Situated outside the South Gate of the ancient city of Chiang Mai, near the night market on Saturdays, we followed the navigation through the winding alleys for a long time before we found it. The temple was built in 1502. Although it is not the most famous temple in Chiang Mai, it is very distinctive. It is said that the temple was almost rebuilt except for the teak pillars and roofs of the main hall. The monastery is said to have the only Silver Ring Hall in Thailand. The whole hall is made of a mixture of pure silver, composite silver and aluminium, which shines in the sunshine and is spectacular. But unfortunately, the ladies are not allowed in, so we have to visit the outside world.
