Twelve Pagodas (Prasat Suor Prat), also known as the Twelve Pagodas, are a series of temples across the Royal Square from north to south, with a total of 12, extending from the Victory Gate and arranged symmetrically. The buildings were scattered across the Elephant Terrace, and it was not known what the buildings were for when they were visited. It was later known that they represented the zodiac. According to the description in "Zhenla Fengdu Ji" written by Zhou Daguan in the Yuan Dynasty of China, the role of the tower seems to be to mediate and adjudicate some disputes among the local people.
