you prefer) We were then shown to our room, where enroute given a tour of the hotel & facilities. Room was immaculate! Cleaned daily and minibar re-stocked with beer, Prosecco & soft drinks. There’s a choice of 3 outdoor pools, one indoor and the beach. We chose to use the rooftop pool most days and never had an issue in getting any. You’re supplied with towels for use on the beach and pools, which are replaced daily. Staff are super friendly! Special mention has to go to Ioanna, Nada and Dimitris! Always chatty and by day two knew what drinks we liked! Food selection and quality were amazing! As we were all inclusive we did have the option to have one meal in the A La Carte restaurant but didn’t feel the need to as there was always a great selection at the buffet restaurant. We were so impressed by the staff & hotel, we’ve already re-booked for next year!

We stayed at Akasha for a week at the end of May 2024 & it’s comfortably our favourite hotel and resort we’ve stayed at to date. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are big and cleaned regularly (towels every 2 days inc. beach towels) and have amazing sea views. Location is good, walk out the back of the hotel onto the seafront and there’s plenty to do left and right (more so left heading towards the port). Food is really good, plenty of choices at breakfast, lunch (which is in the L’olivio restaurant) & dinner. Menu is full of various things to drink, soft drinks are all branded (Coca Cola etc) and not cheap from the pump, plenty of cocktails on there as well as non-alcoholic options. We never struggled for a Sunbed despite seeing this being an issue on some other reviews. There’s a rooftop, the main pool, a beach pool + the beach so as long as you’re around early morning you’d get a bed at one of them - most often whatever you prefer. Staff are helpful & super professional. The whole place was ran well & we would definitely return to this hotel were we to come back to Hersonissos in the future.

A wonderful hotel. Location, lounges by the pool, sea and beach, service, food and of course SPA- 10+! SPA therapist Elena's hands work wonders❤️. I definitely recommend visiting the spa. Throughout the territory, soft mattresses for relaxation, excellent, non-intrusive music, attentive service and good mood vibes throughout the day. Large selection of cocktails and drinks, cultured audience (no tourists from Russia)

Beautiful clean hotel can’t fault it there. Just was disappointed at having to pay tax on our room when we arrived as wasn’t told this when booked our holiday. Buffet was excellent and great choices of food every night. Also I was impressed with massage I had by Elana, who actually help my pain in my shoulders that I was suffering with. The only thing I will complain about is this is 5 star hotel and was surprised at the amount of young couple from the age of about 18 to 25 staying her and taking all the pool beds, so you could never get on one. And the amount of self centred society we have created with the selfes they all day kept taking of them self and not really communicating with anybody else. I was very disappointed that when I asked for a coffee I was declined and told it’s after 8.00pm and could not have one because they shut down the machine. This was annoying as not all us wanna drink alcohol every night all night. Loved the hotel but will next time find one with more 40+ next time not a teenagers playground.
