It was held by the Buddhist monk. In the end of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, the abbots volunteered the temple and its industry to the adjoining southern Fujian abbot Zhang Daoshi. After Zhang Daoshi took over, he raised funds to repair it and make it refreshed. It has become a temple of Shanghai Taoist Zheng.
