The park was built in 1975 by the National Railway Administration of Thailand. The entire elongated park is occupied by an artificial lake, with many bridges crossing the lake to connect the two sides. There is also a small train museum showing the locomotives and carriages of Thailand. Every Sunday, it becomes a grocery market, attracting many tourists to shop. Chadu Festival Park is also one of Bangkok's oldest public parks, with quiet environment, green lawns, trees and flowers blooming, making it a good place for weekends and holidays.
