A Green Escape in a Concrete Jungle

This was one of the first places I went after Shanghai’s long lockdown, and it felt amazing to just stretch my legs in the sunshine and surrounded by nature. There was an incredible vibe here too, the park was filled with life: people jogging, having picnics with friends, playing frisbee, bird-feeding sitting by the lake or lying on shaded grassy areas with a book. Spanning around 340 acres of land, Century Park makes for a great afternoon out on a sunny day. Whether you’re looking to go for a leisurely stroll and catch up with a friend, a snack-filled picnic, a long run or to admire the flora and fauna, there’s plenty of room and opportunity to do so. The park is split into several areas: a scenic lakeside area, a forest landscape area, a nature reserve, folk village and more. As per regulations following the latest lockdown in Shanghai, you will need to show a green QR code and a negative pcr result from the last 72 hours in order to get into the park. How to get there: From downtown Shanghai, take line 2 and take Exit 1 at Century Park Station. There are numerous gates through which you can enter the park. #createwithtrip
