The location and environment are impeccable, and I have to say a few more words about the food and service. Since we arrived after 9pm, the French meal that ended at 10pm was not suitable, so the waiter introduced us to the international fusion cuisine opposite. The taste was good and met our expectations, but the variety was a little less. Diago at the front desk is what I want to introduce today. We are a family of three traveling, and I booked a room in my husband's name and my own name. That Diago actually asked a strange question, ”Are you three staying in one room?” I just thought he was not proficient in business and didn't care. Then he said that the single room I booked was queen size and he helped me upgrade it to king size. He also said that the double room I booked was also a queen size bed. I showed him the order, ”1.81 meters big bed”, he still insisted that it was a queen size. My husband also said that other people's king size might be 2.00 meters. I asked if he could also help me upgrade to king size, and he readily agreed. We thanked him. Walking into the room, the small window saw other people's roofs and a road. Where is my view? I went downstairs to argue with Diago. The 1.81-meter bed I booked is already a king size, but you didn’t upgrade it for me. I booked a room with a view, so what about the view? Diago said that 1.81 meters refers to the length of the bed. I asked him in return if the 1.51-meter and 1.31-meter beds provided by the hotel also refer to the length? Until then, I still thought he was not proficient in his business. Diago was speechless and said that I would go and ask. When he came back, he argued that the room I gave you was bigger, but what I wanted was the view! I said that the view was my first consideration and the room size ranked second. Diago hesitated for a long time before saying that there was no room with a view tonight, ”What?!” At this time, I firmly believed that his previous series of actions were intentional! As compensation, Diago gave me a simple breakfast for two people in the fourth-floor lounge for free the next day. To be honest, the breakfast was really average.

The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is an iconic landmark in Ottawa, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and charm. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the hotel to uncover its rich heritage. Adding a unique touch to the experience is Stewart, the hotel's beloved canine ambassador. This friendly black Labrador retriever, once trained as a guide dog, now welcomes guests and has even inspired a children's book series titled ”Stewart: King of the Castle”. The hotel features a beautiful indoor pool with a classic, historical ambiance, making it a serene retreat after a day of exploration. Its prime location places you steps away from Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and the bustling ByWard Market, with museums and other major attractions within easy walking distance. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier delivers an exceptional and memorable stay.

Generally speaking, the water pressure of the shower in the bath is not large, and it is uncomfortable to wash! If the price can be under a thousand dollars, it can still account for a high cost performance. The location is not bad, very close to the University of Ottawa, not far from a few Chinese restaurants (you can find it on the map) The lobby is very small, and the parking garage is small and expensive 🥲 But Ctrip is good because they don't have I updated the booking information and wrote the paid parking as free, so in order to apologize, I paid the full parking fee for two days, Ctrip, the role model in the China travel app!

The hotel has very good service and is connected to the shopping mall corridor and basement; it is a bit like Shenzhen Luohu MixC and Grand Hyatt, but the overall popularity and quality are lower. Especially you can overlook Parliament Hill, Ottawa City Hall, Ottawa Art Gallery, the castle hotel Fairmont... I thought not to stay in a too old hotel, I guess Fairmont is not practical, and the windows are small, so I chose Westin; but it was also very scary, the toilet backflowed, and all the feces and urine backed into the bathtub 🛁[Holding the wall R] Finally, the video, be careful to click, it's too disgusting 🤢. Fortunately, the hotel responded quickly and quickly changed the room. Otherwise, on a snowy night, I really don’t know what to do! By the way, I called Ctrip customer service, but no one answered

This experience was amazing! When checking in, the front desk staff was very considerate and paid to upgrade to a view room overlooking Capitol Hill. As night fell, the century-old flame in the distance burned quietly, and the warm yellow halo was particularly moving in the night. The Rideau Canal was full of ice skating enthusiasts. In the room, you can see this beautiful scene of movement and stillness without leaving the room. This stay experience is super great!

We stayed one night right in the heart of the Byword Market in Ottawa and really loved it. My only complaint is the cost of parking- $35/night. A little steep. But it seems parking in Ottawa is costly. Other than that, I really enjoyed how great the room was. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel the night before our wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, just what we needed before the big day. The valet service was quick and efficient, though it’s good to know there is a $44 charge per night. Overall, everything felt smooth and well taken care of, and we’re glad we chose to stay there for such a special moment.

The location is excellent, close to shopping malls, supermarkets, Chinese restaurants, and tourist attractions. Room cleanliness was average, with noticeable dust on the sofa and table, and noticeable water stains on the bathroom and kitchenware. The room was well-equipped with appliances and a good size, making it very comfortable for families. However, the soundproofing wasn't very good, with frequent car sirens and sirens, which might be a bit noisy for those with trouble sleeping. If you want to cook, the kitchen doesn't have oil or seasonings, so you'll need to bring your own. Both the front desk and room service were excellent. I would recommend this hotel to families traveling with children.
- Anonymous User
Counter service was a bit meh, but take it as entrance fee to a really great room. Room was more like apartment - living and dining area, kitchen, bedroom and even a laundry and dryer room. Location was also convenient, just behind the mall and morning market area and if you are up to it, you could take a walk to the Parliament hill and its surrounding area as well.

A short walk from Parliament Station, the Sheraton gave us a spacious room. However, there was no kettle to boil water for tea - we used the coffee maker instead. There was some kind of problem with the pipes in the wall, meaning a shopvac had to be left running in the hallway outside our room 24hr/d. The carpet in our closet next to the bathroom was always soaked, probably because of the problem. Perhaps because it was near Centretown, we had one or two homeless or disturbed people on the sidewalks near the hotel. This made it uncomfortable for me to approach with my children because of their random mutterings and throwing of drink bottles. However this only happened twice during our weeklong stay. Staff were very friendly, nice and helpful, and sharply dressed.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, and the location was perfect. The breakfast spread was also quite tasty. I will certainly return during my next visit.

During this trip, I went to Ottawa twice. The second time, I specifically booked a supposedly better hotel in the city center. It actually fell short of my expectations. The room was small, and so was the bed. The air conditioner was one of those wall-mounted units, and it was very noisy. Because the cold air came from the corner, the cooling effect wasn't great. The location was decent, though it was a bit of a walk to Parliament Hill (not as close as I had heard).

Excellent location, right next to the Parliament. Parking is a bit inconvenient, but opting for valet parking is only $15 more than self-parking and incredibly convenient; they even help bring your luggage to the room. The housekeeping staff were all exceptionally friendly. This hotel exceeded my expectations, so I'm giving it a perfect score.

The room was very big. We arrived at the hotel at around 10:30 in the morning and were allowed to move in as soon as there was a room. You need to ask the front desk for slippers and toothbrushes. The breakfast buffet was very poor and it is not recommended to add it. Let's eat at McDonald's outside. The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to Capitol Hill.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel in the heart of downtown Ottawa. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, willing to bend over backwards to make your stay a pleasant one. The rooms are surprisingly large, and even though they are oddly laid out (this must have been an apartment building at some time in its past) and the style is not at all modern, they are clean and have virtually everything you could possibly need, with extensive balconies showcasing some of the best of the city. The continental breakfast offerings are some of the best I've ever had; fresh. plentiful, varied, tasty, and available for a reasonable duration of time every morning. There is even parking onsite; the only drawback is that it's paid parking, and not cheap at that, but considering its location it's some of the best prices in the city. I have been twice now and I will come back as often as I can!

I ordered the most common kind of house at the time. The hotel is located in downtown, which is super convenient! You can punch in some downtown delicacies on foot. The little sisters and brothers at the front desk are very good, and the key point is that I did not have this credit card at the time, and this shop does not need to provide it! The size of the room is smaller than that I have lived in before, but it's enough! Clean, tidy and warm.
