The Golden Lion Inn

Bridgnorth|4.9km from St Peters Church Worfield
What a gem of a place! The golden lion in Bridgnorth. Found this lovely little b&b the lovely owner John accommodated me an my hubby last minute. We found the pub but couldn’t see a car park so we parked at the top of the hill by a church, little did we know how close we were to the b&b . My husband suggested me looking for the car park on foot as the side streets are very narrow to drive around especially as we have a big car. I walked back to the golden lion and there were quite a few customers in there (all of which were very friendly with a great sense of humour ) “ John” they shouted this lovely lady needs directions, they all chipped in with directions to the car park. I found the car park where they said. I wasn’t sure wher to park so I called John, he came out straight away telling us not to worry and helped me park up safely. A pleasant young owner who was very good at his job and a very relaxed person making you feel relaxed. Showed us to our immaculate room which was the platform room, lovely modern bathroom , could not fault it . Masks and hand sanitiser all on dresser an Covid rules in place for us to read . Down in the bar a delicious pint of well kept golden glow ( beautiful) crusty cobs available , sat socially distanced from two lovely characters and put the world to rights! Everyone was friendly an couldn’t do enough for you, recommended plenty of good restaurants for us found a great tapas place who too squeezed us in last min. Slept well, and was served a delicious breakfast by the lovely Molly. Due to Covid no usual buffet was served. Again chilled out , an we’re told to checkout when we were ready as no rush as it was sun. Will definitely be back thanks guys for an amazing stay ten out of ten for the Golden lion .👍
