Wow! I see a LOT of OUTSTANDING reviews here! Really? I didn't think so on my visit this past week with my daughter. I give it a 'light smile'? (what kind of rating system is this anyway?)As a really good place to bring elementary students for a school trip, yeah, thumbs up & awesome. (saw many of those!) BUT, for a MAJOR international vacation destination, I would expect a LOT more. In particular, this place is like Sea World lite ... and I mean VERY lite. There are 3 shows here: 1 with Sea Lions and 2 with Dolphins. We went to the Sea Lion show and the Flipper dolphin show. We skipped the main Dolphin show, which perhaps was better (?) But, those 2 shows, while very nice and instructive were rather short and not very intense ... at least compared to shows in Sea World, Disney or Universal (obviously the last two don't do aqua mammal shows, but as shows go.) They were rather instructional, however, so I give ++ points for interested children. There is a 4th stadium, however, on my visit that was shut down. From looking at it, I assume (could be wrong) that they once had a killer whale show, but have stopped that(?) Whatever, it's a significant part of the park offering nothing now.Upon entering there is a pool with flamingos. It's nice, a few dozen birds there who look rather bored. It's ok if not great. Check Flamingo Gardens in Davie (just west of Ft Lauderdale) for a much better experience. The Tropical Fish & Reef Aquariums are a mixed bag ... many no fish, most not impressive. Sea World in Orlando has MUCH better. The Manatee pool is, well, just really sad. No room to move and nothing of interest. Just a swimming pool; they just sit there motionless. Really, seems cruel!Discovery Bay has no turtles, section is empty. Otherwise nice. Also no air conditioning other than gift shop or cafe, so keep that in mind. Summary: good for local kids, parties, etc. Not recommended for general tourists. IMHO.
