Hotels near Lao Lane Xang in Paris

Stopped for 1 night, chose as the nearest hotel to the airport to catch the flight in the morning. Depressed grey design, dirty carpets at the entrance, staff not wearing badge. The respiratory rooms were confused, our friends gave the key to the busy room, well that the guests we woke up (we settled at 1 hour of the night) closed the door to the chain. Our room was e-chaiter, stove, refrigerator. The designer was probably with a good sense of humor because between the sandwich and the head of the bed instead of the wall a big transparent window! It can be closed with a curtain, but! The curtain is located on the side of the room, that is, only the person in the room decides to close them or open))) is not much if you sleep a little bit, when the light is on in the toilet, the feeling that the light is on in the room above your head. The interior is scratched, scratched on the floor, table, windows go out to the parking and they are very dirty. No soap and shower hat, e. the soots are uncomfortable and they are few, part is located in the floor itself, there is over the e. the stove, but there is no bed. Breakfast is scarce, cruissant, toasts, jam, cheese, sausage, surprised plastic devices! In general, the hotel creates the impression of uncomfortable and unpleasant, one night can be stayed, but there is no desire to return here.

We stayed at GW for two nights. Montparnasse station and Danfer Rochelow station are about 13 minutes walk. Since the airport bus departing and arriving at Montparnasse station is gone, it is very convenient to be able to go to the airport without changing by RER from Danfer Rochelow station. The subway is about 8 minutes from Gete Station. Since it is a hotel on a big street, the surroundings are bright and you are not afraid to walk at night. Moreover, it is quiet at night. It is convenient because the monoprix grocery store near Montparnasse station is open until 23:40. One of the male staff at the front desk was surprised that he was good at Japanese. In addition, he was very kind. Breakfast is served with baguettes and petit size croissants, pan o chocolate, pan orezan in a basket. The baguette was delicious. Drinks can be served in a pot with coffee, tea or chocolate. Orange juice is also available. Then there are a few kinds of shelves of Financier, yogurt, jam and cheese. I thought I would go out to eat if breakfast was too much, but it was enough. Due to the depreciation of the yen, the hotel in Paris for the first time in 4 years was very expensive, and I was worried about where to stay, but I chose this place and it was the correct answer. There is a classic elevator and the rooms are large enough. There is no refrigerator in the room, but it was a very good hotel considering the price.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. The room is small, but I choose this hotel was due to the location. Notice breakfast choice is limited, but I didn't try as I choose room type without breakfast. Easy access to metro station.

We booked this hotel in advance as part of our journey home from holiday for a few days to show the kids Paris. Admittedly i thought I booked closer to the centre of Paris. Booked a family room. Arrived..area wasn’t my vision of Paris and the room i booked was no longer avail due to renovations…we only found out upon arrival. However the staff were amazing at ensuring our stay went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to rectify the issue. At no stage was anything a problem. Some of the best customer service I’ve encountered and the staff are a real credit to the Hotel. Area outside was probably more the ‘real’ Paris rather than the romantic version .You wouldn’t walk alone in the dark! . However location after got my head around everything was actually great. Felt safer here than i did around some of the tourist spots! Metro is literally yards across the road and you were in the heart of Paris in no time. We used the underground as its the best and cheapest way to get around the city. Highly recommend and we zipped around the city and got to see alot in 48 hours. Don’t be put off by other people’s reviews. No city hotel is perfect but the team here take pride in thier jobs. Accommodation is clean, modern. Car park is mega handy…albeit a tight and small underground one.

I had a really good stay here. The other travellers were really friendly. I felt very safe. We hardly bumped into each other in our rooms due to everybody waking and sleeping at different times, but they were respectful in the morning and nights. The rooms were big and the beds were huge! The shared bathrooms were really clean and modern and the showers were really hot (or cold). It was mostly all students staying here or young people, however I did come across a few older people staying, one in my room. Lots of languages are spoken here. Lots of french mainly. I am English. There was also a Spanish speaking guy in my room, and a guy from Thailand. I stayed for three nights. The first time in a 6 bed female dorm and the last two in an 8 bed mixed room. Everybody is super friendly. The staff are friendly, there's lots of them. And there is big spaces with tables to study or eat and chat with each other.

I didn't have much hope for an airport hotel at this price, but it turned out to be okay. At least it's much quieter than the city center. There is a bathroom in the single room, although it is small, and there is heating and TV, which is needed if you want to go to the airport. Take the bus according to the map. There are buses that go directly to the airport. No matter you are in T1 or T2, just get off at the terminal. Because there is a tram in the airport that changes terminals, you don’t have to worry about which terminal you are going to.

Great little hotel, convenient for Gare du Nord and other metro stations. Room was spotlessly clean, really spacious for the 4 of us, with the kids beds behind a partition. Reception staff were very helpful. A special mention to the ladies looking after breakfast who were very helpful with my questions about allergies and the food, they showed me the packet of the thing I asked about so I could check for myself. That was really important for me and they were kind and patient about it. Thank you.

I don't expect luxury from a hostel, but I do expect cleanliness. On the surface the hostel appears clean. Most importantly, the bed sheets and mattress are clean. However, look beyond that and you'll see it's filthy and obviously never given a deep clean. Down the side of the lower bunk there is what must be months and months of rotten food, old socks, dirt and dust that has been allowed to collect. No wonder the room smells so musty and stuffy. My bunk had blood streaks from a squashed bug (and live mosquitoes flying about), as well as sticky finger prints all over the bed panels and window. Furthermore, the noise level is crazy. I understand on a Friday people want to party so the bar was blasting out music and the 1st floor rooms are not sound proof - I actually didn't mind that. What annoyed me was the fact that they were blasting music through the speakers in the 1st floor toilet/shower rooms. WHY?! This made the room and hallways even noisier. Its only saving grace is the location (and free wi-fi). It can feel a bit dodgy walking through there alone as a single woman at night, but so can any big city... The hostel is close to some great bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions (Père Lachaise Cemetery, for example). I'd recommend hiring a bike to get around - there's quite a few Vélib' bike stations a short walk away.

I stayed here for work in September 2020. I enjoyed my stay for several reasons. Firstly the hotel is easy to find on the main road into the hotel zone. Secondly, the rooms are large and I had a suite which gave me a kitchenette, living area and separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet plus a terrasse with opening doors. The gym was excellent and the spa looked really nice - I didn't have time to try the pool but the whole area was very clean and well-looked after. The decor in the room was quite sober, the paintwork is a little tired in the room but overall it gave a good impression. The bed was comfortable and I particularly liked the shower gel and other products provided, as well as the intelligent TV to which I could wirelessly connect both my laptop and my Windows Phone (yes, really). The only issue was the wind noise coming through the glass doors to the terrasse. Try as I might I could not get it to stop completely, perhaps the curved shape of the building and the metal frame of the terrasse was to blame. But it is a minor point! Staff were absolutely fabulous, and went well beyond even my high expectations.
