Parkview square arts#artshunting Planning my Village Hotel Bugis staycation and I am here walking around Bugis area. There is this gothic looking building which I have to pass by on my way from Village Hotel Bugis towards Bugis area. There were no doors so I went there and there were many artworks around the foyer area. The building was closed but their foyer area is open and anyone can enter. There were at least 5 to 6 artworks on display. The most interesting artwork for me will be the 4 men standing on each other. This is Singapore’s first open air museum in a commercial building.Berrysurprise49

One day, I decided to invite my ex colleague and colleague to explore this building. When we came to the front of the building, the building indeed looked so grand. It was so stunning and spectacular! The building is always referred to as Singapore's Gotham City or Batman City due to its striking resemblance to the fictional Gotham City in the Batman films. It is easily accessible by public transport, within a 5-minute walking distance from the Bugis MRT Station. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in Singapore. Anyone who steps into the building will be in awe. Famous Gotham buildingAddress - Parkview Square, 600 North Bridge Road, Singapore 188778 The Parkview Square building is well-known colloquially as the Gotham building by locals in Singapore! With a dark, gloomy facade along with gargoyle-looking statues along the sides, it’s easy to see why it could look like it came straight out of a Batman movie. Its design is heavily influenced by post-modern, neo art deco styles of architecture. It houses commercial spaces, a museum exhibition floor and the epic Atlas Bar. I love how exotic yet mysterious this building looks, it is really very unique and stands out from the other surrounding buildings. Atlas - Asia'a No 7 bar📍600 North Bridge Rd, S188778 Atlas is on the 7 in 2021 Asia’s 50 best bar list, one of the most famous and luxury bars in Singapore. It’s called a library of Gin, and a real “Gatsby” party place. 🎉Once Jay Chou came to the bar and paid the bill for everyone in the store. 🤣It also might be one of the few bars with a dresscode (Only after 5pm). The bar is huge, standing on the Parkview square. It serves high tea so it opens earlier than other bars. The decoration is in a noble and elegant style. There is a magnificent gin collection of the entire counter, but there is a charge for visiting. 🍸SGCF signature: All Night Long, inspired by the song of the same name. It’s of course, based on Gin. This cocktail has fruity aromas of peach and lychee, and the taste of alcohol is hidden in it. It tastes refreshing and sweet. As it’s said in its introduction, “It’s a drink that anyone could enjoy all night long.” After the signature, I ordered a Gin Tonic. You can never leave Gin library without a Gin Tonic. They have multiple choices of G&T. 🇸🇬Have an artsy time at ParkView Square 🗿#singapore Upon entering ParkView square, I could immediately noticed a few notable art installations! Of course the highlight would go to the Golden Crane that sits right in the Center of the open plaza. There’s also a poem scripted on its base expressing about homesickness. It’s also believed to be related to the fengshui of this building. My personal favourite would be the ‘Dressed Woman’. It sorts of remind my to embrace myself, my beauty and everyone can look confident regardless of age, height, size and gender! Another interesting one would be the snail queen. It looks so whimsical and I read online that it’s depicting a message of hard shell protecting a soft and vulnerable psyche. The building is iconic, spectacular and art deco, and is said to be one of the most expensive office buildings in Singapore. It is often affectionately called Gotham Square because it is strikingly similar to Gotham City. You can find the Divine Bar atlas in the lobby, one of the best and most elegant bars in Singapore. The decoration here is amazing and gives you a 19th century feel. I stumbled upon the building on my way to Kampunglam. I was completely fascinated. This is one of the most incredible buildings I have ever seen. It’s an office building with 5 embassies (well, that’s what others told me). Come here and stroll around, you won’t be disappointed.
The most striking part of Qiaofu Square Building is the ceiling of the hall. Museums are changing different kinds of exhibits and are free of charge. In addition to bars and offices, the building also has embassies in Austria, Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates.
One of a kind architecture in Singapore. Parkview Square otherwise none as Gotham City has an excellent bar that is a must when you are there!
