Masjid Malabar Review

In 1927, Malabar, from Kerala, India, founded the Malabar Association to care for their community, made up mainly of textile and jewelry workers. The cornerstone of the mosque was built in 1956 but lacked funds, so it took 17 years to build it. Shortly after the mosque was completed, as the area next to it developed, the green and white tiles here replaced the paint on the exterior walls.
