Kunming South Railway Station (昆明南站) opened in 2016 on the Shanghai–Kunming high-speed corridor and is now the largest pure high-speed hub in Yunnan. It handles G, D and C series trains rather than the slow overnight services, and it is the departure point for cross-border trains to Laos.

The building has four working levels, and knowing which one you need saves a lot of walking.

  • Level 3: Departures and the main waiting hall. Ticket offices, security screening, ticket gates, and the drop-off area for taxis and private cars. The international ticketing counter for China–Laos trains is here too. A commercial mezzanine above this level has fast food including KFC and McDonald's, Yunnan restaurants, coffee and convenience stores.
  • Level 2: Platforms. Around 16 platforms served by escalators and lifts from the departure hall.
  • Level 1: Arrivals and ground transport. The arrival concourse and exits, taxi ranks, private car pick-up and parking.

Outside, the East Square holds the Kunming South Bus Center, which is where you find regional long-distance coaches, city buses and airport shuttle buses. The West Square is the pedestrian entrance, with bus pick-up and the main metro access.

Kunming South Railway Station Location and Key Distances

Kunming South sits in Chenggong District in the south-east of the city, not downtown. That single detail drives most of the practical planning.

Getting to and from Kunming South Railway Station

Metro Lines 1 and 4

The metro is the default option and the cheapest. Both Line 1 and Line 4 terminate at Kunming South Railway Station, with the concourse on level B1 beneath the terminal.

Line 1 runs north towards Chenggong University Town and on towards the city centre and the South Bus Station. Line 4 runs north-west through Dounan and Niujiezhuang to Kunming North Railway Station, and interchanges with Line 6, the airport line, at Juhua.

A metro journey downtown takes 50 to 60 minutes including a change. Buy a single-journey ticket from the machines or use Alipay or WeChat Pay at the gates.

To and from the airport

Changshui International Airport is about 40 km north-east of the station, and there is no direct rail link. Two options work: the metro with a change onto Line 6, allowing around 90 minutes, or the airport shuttle bus from the East Square. With luggage, the shuttle or a taxi is usually the better trade.

Taxis and DiDi

The official taxi rank is on level 1 at the arrivals exit, and DiDi pick-up points are signposted nearby. Drivers use meters, and a downtown trip costs roughly CNY 70 to 100. Traffic on the airport expressway and the ring roads can turn a 45-minute run into a 70-minute one, so allow for it if you are heading to a flight.

Buses and long-distance coaches

City buses stop at both squares. The Kunming South Bus Center on the East Square runs regional coaches to destinations across Yunnan for anyone continuing by road rather than rail.

Kunming South vs Kunming Station: Which One Do You Need?

Kunming has two main railway stations, they are about 28 km apart, and the names differ by a single character in Chinese and one word in English. Turning up at the wrong one is the most common way travellers miss a train here.

The rule to remember: if the destination is a Yunnan highlight on the high-speed network, you almost certainly want Kunming South. If it is an overnight sleeper or a slow regional train, check for Kunming Station. And if your ticket says simply "Kunming", that is the downtown station, not the south one.

The China–Laos Railway: Trains to Luang Prabang and Vientiane

The China–Laos Railway: Trains to Luang Prabang and Vientiane

Kunming South is one of the two departure points for the cross-border service to Laos, and it is the reason a rail trip from China to Southeast Asia is now a realistic itinerary.

The trains run on CR200J "green giant" sets at up to 160 km/h, with a power socket at every seat and announcements in Chinese, Lao and English. The route runs Kunming or Kunming South to Yuxi, Pu'er, Xishuangbanna, then Mohan on the Chinese side of the border, Boten on the Lao side, and on through Muang Xay, Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng to Vientiane.

Four practical points decide whether this works for you:

  • Departure station varies by train number. The D87 service starts and ends at Kunming South, with a morning departure. The D86 and D84 services start at Kunming Station and also call at Kunming South. Check the ticket, not the assumption.
  • Get your Lao visa before you travel. The border at Boten does not generally issue visas on arrival, so you need a paper visa or an e-visa in hand before boarding.
  • Border formalities take time. The process is two-stage: alight at Mohan for Chinese exit formalities, then continue to Boten for Lao entry. Including the crossings, budget around 9.5 to 10 hours end to end.
  • Book early. Tickets are sold through the cross-border section of the official 12306 app or at the international ticket windows at Kunming and Kunming South, and popular dates sell out.

How to Book Kunming Train Tickets

China Railways runs on electronic tickets, and for foreign passport holders the passport is the ticket. There is nothing to collect.

  • Book online. High-speed tickets typically go on sale around 15 days before departure. You can book on the official 12306 app or through Trip.com, and Trip.com is the easier route with a non-Chinese passport and a foreign card.
  • Match your name exactly. The name on the booking must match the passport name line precisely, including any middle names and without stray punctuation. A mismatch means the gate will not open for you.
  • Use the manual lane at the gates. Automatic turnstiles read Chinese identity cards; passport holders use the staffed lane beside them.
  • Ticket counters at the station are on the departure level and handle purchases, changes and refunds, including an international ticketing counter for the Laos trains. Queues are long on public holidays.

Departing from Kunming South: Step by Step

  1. Arrive 45 to 60 minutes before departure, and 75 minutes during peak periods such as the October Golden Week and Chinese New Year.
  2. Enter at level 3 and go through identity verification and security screening. Show your passport.
  3. Check the departure boards for your train number, departure time and gate. Kunming South uses lettered and numbered gates, so read the board rather than guessing.
  4. Boarding usually opens 15 to 20 minutes before departure and closes strictly 5 minutes before the train leaves.
  5. On the platform, match the carriage number on the floor markings and overhead displays to your ticket, and find your seat.

Arriving at Kunming South: What to Do Next

Follow the green exit signs down to level 1. Swipe your passport at the staffed lane at the exit turnstiles, then choose your onward transport: the metro on B1, taxis at the level 1 rank, or buses and coaches from the squares.

If you are continuing straight to Dali, Lijiang or Xishuangbanna, note that some onward trains leave from Kunming South itself, so you may not need to go into the city at all. Check before you book a hotel downtown.

Kunming South Railway Station Facilities

Kunming South Railway Station

  • Left luggage. Storage counters and lockers are available for a daily fee. Useful if you are spending a few hours in the city between trains.
  • Food and shops. The mezzanine above the departure hall has fast food chains, Yunnan restaurants, coffee and convenience stores.
  • Restrooms and water. Public restrooms on each level, including accessible facilities, with hot and ambient drinking water stations.
  • Charging. Charging points and rentable power bank hubs in the seating areas, typically requiring WeChat or Alipay.
  • Other services. ATMs, nursing and baby care rooms, and information desks.

Practical Tips for International Travellers

  • Your passport comes out at least three times: entering the station, at the boarding gate, and exiting at your destination. Keep it accessible rather than buried in a bag.
  • Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay before you arrive. Station shops, taxis and vending machines work on QR payment, and cash is slow and sometimes refused.
  • Signage is bilingual but spoken English is limited. An offline translation app is worth having.
  • Luggage limits apply. Hand luggage is generally capped at 20 kg per adult with combined dimensions of about 130 cm. Liquids over 100 ml must be sealed, and aerosols over 120 ml and knives are confiscated at security.
  • Double-check your station. Say "Kunming South" and show the Chinese characters 昆明南站 to a driver, or you may end up at the downtown station.
  • Save the Chinese address. 昆明南站, 呈贡区, 昆明市 in your phone is enough for any taxi driver.

First time in Kunming, I ended up choosing the well-established Grand Park Hotel. The overall decor has a very Hong Kong feel to it. The room wasn't huge, and the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but it was very clean and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to Michael! The absolute best part was the breakfast – it was truly outstanding and definitely worth coming for on its own. It was clean and hygienic, with a wide variety of high-quality options. There weren't many traditional stir-fries, leaning more towards Western choices. The roasted chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The homemade yogurt was also a highlight. The hotel's location is also excellent; you can see Green Lake Park from your room, and there are tons of tourist spots nearby. The little streets nearby are great for exploring. All in all, I highly recommend it; it's fantastic value for money!

The hotel is in the city, so the room isn't huge, but I love the color scheme. The little tag on the mineral water bottle was a nice touch. I really enjoyed just relaxing in the room, drinking coffee, and reading a book. In the evening, I went to the 6th floor for a workout and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's lighting decor – it was really photogenic! I spent half an hour taking pictures and picked one I liked to show off.

My stay was absolutely fantastic. The room was quite impressive; I stayed in a 210° view room, and the vista was exceptional. The expansive scenery outside the window, offering a bird's-eye view of the surroundings, truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was incredibly rich, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options, and the taste was superb. The hotel service was spot on, and the front desk staff were particularly helpful, providing me with a charging cable and scissors, among other things I needed. I felt right at home. Overall, the value for money was excellent; it was well worth it. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Stayed for one night and the hotel was so good, I immediately booked for two more. The hotel staff were incredibly thoughtful, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The male manager with glasses in the restaurant, along with the lovely hostess at the reception, were both amazing. There were two staff members with glasses, one with a very red face, and the young man who made the rice noodles even told me the most authentic way to eat them. The omelet chef respectfully greeted guests by bowing his head. And my absolute favorite was the Thai rice noodles – so tasty I ate them for three days straight! A big thank you to the restaurant's head chef who even added extra sauce and let me pack some to eat on the plane. The fresh flower pastries were fantastic; the manager gave me a box, and they were so good I was speechless. I ended up buying three more boxes myself, and everyone who tried them back home raved about how delicious they were. Seriously, you *must* buy them, highly recommended! Thank you to the hotel for your service these past few days.

We were on a family trip and originally planned to stay at the Grand Hyatt Kunming, but we couldn't get a room because we hadn't booked in advance. So we ended up staying at this hotel instead, and the overall experience was comfortable and recommendable. Our room was on a higher floor with an expansive view, though there's still some development happening around the hotel. The room itself was small but clean, and the facilities were well-maintained. The shower had great water pressure, which was refreshing. The window allowed for good natural light, and it was quiet at night, so we slept soundly. Downstairs, there are many snack options, and Wanda Plaza is right next door, making it convenient for finding food. The hotel breakfast offered a rich selection. The hotel is about a 15-minute taxi ride from Kunming Station. The overall price was affordable, making it a good choice for family trips, business travel, and more. Yuma and Ray at the front desk were very enthusiastic and meticulous in their service, and other staff members were also friendly and greeted guests warmly, which was much appreciated.

My stay at Jinbi Clubhouse exceeded expectations. The front desk upgraded my room for free, and it was spotlessly clean. I particularly loved their bedding; it was very comfortable. All the staff were incredibly friendly. Whether it was checking in at the front desk, having breakfast in the morning, or encountering housekeeping staff, everyone would stop and greet me politely. It felt like a very professionally managed hotel! I also have to commend the location – right in the city center, making it easy to get anywhere! This is a pretty good hotel. The breakfast is nice, and the service is excellent. The front desk even upgraded my room. It's right by Cuihu Lake, not far from other attractions, and the surrounding area is great for walking around and taking photos. **Facilities:** The room design is a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom not having a separate wet and dry area isn't ideal. The internet also wasn't very good. Considering it's a 70-year-old hotel, the facilities are still acceptable. Overall, I highly recommend it.

We arrived in the city at 11:30pm and we couldn’t get transfer from the airport as their working hours were from 4 am to 2pm. Maybe you need to order a car in a very advance. But it was not far from the airport and you can easily get there by local bus. The room wasn’t very clean, but it was alright. WiFi worked okay. There is a local market not far from the hotel, but not a lot of shops. There was water and kettle in the room. And it was very quiet, so you can get good sleep.

My overall experience during this stay was absolutely fantastic, and I must give a special shout-out to Lily (the server). She was incredibly welcoming during check-in, proactively helped with luggage to my room, and thoroughly explained all the hotel's amenities. Knowing I was traveling with two young children, she thoughtfully provided special kids' slippers and toothbrushes and even added extra safety rails, ensuring my little ones' safety during our stay. Since it was raining and difficult to go out, Lily actively invited the kids to participate in the hotel's DIY craft activities. My younger child is only two and not yet skilled at mixing and applying colors, but the staff patiently helped with the paints and guided her hand-in-hand through the creation process. At one point, my older child needed to attend an online meeting, and it was easy to be disturbed by her younger sibling in the room. After speaking with Lily, she immediately suggested using the hotel's study room, where she flexibly managed the ambient noise based on the children present, which was a huge help for me. Objectively, the room's hardware facilities might have a slight drawback, but the staff's exceptionally thoughtful and proactive, warm service more than made up for any shortcomings in the hardware. It was arguably the best service I've ever experienced during any stay. I'll definitely prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip.

1. This hotel by Dianchi Lake primarily boasts its scenic views and fresh air. However, encountering a room contaminated with cigarette smoke can be quite a jarring contrast. Of course, smoking is a personal choice and uncontrollable. But smokers are a small segment of hotel guests; most are families with elderly and children. As a hotel, something should be done to safeguard everyone's health. The country has introduced many new regulations on smoking, and I hope the hotel can respond and implement positive oversight. 2. Regarding the buffet environment. Firstly, I was very satisfied with the wide variety of dishes, many with unique characteristics, available at this price point. However, the ventilation in the dining area is a significant problem. The staff explained that windows and doors couldn't be opened due to insects, which is a bit disappointing. If the air conditioning isn't strong enough, then air circulation should compensate, but unfortunately, the stuffy environment with cooking fumes and heat created a very unpleasant experience. This hotel stay, I want to thank MIA for your proactive responses and meticulous care. Thank you [rose]

I ended up extending my stay for another night immediately after the first one. (Personally, I think the 8-bed dorm is even better than the 6-bed one – in the 8-bed, six people are separated from four, giving you a bit more space. The 6-bed dorm by the window has a smoking and chat area right below it at night.) The location is excellent; it's just across the street from Cuihu Park, a quick walk across the road and down some steps. It's also within walking distance of the subway station, and the area isn't noisy. The morning sunlight is lovely when you wake up. The front desk staff are very attentive; they helped me with my luggage and guided me upstairs. The online customer service was also very responsive. The cleaning aunties were responsible and thoughtful. You use a card to enter, and there are lockers above where you can put things. Inside the drawers, there are bath towels, water, and a care kit (which even included fringe stickers!). There are also disinfected slippers. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding, lights, and charging ports were all high-quality standard, plus there's a small bedside table. The bathroom wasn't crowded, and the toilet was convenient and clean. There's also a laundry area, but with limited hours. The restaurant bar on the second floor has a great vibe. The corridor has swings and tables and chairs where you can sunbathe and have tea in the morning, or enjoy the breeze and chat at night. There were quite a few foreign friends there. Looking at the guestbook, the postcards downstairs, the message board, and the daily activity posters, it really feels like one of those rare places with genuine human care from a few years ago – or at least, it matches my impression of what a Yunnan youth hostel atmosphere should be! If you need to book, it's best to do it in advance, as this place is quite popular, haha. Oh, and I highly recommend the Caoya Rice Noodles shop right across the street; I thought they were delicious!

The location is excellent, right by Cuihu Lake. The room was indeed small, but that's understandable given the prime real estate around the lake. The in-room amenities are all high-end brands like Duravit, which shows the designer's attempt to compensate for the small size. The bedside power strip and reading light design are also quite clever. The service was great; the front desk staff were enthusiastic and even helped with laundry and promptly mailed back an item I left in the room. My only minor complaint is that the lobby can get quite noisy during lunch and dinner service. I feel for the ladies working at the front desk who have to patiently assist guests and answer questions in such an environment – you all are doing a fantastic job!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I was quite hesitant before choosing it, especially after reading about the negative elevator incident, which made me really worry about safety. So, every time I took the elevator during my stay, I was on edge. The main reason I decided to stay was for the hot springs and swimming pool, as it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently, and I figured we'd just enjoy the hotel. Honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed with the service, and the facilities are quite old, very old. If it weren't for the constant rain and traveling with a child, I probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. Especially after visiting Fuxian Lake, the comparison really highlighted its shortcomings.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service. The front desk was very responsive when I asked to change rooms, and there were welcome fruits. My only minor complaint is that a staff member knocked and then entered the room without waiting for a response. I switched from a Luxury King room to a Hot Spring King room. The Luxury King was on the 2nd floor, directly facing the restaurant downstairs and the golf course outside. The view was nice, but it was a bit noisy. After changing rooms, the privacy was much better, even though I sacrificed some indoor space. It's less than a ten-minute walk to Haigeng Park, making evening strolls very relaxing. I ordered takeout, but the hotel doesn't allow the deliveryman to deliver to the room because it was inconvenient for me, so I asked the front desk for help, and it was delivered to the room very quickly. When I asked the reason, the front desk guy told me that it was for the safety of the guests that the deliveryman was not allowed to go upstairs. The hotel has trained guests that if they need takeout to the room, they can help deliver it. The overall feeling of the hotel is good, and the service attitude is very good. When I checked in, I asked about the surrounding attractions and routes, and they explained it very patiently. The room internet connection was very fast, and I asked the waiter, who told me that each room has an independent dedicated line. The room feels clean, and you can swim, exercise, and take a hot spring bath. Since I had a lot of fun, I didn't have time to take a few photos of the hotel. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and the hot spring water was drawn from underground. The whole hotel was a recreational attraction. Kunming Changshui International Airport Kunming|22.28km from city center
Every time I stay at this hotel when flying from Kunming, it feels better and better. Before, the airport drop-off used to be to the parking lot downstairs, and it was inconvenient to carry luggage and walk a long distance. I didn't expect that this time the hotel's airport shuttle dropped us directly at the terminal entrance. Their humanized service is continuously improving. The hotel rooms are clean, hygienic, and comfortable, and the front desk even upgraded our room, which was super great! There are also delicious restaurants nearby!

Cuihu District Kunming|2.22km from city center
1️⃣ Location: The hotel is very close to Cuihu Lake. We walked with our stroller to Cuihu Park and Yuantongshan Zoo within a day. Downstairs is a prime citywalk route, passing by Zhibushi (a stationery store) and Rubber Bookstore. Ordering takeout was incredibly convenient, with a wide variety of options and delicious food. We enjoyed Dianhong lattes while tea-tasting uphill and avocado yogurt from Xiangzi Tea Shop. 2️⃣ Room Condition: The 13th-floor front desk was well-decorated and impressive. The room we booked was advertised as 28 square meters, but the actual room we were initially assigned upon check-in didn't seem that large. Plus, the window overlooked an old residential complex, which didn't match the city street view mentioned in the description. After contacting the hotel, they moved us to a room with a street view that was also slightly larger. 🛀 The showerhead was excellent; showering was very enjoyable. 3️⃣ Service: Check-in was after 2:00 PM, but even though we arrived after 3:00 PM, we still waited about 15 minutes to check in. Calls to the front desk were answered quickly, and you could tell the staff were dedicated, but perhaps they were a bit overwhelmed due to too many guests. 4️⃣ Facilities: There's a laundry room and treadmill on the 1st floor. The washer and dryer worked well, and the treadmill was good too. An hour of incline walking finally burned some calories. The downside is that the elevator is quite small and easily gets overloaded. 5️⃣ Value for Money: We paid 500+ for the hotel. Since the room was still quite small, I feel most of the money went towards the location, so the value for money wasn't very high. If location isn't your top priority, a hotel on Nanping Street would also be a good option.

The hotel's downtown location is fantastic, with plenty of street food downstairs and convenient transportation. The room itself was great, and the service was very attentive. They also have a coffee shop on the third floor with many cute cats, although they're not very friendly. There's a cuter cat at the front desk on the first floor. Highly recommend this place for cat lovers!

Colorful Yunnan Paradise Kunming|29.69km from city center
This hotel is right next to Colorful Yunnan Happy World, just a wall away. Every time I bring my son to Colorful Yunnan, we always stay here! We've been staying for three or four years straight! I especially want to praise the staff service, it's absolutely amazing [thumb up R]! Staff members arrive within five minutes. The front desk staff, Xiao Liang, is beautiful and kind. When we checked in, our luggage was taken all the way to our room. Since the food delivery robot was a bit slow, the concierge even delivered the items directly to our door!

Century City area Kunming|8.51km from city center
Honestly, this hotel's rating is definitely underestimated. It's a traditional, established five-star hotel. We got a free room upgrade, and the room was very spacious. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are all high-quality. The hotel also has a large parking lot and lobby, and the breakfast area is huge with a wide variety of options. I've stayed at Century Golden Resources in Chongqing, which is a renowned hotel there. I'm not sure why it seems to be perceived as lesser in Kunming; it's severely underrated. They offer free umbrella rentals, and there's a huge shopping mall nearby, making everything very convenient. The best part is that the prices didn't even go up during the May Day holiday, which is incredibly fair. The only drawback is that they are currently undergoing renovations, so it's a bit noisy during the day. However, we were out exploring during the day, so we mostly avoided the noise. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The service was excellent; we were greeted warmly upon arrival. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast spread was generous. The facilities are well-maintained, and there are many fruit and dining options nearby. Plus, there's a subway station just 500 meters away, making getting around very convenient.

Tongde Kunming Shopping Center Kunming|4.3km from city center
This business hotel is a typical case of ”great location, but hardware lags behind.” It's ideal for those who need to be around Tongde and prioritize convenient transportation. However, if you have high expectations for facility quality and hygiene, you might want to reconsider. The location is its biggest advantage. It's about a ten-minute walk to Tongde Plaza and Baiyun Road subway station, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making dining and shopping easy. The hotel also has a free parking lot, which is a plus for those traveling by car. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff's attitude was neither overly enthusiastic nor neglectful. However, the shortcomings in the stay experience are also quite noticeable. Arriving around 2 PM, well past the usual cleaning time, I found a large bag of trash left behind the door when I opened it, indicating a clear oversight in the housekeeping's final checks. The room was not large, with a compact layout, leaving limited space after luggage was placed. The hardware showed significant signs of aging: the wall outlets were visibly worn, with yellowed and loose plastic casings, clearly indicating their age. The metal shelf by the sink was already rusty, suggesting a lack of attention to detail in maintenance, which falls short of the brand's positioning. Additionally, during my stay, people often rang the doorbell in the evening. While this was likely caused by outsiders mistakenly pressing the wrong bell and not entirely the hotel's fault, it did disrupt the peace and quiet of the stay. Overall, its strengths are the location and value for money, with prices being mid-range in the Tongde area. If you're looking for a short-term stay and aren't particular about the age of the hardware, this place is an option. However, if you value hygiene details and room quality, there are better choices at the same price point.

Dianchi Lake Scenic Area/ Sunac World Kunming|6.26km from city center
The hotel is located in 1903, which is very convenient for travel and shopping. The breakfast ingredients are fresh and taste great. The room has good lighting and is very comfortable. There is a self-service laundry room on the second floor, as well as a gym. The service of the front desk and the cleaning lady is also great. It will definitely be the first choice when I come to Kunming next time.

Nanping Pedestrian Street Kunming|0.16km from city center
Great hotel, super clean and modern rooms that were very well equipped with anything you could need. They have outside gardens on each floor and beautiful courtyards to hmrest when you want a break from being out all day. The breakfast is delicious, a good selection of local and western items. Location was very cool next to the night market so plenty of fun places to have meals and despite the market being there all day, the rooms were extremely quiet. Also very easy and quick (under 20 mins) to get a didi to Kunming station.

Finally found this incredibly unique ethnic guesthouse! The overall decor blends various minority ethnic elements, and the intricate decorations mean every photo you take turns out atmospheric. The room was spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding and complete amenities. The guesthouse offers authentic Yunnan rice noodles and 'Guanguan' milk tea, both with genuine flavors. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive, always responding promptly to any issues. The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. It's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, quiet and not noisy, allowing for a good rest and relaxation. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kunming!

First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University/Pan Jia Wan Kunming|2.77km from city center
A very unique hotel with friendly staff. The facilities are great and worth the price, plus it has character. There are minor imperfections, like some power outlets not being ideally placed, but these are outweighed by the positives. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The window views and greenery were a pleasant surprise, and a major reason I extended my stay for another night was the comfortable bedding – I slept wonderfully! I chose this hotel for its proximity to Cuihu Lake, and this stay far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the front desk and butler for their warm hospitality. I hope Raw continues to improve!

South Asia Feature No. 1 City Kunming|2.4km from city center
I first booked this hotel in Kunming when I went to Dali, and I chose it again when I returned from Dali. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the price is reasonable. It's a 20-minute walk to Wanda Plaza, or you can take an e-bike. I really liked their breakfast and the laundry room; it was clearly maintained by a dedicated person, very clean and tidy. I'm planning to book this hotel again next time I visit Kunming specifically for a trip. Plus, there's a great restaurant downstairs – a stir-fry place that's quite authentic, but I forgot its name.

The The Mixc Kunming|2.93km from city center
The location of the hotel can also be near Vientiane City. The hotel is on the side of the road and is easier to find. The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large. This hotel has several floors and dozens of rooms. The sound insulation is too poor. There is also a wooden board and mirror of a cabinet in the next room. The sound of boiling water in the next room was very clear, the sound of opening the cabinet door in the next room was also very clear, and the sound of talking in the next room was also very clear. The sound of bathing upstairs and next door was also very clear, the sound of rushing water. The voice in the corridor was also heard very clearly, the sound of walking in the corridor, the sound of pulling the suitcase, and it was also heard very clearly. On the evening of the New Year's Eve, I called the front desk several times and no one answered. On the second day, I asked the front desk person, and the front desk person said that it was a holiday. No one cleaned on the first day of the New Year, the front desk had to change my room, and I didn't change it. I have stayed in so many hotels. The first time I encountered such a situation, there was no one at the front desk on the 30th night of the New Year. There was no staff in the hotel and no security. There was no cleaning staff on the first day of the New Year. This is not a small hotel, it is also a relatively large hotel, how can this situation occur? I stayed at this hotel for more than ten days and didn't see who the manager of the hotel was from the beginning to the end. In addition to a staff member at the front desk, it was the cleaning person.
