The status quo of Kaiyangbao is quiet, desolate and dilapidated. The winter depression makes this old village look more lonely. When the weather is good, the old people often put their hands on their sleeves and bask in the sun at the root of the wall. This is the ancient village Kaiyangbao, about 20 kilometers from Zhangjiakou Yangyuan County, now an administrative village in Flotus Township. According to the "Chinese Historical Atlas", Kaiyangbao is the Anyang Temple of Zhao Dynasty in the Warring States period, and has a history of more than 2,000 years, known as the "Northern Ancient Temple" and the Guanne "Loulan Ancient City". Kaiyang Fort has the glory of the ancient temples of more than 2,300 years since the Warring States, the imprints of the merchants of the Tang and Song Dynasty, the cultural treasures left by the ancient Kaiyang people, and still retains the ancient streets and city walls and Tang and Song style buildings. After years of baptism, although the castle is simple and heavy, but the high and steep earthen wall has been peeled like a natural earth mountain, let alone the thousand-year-old buildings have been dilapidated; exquisite murals have collapsed, or mottled, the protection of the status quo is very worrying.
