THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION IN KARAISKAKI SQUARE, CLOSE TO TRANSPORTATION (METRO, BUS, TAXI). VERY NEAR THE AREA OF PSYRI, MONASTIRAKI, CENTER.
REGARDING SERVICE:

1. ORIGINALLY, WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM WITH A SIDE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS. AFTER I NOTICED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD FIX IT BY THE AFTERNOON, THIS WAS ONLY AFTER MY REPEATED CALLS TO THE RECEPTION. THE NEW ROOM WAS WITH AN EXCELLENT VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS OF ATHENS - JUST AS I PAID FOR.
2. THE FIRST ROOM WE GOT HAD A ”BLOWN” BATHROOM DOOR WHICH WOULD NOT CLOSE.
3. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE FLOOR WAS UNACCEPTABLE, WITH A LOT OF FLUFF, WHICH WASN'T PICKED UP ANY OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS.

The location is not very good. It takes five minutes to reach Constitution Square and 20 minutes to the Acropolis. It is within walking distance from Plaka. Next to it is the Women's Street, where there are various restaurants and supermarkets. The attitude of the waiter is very good, the room is okay, the family room is two completely independent rooms, and the public area at the door is also enclosed as a connection (suitable for luggage), which is very suitable for older children or elderly people of the same shape, without interfering with each other . The only thing is that the power of the hair dryer is too small and the breakfast is basically not changed.From$401

This is an amazing hotel with an amazing staff. We were greeted and assisted with everything upon our arrival (check-in, bags, etc.) and everyone was very hospitable. The rooms are comfortable and are always clean. We did not use the rooftop pool, but the views were stunning from there (we could see the Acropolis), where they also have a restaurant and a bar. We ate at the restaurant and hung out at the bar some nights which was nice (good food and drinks), but be prepared to pay top hotel prices. The location of the hotel is convenient - it is right across from Syntagma Square, a popular meeting place for many scheduled activities. We also felt we could easily access surrounding neighborhoods, restaurants, and bars by walking from the hotel. Overall a great place to stay!From$323

Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄
The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic.
All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.From$324

This is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didn’t grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you weren’t being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I can’t remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us From$106

Excellent value for money hotel in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from Athens’ most visited spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. No tea/coffee making facilities but I don’t know if that’s normal in Athens, but there is a fridge and great air conditioning. Then roof top bar in their sister hotel Plaka is well worth a visit. The hotel is in a great location! The sanitary conditions must be good! The service is also attentive! Will recommend to friends in the future! The front desk said that Ctrip’s price was the worst, so I had to pay more! The second night added 130 euros.
It is recommended that Ctrip make the prices more accurate in the future and introduce the rooms in more detail! For example, if we need a bathtub, we should clearly mark it so that we don’t have to be embarrassed when we get to the hotel! !From$249

The room we stayed in was very large and beautiful. The staff was friendly and readily available around the clock. We stayed in a room with an acropolis view and it was nice to hang out on the balcony and look out after sunset. This hotel is very accessible to most things and the bus stop is right across the street in case you want to wander a little further. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby walking distance with late hours. There are a few major shopping streets right around the corner as well. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Athens in the future. From$274

Hotel is OK. '5 star' in the sense it has all of the amenities required by the city to make it a 5 star but this is not a 5 star in terms of service, modern facilities etc. If you are expecting a 4 star, it is good for the price paid. Pros - roof terrace, bedrooms have quality furnishings, bathroom well appointed Cons - breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo, with very little in terms of variety, fresh fruit etc. Air conditioning barely works. They say it is by design - it is actually because the air con was installed in the 80s probably and has never had the gas changed I suspect. They do not like using the outdoor seating on the roof terrace restaurant side at breakfast. No idea why. Perhaps was just the time of year I was there. 'Gym' is down the block. Literally you have to leave the hotel and walk down a road to use it. Anyway - decent value, would stay again, but you need to know what you are getting.From$158

Stayed for 5 nights, the location is perfect as there is a metro station right outside the hotel, which will take you to most of the major tourist sites. The hop on hop off bus stops right outside the hotel also, so if you are a tourist it's easy to get around from the hotel. As four ladies alone, we felt very safe and would get taxi's to and from hotel to go out in the evenings, which the helpful staff are happy to book for you. The breakfast is brilliant with lots of choices so you never get bored. We stayed in a standard room which was small but perfectly formed, with lovely decor and all the amenities you will need. The best thing about this hotel is the amazing rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Our taxi driver from the airport told us it was amazing and many locals will go there particularly at the weekends. Staff are so friendly especially Denisa our lovely waitress, food and drinks are varied and very nice. I would stay here again if I'm coming to Athens.From$130

We spent 5 days at the hotel with a group of 15 university students. Due to Covid, and flight delays, and restaurant problems, and lost passports... let's just say it was a challenge. They helped me with charging my phone at the reception when I didn’t have a Euro compatible charger. The rooms are spacious and nice, the bedding and bathroom towels were not spotlessly clean, which was a bit disappointing. The tv didn’t work consistently and had to be set up but didn’t work even after that. They provided all toiletries, a hairdryer and an iron if requested. Fabulous breakfast in the rooftop, fantastic view of the Acropolis and the surrounding area. It’s neatly serviced by buses, tram and taxis just a minute away from the hotel

|2.82km from MinaWe needed a place to stay for our family of 8 before getting to Athens airport so we booked online 2 rooms. 1 of the room was renovated but the other one looked Iike I was back in 1980. There were 2 bedrooms with space for 5 to sleep. 1 and 1/2 bath. Shower was clean and modern but everything else was old and outdated. There was a huge terrace but unable to open doors in the 2 bedrooms. Very noisy street but the AC noise covers the sounds. The view on the water is nice and there were chairs to sit on the patio. There was a good romantic restaurant walking distance. The neighborhood is not very exciting but appeared safe. The front desk employees were extremely nice and there was an elevator and a clean stairway opened to walk upstairs. I will definitely not return. Thankfully I only spent a few hours there. The place was actually clean with no insects or cockroaches which we had in the hotel we stayed the night before.

We have visited the hotel three times and this year they decided to take out the day dish something that disappointed us .... also while the restaurant has very good menu is not child-friendly not let them put a pasta with chips something simpler ..... The windows looking out sure would like to change but Not important, we were all day out ...Sure at night the bass sounds from the club but it's not as much as it prevents you from sleep ... but it sounds .... from there it's in a place with transportation everywhere ....in general Lines, etc. 4/5 Only ct can't eat there because it's not child-friendly ... also they took out the day dish that was plus last year and thirdly the bass sometimes is annoying from the shop next to ....cat but I've been there three times and I'll Go back sure ... again one good thing to girls in the reception because they're wonderful friendly and you've served

The breakfast was plentiful, staff again done a great job. It was a very busy As it’s a conference Hotel really. However that didn’t mean that it was bad. The pool was mostly quiet. And spotless clean as was the whole hotel. Heard some say it was far away from city. For us we didn’t think so, it was literally a 15 minute walk right to the centre, however if you cross the very busy road, your literally among some great non touristy restaurants and cafes. I never felt the staff or the policy of the hotel was to attempt to get money from you for extras, everyone was very integrity minded. My only slight gripe was that the maid service was a bit inconsistent, so the room wasn’t made up to the same standard each day. However I mentioned it to the reception and received a letter and bottle of wine, which wasn’t expected but appreciated. On a plus the rooms are huge, with a nice sitting area and large bathroom. Only other thing. As we book four rooms for 5 nights , and our flight was leaving late and we needed a room to stay later, I felt the 117 euros for late checkout was a bit steep and as we had booked the four rooms I think they could have gave us a bigger discount than have the room rate , as is their policy obviously. Other than that. It was a great hotel considering its massive size. Would definitely recommend. It’s not Dubai 5 star so if that’s what you expect you will be discounted. However it’s very good and very genuine, spotless clean and great staff.
