Liaocheng City has the characteristics of "Jiangbei Water City", known as "Venice of northern China". The Yellow River and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal meet here. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Liaocheng became one of the nine major business capitals along the coast, flourishing for 400 years, and was known as "Jiangbei Metropolis".
