Unique food, impeccable service! I attended a large dinner in the ballroom. The chandeliers and lighting in the room created a beautiful atmosphere. The servers were kind and attentive. Main course was a unique aubergine dish - something out of the ordinary - and it was wonderfully prepared. Fantastic hotel !! Stayed for 2 nights for my husband's 60th birthday. We had a classic double room which was spacious with a large double bed , mini bar , tea/ coffee, hair dryer and plenty of storage for cases and hanging space for clothes. Absolutely spotlessly clean , lovely bathroom with big fluffy towels. Fresh milk and a large bottle of still water were left each day , and a suprise on my husband's birthday when we returned from our day out to a selection of cakes which was lovely. The food was good and the service from all the staff was exceptional. Easy to walk in to town and also great having secure reserved parking at the hotel . Room #904. Parking was provided (limited availability, but no problem if you check in early). Nice room, but noisy bunch of young people partying below us that evening and night, but I appreciate that can't be helped while the May VIII's are racing on the river (Bumps).
We had some friends join us for supper in ”Keepers' restaurant and bar and were repeatedly hurried by the waitress to get our order in before 8:40pm ”because 9pm is when the chef goes home”. Well it didn't need a 'chef' truly, but the food was acceptable and reasonably priced at £120 for 4 including drinks. No chance of pud though, unless you had ordered it before the watershed. We had bought our own birthday cake, so we had that instead. I can't think of any other European countries where this would happen...
We asked if we could leave our car in situ for a few hours after we checked out the following morning and we were accommodated with grace, which was very kind. A well-situated establishment, we paid £150 for the night for a double room in the new block.FromPLN 721

The hotel is located in a convenient location where we can easily commute around the city centre and the Bicester village. Sadia was really nice and helpful. She greeted us with a warm welcome. We stayed just one night to meet family members for dinner in Oxford.
It is very well located for the city cetre. Despite that, it is in a quiet location and we had a good night's rest in a small but comfortable room.
It lacks the range of facilites that you may want for a long stay. For example, it has no lounge, restaurant or lifts, which is the only reason I could not give 5 /5 for facilites. What facitlities is does have are good: in room tea and coffee making, television, radio and WiFi. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We came by car and used the Park and Ride system, which is excellent. Oxford bus services are good. The hotel is also only a short taxi ride from the station if you go by train.
The hotel was ideal for a short stay and we will use it again. FromPLN 724

During the summer vacation, the prices are favorable, the rooms are all of the same standard size, and the prices vary depending on the view. Clean and hygienic, not big, but practical. I saw that the price in September is quite expensive, costing 3K.
It is very close to the Westgate Shopping Center in Oxford and is very convenient for all kinds of food. It is also very convenient to reach various colleges in Oxford within walking distance.
The breakfast at the hotel is very good. In addition to the various delicacies on display, you can also ask the waiter for some freshly made omelet egg rolls, which taste better than Hilton hotels. Produced by Marriott, the quality is assured.FromPLN 724

Amazing find just beautiful! We came for the night as a little family hen do. My mum, sister and niece came Saturday afternoon and stayed till Sunday. EVERYONE was so welcoming helpful and polite. Our rooms were amazing with everything you needed. We had a balcony overlooking the grounds to the the river Thames. Nice and clean with really comfy beds. We used the pool and steam room Saturday afternoon unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working and had been drained but didn’t stop us relaxing. Our dinner Saturday night in Napiers was delicious! Our waitress Abby was polite, chatty and lovely to chat to. She was really helpful. Breakfast was awesome! And great that you could take a coffee away with you in the disposable cups provided. On a recent visit to Oxford I decided to stay in one of the prison cells at the Malmaison Oxford which was a former prison. It was a great decision as the rooms were indeed cells and still have the steel doors and brick walls to prove it. Everything else is completely modern with a large bathroom and nice working area. The location in what is actually part of Oxford Castle is within easy walking distance of most of Oxford's main attractions including the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Library and the principal colleges as well as the Westgate Mall. The hotel has a lot of nice modern art, much of it with a prison motif, albeit tongue-in-cheek. The staff is young and friendly and the clientele is quite mixed. I saw a Ford Focus parked beside a Ferrari. The dining room and bar are quite small at first glance until you realize there are many side rooms into what were once cells. The full English breakfast was great, but for dinner we went to some of the nearby pubs and the small Italian restaurant Prezzo which literally right next door. My only complaint was that the internet in the rooms is spotty, no doubt because of the thick walls and steel doors. But it works fine everywhere else. I use many different hotels on a monthly basis however this was my first visit at this hotel. I want to congratulate the team at holiday inn Oxford as I had an enjoyable stay and everything was clean and tidy. I was greeted with a warm welcome and although the hotel was busy the staff were very accommodating.The bar staff were very friendly but I would like to especially mention Lauren who served me with a smile and was very efficient considering how busy the bar was. I really like travelodge, would come here over and over again. Clean Lilly white towels. My room was warm enough and not too cold. They had turned on the heater before I've arrived. Returned from 4 night stay at Hawkwell House Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. To begin with I booked direct with the hotel, not wanting the corporate Mecure website and got exactly what I wanted... great customer service. Chavi was extremely helpful. The hotel itself is well situated, about 10-15 minutes on bus to Oxford City Centre (stop on Iffley turn). The hotel was clean, staff friendly, food good for both breakfast (good choice) and evening. We ate in the bar twice. Only a couple of possible notes of potential improvement. It would be handy to have a note in the room to remind guests of meal times (breakfast). I realise most paper was removed under Covid but there was an Oxfordshire brochure. Perhaps something to program into the TV? Similar to another review, a water pump type noise would come on in our room in the early hours of the morning. This sounded like the air con/heater and whilst not major it may need investigating. It's similar to work's and we didn't need to use anyway but perhaps instructions may be beneficial for guests? We just stayed for the one night in two rooms , one with an en-suite, but would have been more than happy to stay longer. This is a beautiful building but the low ceilings and narrow stairs might be a problem for some people. The listing on TripAdvisor is a bit misleading as no breakfast is included (we were made aware of this when booking) Would definitely recommend. (Unless your a bit tall and clumsy!!)

Bathroom was nice and towels were fluffy! The little extras like bottled water, hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch. The location was great...very close to the train station, which was the deciding factor to book this hotel. We were not disappointed! Desk was unmanned, had to buzz to get staff over road from their “ sister “ hotel. They seemed disinterested. Little local knowledge. Walls paper thin. When i left in the morning , I walked out into a building site - the whole section , including the front door , had been sectioned off workmen - who shouted at me for not wearing a hard-hat 😂 would have been nice to get a heads up from the hotel this was happening. You get what you pay for , and this was cheap , but I won’t be staying again. Recommend avoiding

The room (8 bed female dorm) was super spacious, and it was great to have power sockets and a light for each bed. Hostel was clean, showers were nice, but one of the toilets always seemed to have an issue with flushing (toilet within shower room by dorm 7). Kitchen was small but seemed like it had everything you'd need if you wanted to cook. Movie room was small but cosy. Great location, 5 mins from train station and easy walk to main attractions.

After confirming the new price, it was clearly confirmed on ***********. The hotel clearly ignore these confirmations because they downgraded me to a classic, but left *********** to charge me the higher price. Hotel not interested, everyone else’s fault. No apology, no compensation. *********** had to contact the hotel and correct the price again. Access code arrived less than 3 hours prior to check-in, which was the first I knew of my downgrade. Classic rooms are OK but very noisy if you’re at the back. Sink plug broken, poor ventilation, good Wi-Fi, clean and comfortable bed. Stayed 2 nights but after first night, no housekeeping, no clean cups, no new toiletries and bottles of water. They have clearly, following the decision to sell, given up. If you haven’t booked already, or have a flexible booking, you might wish to do the same.

But once you've climbed them, there's a friendly face and our room about 2 feet away. And what a lovely room, quirky and overlooking the Broad, which is now traffic free. The bathroom is small but well fitted. My wife and I thought the shower was the best we have encountered in a hotel, with a door that shuts properly so the bathroom doesn't get soaked. And the towels were soft and fresh. There is no breakfast or dining area which we knew. But our stay was comfortable and the location was perfect for us.

It is a bit noisy at night, the front desk service is very good, help with luggage, and it is very warm. Temporary check-in is a good choice for catching a train or catching a car!

The room was clean and tidy, but the faucet was leaking, and the chandelier inside was also bad. There was a door in the room that could not be closed. But in general, the price is reasonable, the location is convenient, two minutes walk to the city center, the train station is less than ten minutes, but the hotel entrance is very small, on the street, you must carefully look at the signs posted at the door to find, service staff Is a little brother, very good attitude, but also help with luggage.
