A good stay in a location close to ferry terminal and railway stations. Plenty of restaurants around both on the more expensive sea front or a few streets inland. Bruno & Enzos Pizzeria at €6 a pizza is a great place. Take the cable car up to Monte Faito for stunning views of Vesuvius, Sorrento and Capri. Ferry to Sorrento is €4. Train connections to Pompei and Ercolano. Room clean and spacious, basic continental breakfast. Breakfast view is amazing but seems tour groups get sitting priority. Also be aware that on Friday and Saturday evening there was a function on rooftop bar until 11pm with loud music. Castellammare is nowhere near as pretty as Sorrento but with its proximity to the major attractions and reasonable price its worth considering.

A very mixed stay. The hotel is well located, but several advertised amenities are lacking (non-existent gym, non-existent tennis, non-existent massages). Furthermore, the restaurant and outdoor pool were not actually accessible during our stay. Furthermore, a rooftop party took place without any prior warning, which greatly disrupted our peace and quiet.
The on-site team was friendly, but I regret the lack of information and the discrepancy between the description on the website and the reality. It's a real shame, because the hotel has potential.
