"Location is convenient if you want access to all the shopping, clubbing, food
But it’s located under flight path, hence the noise from the plane will be disruptive for light sleepers. For the rooms facing the Warm Up club, its loud bass will only end at 2am, so it’s a concern for light sleeper. The staff has kindly changed my room to the one facing the main room, hence I am spared from the loud music but still affected by the flight path sound. The bathroom is poorly designed, water spillage will flood the bath room floor, there is no hook in the bathroom. But the staff at the hotel is very very helpful, this compensates all the shortcoming of the design of the hotel."

"The hotel feels stuck in another era. Everything is dated and pale, with interiors that seem from the 1980s. The shower has separate hot and cold valves, weak pressure, and poor temperature control. Lighting in the bathroom is dim and cold, making it hard to see clearly.
The beds are extremely hard. It took a few nights to get used to them, but they’re still uncomfortable. Some staff are polite, others quite rude. When I extended my stay, they couldn’t adjust the rate, so I had to rebook through Trip.com.
Breakfast is mediocre, with limited edible options. The location is great, right by the night market and across from the Marriott. The gym is excellent and well equipped, probably the best part of the hotel. The terrace pool also looks nice.
The place has good potential, but it feels like a ghost of what it once was. Many facilities are closed or underused. If they ever renovate it, it could become a top hotel again. For now, it’s an affordable but tired four-star at best."

"We booked a deluxe twin. We got all special request: quiet, high level, with beautiful view (Maya Mall and the mountain), with jacuzzi, updated room. We were quite happy with the room as it smells fresh, really huge with 2 single beds, desk and a chair, 2 lounge seats.
However, when we try to use the room safe, it was complicated and needed assistance. The room phone was not working, thus we needed to come down to get help. We requested to move to another room. We eventually went back to the first room as the room we moved to was not smelling fresh. The fridge was not working, it was fixed but it was already 5:30pm. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay but it started complicated. The access to 5th floor pool was locked. The pool in the 18th floor seems good but we had to check out already.
The jacuzzi was obviously not been used for a while. It sprouted dirt."

"The room is quite spacious with a super large bed. The duvet is split into two, which is perfect for me as I like to have my own covers when I sleep. The hotel has a pool, which exceeded my expectations, and the garden environment is beautiful; it truly lives up to its name as a Holiday Garden Hotel 🏨. The room comes with fabric slippers, but no waterproof plastic ones. There's no toothbrush or toothpaste, so you'll need to bring your own or buy them at the front desk for 20 THB each. The hotel's bellhop is excellent and helps with luggage. The front desk staff and room service attendants are also very nice, though the English proficiency of the staff outside of the front desk isn't very good."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right on the edge of Chiang Mai's Old City. It's very convenient for transportation, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The Wat Lok Moli temple is also close by, and its night view is stunning, perfect for an evening stroll. I wasn't happy with the room initially assigned, but the front desk promptly arranged a larger one for me. At this price point, it's a great value."

"We had a wonderful stay! The room was surprisingly large and spotless, much appreciated after a long journey. Little touches like the free shampoo, soap, snacks, and coffee really made a difference. The inclusion of a microwave and a water heater was a huge plus a rarity in hotels, and incredibly convenient. - Old City is for temple-hoppers and backpackers who think “authentic” means sharing sidewalks with motorbikes. Cheap guesthouses with wobbly ceiling fans, 700-year-old walls, and ladyboys selling khao soi at 10am. Perfect if you want to post a photo of Wat Phra Singh before the Chinese tour buses arrive. Just don’t come for peace – the Sunday Market turns this place into a som tam circus.
- Riverside is where expats with pensions and yoga retreaters go to zen out. Bougie boutique hotels, vegan smoothie bowls, and sunset cruises where German retirees gossip about Thai wives. Chill vibe, but you’ll pay triple for a river view that’s 50% sewage after monsoon season.
- Night Bazaar Area is for shoppers who think haggling is a personality. Mid-range hotels with neon signs, 2am foot massages, and stalls selling I ♡ Chiang Mai tank tops. Convenient if you want to buy elephant pants and regret it later, but the touts here could sell ice to a Yeti.
Things to Do in Chiang Mai
- Doi Suthep Temple That golden beast on the mountain. Climb the 300+ stairs (or wimp out on the cable car) for killer views. Sunrise is prime time – monks chanting, no tourist hordes, and air that doesn’t feel like soup.
- Elephant Nature Park Only ethical sanctuary that bans riding/bathing. Observe rescued elephants roaming freely. Skip exploitative "sanctuaries" with baths/rides .
- Sticky Waterfalls (Bua Tong) Climb barefoot up limestone tiers like Spider-Man. An hour out of town, but worth the drive (rent a scooter or join a tour).

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews for hotels, but I must write this one. Very good hotel, warm service. The service staff will think of small details. My daughter stayed in bed in the morning, and the breakfast manager prepared a takeaway box to help us prepare breakfast for her to take back. All questions about the itinerary were answered. We encountered the largest flood in history in Chiang Mai, and all the itineraries were disrupted. The hotel was in the worst-hit area, and they considered us from beginning to end and did their best to arrange it. We took a small boat, and four hotel waiters, including a deputy manager, pushed the boat in the chest-deep water. It took an hour to reach the land. The hotel arranged other hotels to get us out of trouble. Thank you very much. A memorable hotel!

The other good thing of the stay was the VEGAN breakfast, the restaurant and the food were super nice and tasty. I love it so much :)
However, on the last day of my stay, I lost my key outside the hotel and when I came back to hotel front desk at mid night, trying to tell the front desk staff to deactivate my old key as I lost it outside and please issue me new key. Instead of deactivating my old key, the staff said first to me was… “it costs you THB$200, for new key”…. Omg… i didn’t expect such a nice hotel providing this kind of response to hotel guest. “So cold and not helpful at all, and just wanna get rid of me as soon as possible”. I was also doubtful about whether he has deactivated the previous key, as he simply didn’t give a shxx on what I said. Therefore, when I got back to my room, I kept on the safety lock on. Coz I dont want to see a stranger standing in the end of my bed at midnight.

HHIROMIStylish and comfortable! This quickly became my favorite hotel in Chiang Mai. The natural-themed interior was absolutely perfect for my taste.
However, the walls were quite thin, leading to poor sound insulation. I was repeatedly woken up by the voices and laughter of other guests returning late at night, which echoed from the hallway.
It was a real shame, especially given how stylish and clean the space was.

AAnonymous UserWe had a twin room for short one night stay to explore Chiang Mai University and see the vibes of local uni students, location is great and have all necessities within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staffs, conversational English skills. Easy to call grab just from outside of the hotel, but try avoiding traffic rush hour when everyone is heading to university in the morning or coming down to and from night market at the late evenings. Also suitable for families to stay here as well, they have plenty of children play stuffs at the lobby.

GGoh Guan HeeThe location of the hotel is situated right in the heart of Nimman area, easy accessible to restaurants, massage spa and One Nimman. The hotel also provide free waters and snacks especially and you never feel hungry nor thirsty. The hotel has a nice roof top which offer a nice view of nimman area. The room is definitely very spacious and clean. This is the hotel i will return for my trip to Chiang Mai. I have personally never miss their buffet breakfast.

IIvanaklicIt is a hostel in the near proximity of the old town and night markets. A lot of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. Its a bit loud and not so pleasant in the night because of the bars and Thai girls offering their companionship.... The dorms are quite small for 8 persons, and there is hardly space to open your suitcase, and also no place where to put it, since the lockers are made for a medium backpack. Dorms are always crowded, so be ready for that, and the hygiene is not on a high level due to a lot of people using the premises. Although, the staff is doing their best to maintain the bathrooms and hallways, but....
