The Luca Bell Tower is located on Via Fillungo Avenue in the center of Luca in Tuscany, Italy. The tower is Luca's tallest tower, which was acquired by the government in the 14th century and decided to house a clock in 1390. In Lucca, visitors visit the nearby Torre Guinigi, topped by a beautiful tree view. It is now also owned by Lucca. The current clock mechanism dates back to the 18th century. It is unclear how the clock face and mechanism of 1390. The early clock towers did have hour markers.
