Riad Laksiba

I went to this typical Arabesque accommodation during my stay in Marrakesh with my girlfriend. The hotel is located inside the city kasbah, tucked into one of the numerous alleys and is built in the style of the accommodation of the Middle Eastern and North African world, with a vast common room consisting of a bathtub, an open roof, sofas and tables for shared breakfast. The rooms are well equipped, with comfortable beds and good bathrooms, with the only drawback being the open shower which often risks getting everything wet and the sinks being a little too small. The rooms can be closed with padlocks and feature the classic frescoes and inlays of the arabesque tradition. The breakfast was very good, well stocked with jams, eggs, cheeses and toasted bread. It is also possible to have dinner in the hotel, but this must be specified well in advance to the owners who must organize the shopping, at least in the morning for the evening. The couscous, with vegetables or meat, and the Moroccan salad are very good. Finally, a special mention for Anas, the reception boy who for the entire duration of our stay was always very kind and helpful: he helped us with booking the hammam, with booking a trip, with booking restaurants and taxis, truly a great hotelier.

Location close to the Medina, in a calmer and quieter area. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Some problems with the hot water which occasionally didn't come out, otherwise a beautiful place and highly recommended! Good breakfast and cuisine.

The owner displays a plaque with 5 🌟 while the riad itself does not even deserve 2 stars There are not even hygiene products (shower gel and others) for customers and not even a shelf to place the products. Breakfast leaves something to be desired a horror. No wifi connection Staff not friendly at all. I do not recommend this Riyadh to everyone. I am requesting a refund because this is really not the service I paid for. I plan to write a letter to the management of the Moroccan hotel industry to report this supporting video and photo evidence.

There were three different concierges and we had difficulties understanding each other. When we arrived at dawn (the flight was delayed and we had informed it) they put us in another room without any type of explanation (they told us that they would move us the next morning... it must have been occupied or unprepared), they did not do the check-in. , neither the night of arrival nor in the morning and they did not give us the keys. When we returned we couldn't enter until another guest opened the door for us, then of having to bang on the door and wait for half an hour. It took another half hour to arrive. It was another concierge who didn't know anything about us. They couldn't find our reservation (despite showing the printed one and providing the itinerary number - they didn't even know what company it was), nor did they know where our luggage was, which had been brought up the cook during the morning, so it took us another half hour until we could rest in the room. The wifi does not work well. They did not change the towels (small and worn), nor did they replace toilet paper until we asked for it. They charged us for a dinner four days later, without having told us that it was paid for on the same day. Furthermore, he told us that we owed it to the other boy from the previous night and that we had not paid him. They didn't give us any tickets even though we asked for it, we don't know which dinner they charged for exactly (that on Sunday or that of other guests the day before)

It is comfortable and very cozy. The attention of all the staff has been impeccable, very attentive and super friendly people. From the moment you arrive they make you feel at home. Totally recommendable.
