I heard of Husk and their reputation for Southern cuisine and preservation of rare and obscure heirloom vegetable varieties, so I found them. I loved the elegant modern atmosphere, which is situated in a lovely late Victorian mansion. Sunday night was described as a 3 hour wait without an appointment, but in the end I was lucky enough to get a comfortable downstairs bar seated at a very reasonable length of time. Selected area whiskey and bourbon were the best I have ever seen. Other wines were equally impressive, I ordered a Hemingway De Kerry, and I had never found a bartender who knew how to mix less of the proper ingredients. The bar staff was excellent, very personal and knowledgeable. I also have one if they are professional, a "young Cuban", which is a delightful and prepared cocktail above. I have a tomato salad, noble springs, goat cheese, hot and sour biscuits and biscuits. Taste delicious, sweet and sour. My dinner was accompanied by a superb California Roosevelt, a Southern vegetable dish. This dish includes stew cabbage, tomato/cucumber salad (I would have chosen a different first dish if I had known this one), a few rice smashed a fourth dish, I actually forgot, and a cooked egg, placed in a delicate broth, There was some thick and thick gravel on it. It was all very well done and the stone pottery carefully made when serving was as pleasing to the eye as the meal was. I really wanted dessert but was satisfied. I hope to visit the restaurant again, and its sister location in South Carolina.
