We just returned from a wonderful 6-night stay at The Ritz Carlton-NoMad. The hotel is a great addition to Nomad. It is centrally located near Madison Square Park, Union Square and the R line subway entrance is steps away from the entrance. The Executive Lounge is amazing! The food from Jose Andres Group was delicious with many options during their all-day service. The view from the windows cannot be beat. Every member of the Executive Lounge staff went above and beyond to make our stay easy and luxurious starting with David, the Executive Club Manager and the wonderful staff, Juan, Juan Carlos, Yolanda, Wendy, Brenda, Brendan & Shane. They made our stay very special. We booked the Manhattan Club Level Room on the 37th floor. It was spacious and modern, and the Ritz Carlton bed was very comfortable, as usual. The unobstructed view from our room was stunning with an enormous picture window overlooking the city towards Downtown. We have already made reservations for a return stay in December.

Set Loft Suit for three nights, very amazing! The location is excellent (the first shake shack in the park downstairs), and good restaurants nearby can walk. The room type is square and the electrical facilities are complete. The lobby checkin is waiting for drinks, and the elevator diversion is very user-friendly (because I don't like sharing elevators with strangers). The bedding and bathrobe texture are so comfortable! On the 25th floor, you can see the Empire State Building directly on one side of the window on both sides, and the sunset view of the skyline on the other side. room service is also great, the only downside is that the phone answering is slower (basically it takes three times to answer). We checked out at 5 am and the waiters were enthusiastic to help us take our luggage to the car. Very comfortable experience, the overall feeling is much better than the Times Square tour in all aspects, has booked a room for the next few days, still live here.

”Hip” and ”boutique” has become a metaphor for dirty and unclean. The ”hotel room” was bare bones, dirty, with previous guests used personal toys left behind end tables. The small kitchen was barely usable - no under cabinet lighting, no dishwasher, small fridge, coffee maker dirty and unclean, same for the broken toaster, no dishwashing soap for even the small amount of utensils and glassware. No effort was made to clean underneath the bed; the bed itself sagged. The room view is into tenement like housing (if I wanted a West Side Story experience, I would go to the theater rather than pay for this cheap ...calling it a hotel is a stretch). The balcony is a joke (at worse a hazard (make sure the balcony door is locked.) The corner space between the top mattress and boxspring was dirty, crumbs, dust, etc - clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned since the Roosevelt administration. Wi-Fi is subpar. Another effort by a non-corporate hospitality company (or whoever owns this dump) to milk tourists who come to New York by renovating whatever this building used to be into a sub standard ”hotel” rooms and skating by on ”location.”

Great location in Midtown, just blocks from the Empire State Building, Macy's, and several dining and breakfast options. Easy walk to subway and even Times Square (20 minutes). Rooms are small, but clean and very comfortable. (We were impressed by how much storage space was available in the room.) Amenities are not fancy (small restaurant with limited options, small gym), but it's an excellent starting point for exploring the city. There was some noise bleed from neighboring rooms, but none from outside.

Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

Must talk about it. Hotel location, service and hygiene, not to mention, anyway, generally pass. The breakfast was really good, things were basically the same every day, and I was tired for six days. By the way, breakfast is free to eat, no matter your room rate includes breakfast, just go down to the first floor to eat, no one cares, no breakfast coupons. What I want to say this time is that the hotel's checkout will not be refunded if you charge more! It was a very irresponsible and unreasonable hotel. Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. The remaining part was charged without my knowledge after leaving. What is the difference between stealing and stealing? And they are all received by mistake, and some fees are repeatedly collected. Later, with the help and coordination of Ctrip, the hotel promised to refund some of the fees that were repeatedly charged, and the overcharge of the front desk staff caused by their own mistakes was 125 dollars, and it was not refundable! Landed in JFK pretty late but check in around midnight was smooth. There was no doorman at the entrance so I had to carry a huge luggage up the stairs to the hotel lobby to check in. The hotel room was tiny and had barely the space to keep my luggage but the room itself was clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. Checking out was equally smooth and quick as checking in. Overall it was a pretty good short stay for a pretty jet lagged traveler.

Excellent staff, very helpful the entire stay (reception, facilities service, house keeping, with a special shout-out to Khaoula). Perfect location, in a great neighborhood, with easy subway excess and great food options all around. Great rooms, we had the quietest stay with best sleep here in NY (compared to 5 other hotels during our trip). After checkout, the staff continued to be just perfect hosts, storing luggage until the end of the day and allowing us to freshen up, have a coffee and wait for our taxi (arranged by hotel). Superb, there is Manhattan's best coffee shop downstairs. The hotel lobby is full of people from morning to night, very popular hotel. The clerk is very fashionable. The room is not recommended to choose mini, slightly smaller. Small above is very ok. Toiletries are also very good. There is also a favorite le labo next door. The hotel didn’t provide even short expectations. Based on the central Madisson Av street, you hardly can find it at a glance, since there is a bright pink board and a sticker on a window with the Physic consultation for 10 dollars. There is no lobby, just reception at a bad condition, 2 chairs and 2 elevators, one of them is always out of service. It was not announced on site, they charge 5 dollars for 1 piece of baggage storage. I had to change 4 rooms during 5 days, since the basic facilities were out of order, especially connected to bathroom and air conditioning. They all far from advertised standard, with outdated furnishings and cleanliness issues that made us a question the overall maintenance. At 503 the shower tray is clogged and doesn’t flush, so you can’t take a shower, since the water quickly overflows. At 603 the sink was clogged with debris and the dirt floated from the pipe and the water did not flush. At 905 the air conditioning was not working, it was cold, the plug didn’t come into the socket, they were of different types, also the wires were pulled out of the TV, the set-top box did not work. The problem is that these all problems they do not fix, just move the guests to new rooms that have almost the same problems. The rooms are small, old, nothing is done ti renovate them, the windows are black from dirty. Guys at reception change several days a day, the only one was permanent in the morning - Lily. She feels really sorry about the discomfort the guests have during their stay. The other staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful and even rude, especially Wilson. Upon arrival our check in process was disorganised and time - consuming. His unprofessional talk and behaviour and lack of training. He refused to accept hotel deposit 150 USD in cash and said or we pay with credit card or can move to a different hotel even we have 100% prepaid the stay. The problem that Russian cards go not work in foreign countries and we can pay only in cash, he didn’t accept and told the he doesn’t want to be rude but we should pay only with card or no other alternatives. I have asked my friend who lives in USA, to provide the details of his credit card to pay deposit. Since that was not my personal card, Wilson has frozen 75 US dollars instead of 150. The next step that was very nervous for me is that Wilson told he can’t see my payment. So he cannot settle us in the room. I showed him the evidence, my booking with amount debited and the card authorisation but he told he cannot see it in the local system, advised me to connect with my local travel agency. After 10 hours flight, early in the morning I had to contact with my agency to confirm! Thanks God, the agency has confirmed the card was debited and the hotel was fully paid, but in the site the hotel email was provided wrongly. Wilson gave us a new email, which turned out to be incorrect again , so he could not receive confirmation. I learned this only the next day from a different manager
