Highly recommend this hotel. The featured room is beautiful and facilities all clean and sufficient the courtyard building is also stunning. The owner and staff are very nice and help with all questions you have. They even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. Location is close to the north gate of the city wall and around 10-15 walk to the busy tourist erea.

The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center. The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed. The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

A gorgeous accomodation which looks like a museum itself. The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. They respond to inquiries within minutes and guided us well through Pingyao. As cars aren't allowed to pass the gate to the ancient town, it was very convenient that they offered us a transport from the North gate to the accomodation for no extra charge! Our room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and there is an extremely nice outside area where one can try out the different vinegars and spirits produced by the hosts.

A family of three went to visit the ancient city. This B&B was newly renovated last year. The room environment and facilities are very new. The inn provides free pick-up and drop-off services. They contacted us in advance and sent us the parking lot location. We were picked up from the parking lot into the ancient city. It was very convenient. When we left the next day, we were sent to the parking lot. The young boss explained to us how to visit the ancient city conveniently. Tickets for Pingyao can also be purchased at a discount. In short, the service was very good. The special thing was that free disposable towels and bath towels were provided. I was very satisfied. an experience.

The environment is very good, the room is clean and tidy, and the small yard is simple and comfortable. The vinegar they sell is much cheaper than other stores. The vinegar from Shanxi is indeed well-deserved and tastes very fragrant. I gave it away and the boss also gave me free shipping. Thank you for your hospitality!

The environment is good. The outside of the room is also very beautiful. It is clean and tidy. There is nothing to picky about. The location of the homestay is excellent. It takes two or three minutes to get to the main street. It saves a lot of time. My sister will also introduce us to nearby tourist attractions and food. My brother and sister are particularly enthusiastic. There is a need to ask us if we are missing anything. We will make up for it. We are two people traveling. The room is not small. The price is quite close to the people. There is also a car to pick up the car. Especially when we go, we are sent to the location of the taxi. It is really convenient. We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

Facilities: very complete, and children's slippers did not expect Hygienic: worthy of praise, very clean. A very satisfying trip to Pingyao~ The boss also provided Hanfu for free. Just taking pictures in the yard was beautiful. The water dispenser was filled with Yibao mineral water 4.5L. There were also Shanxi specialty souvenirs when checking out. The most important thing is that the boss is very enthusiastic. If you want to buy tickets for ”See Pingyao Again”, just go to him. It's cheaper than the official one. The boss's wife is kind and kind. She explained the map to us very carefully. She also hand-painted key attractions, restaurants and routes, so that we can avoid many unnecessary detours. I remember when I was walking around the city with the map, some people were super envious and asked us where we bought the map. The restaurants recommended by the boss's wife are very unique, delicious and not expensive. And you can get a discount with his key card.
