"I highly recommend Motley, a low-key and luxurious hotel in Richmond. It looks inconspicuous from the outside, but it is very exquisite inside. The design and supplies of the guest rooms are very tasteful, clean and hygienic! Just walk for more than a kilometer to Fitzroy Garden, and it is also very convenient to go to the City. You can take the tram at the door. It is not noisy in the City and the environment is very quiet but convenient. You can reach the City business district on foot or by tram. The coffee shop downstairs is very good. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic and took the initiative to send me another bag of candy the next day. The room was already there when I checked in. The service details are very warm and the hotel with a strong sense of design is highly recommended."

"I was surprised this property was rated as high as it was. It was fine, if a little basic. The room was very noisy from both inside and outside the property. Close to public transport but you need it to get anywhere as it is quite far from the main sites."

"The place was cheap and did the job for only going there to sleep. Got what we paid for. It’s fine.
The room description said queen size bed but it was definitely a double.
There was mould in the bathroom and no soaps for us to use, only two packets of shampoo.
The aircon was not the best but did the job.
Lots of places throughout the hotel that need a touch up, it’s very old and has had barley any work done.
The entire place has an odd smell of dust and other stuff and I couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time.
Everything was cheap, TV was cheap, towels were cheap, pillow covers were cheap.
But, the staff were lovely and helpful.
The location is very good.
The hotel is beautiful on the outside.
The bed was very comfy."
