Location was great for visiting family in the area. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful & the breakfast was pretty good.
The room, however, was poorly cleaned & maintained. Bathroom door had screws sticking out of the door jam & had to expand forced closed. Cigarette burns in furniture in a non smoking room, hair on the bathroom floor, lip gloss smeared on the wallpaper, crumbs & sticky stuff in the drawers by the microwave, mini fridge didn't work well & we found a Cigarette butt on the floor by the bed as well as other ”smoking” garbage. It was obvious that if the room had been cleaned it hadn't been done properly. Indoor pool also has issues...the pool light is literally just set on the concrete at the side of the pool with wires going into the water, the entire pool room was musty & moldy smelling & the water was somewhat cloudy. Overall not a terrible stay for the price, but not as nice as it could/should have been.

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel after reading some of the reviews. It was clean, and the desk help went out of her way to check us in quite early.The room was updated,and breakfast was a nice variety of foods.

Suitable for children. The quality hotel is a large chain in the United States. The facilities are standardized. The hotel generally has a small swimming pool and the service attitude is very good.

Just returned from a 3 night stay with my daughter at the Castle Inn Hotel Keswick
The location is great, perfect for walking, and they have free onsite parking.
Rooms were clean, comfy & cosy.
Spa was lovely, and the sauna was much appreciated after a long day of walking.
Castle inn hotel was warm & friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Special shout out to Carl the chef. Superb man. The breakfast was really good. The dinner was exceptional. Carl recommended to me to try the steak, the best I have had. Cooked to perfection. So much so, I had one every night for the rest of my stay.

This is a historic building dating back to 1548, experienced 11 owners and is now a spa hotel
The hotel sits on a large area, with flocks of cattle and sheep in front of the door. The restaurant on the other side has a very good lake view and a large grass. Hares and squirrels often jump in the grass and woods. You can reach the lake by a small road or hike in the forest.
You can feel it from the elevator, the hotel is very old
The spa has a heated swimming pool, cold pool, hot pool, and an outdoor hot pool. It is really pleasant to face a large area of grass and woods.
The only thing to note is: check out at 11 o'clock, be sure to go to the spa before check out, after 11 o'clock to add 20 pounds per person.FromUS$332

The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the town centre, but the scenery is stunning, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The room was small but cosy, and they allow dogs for a very small extra fee, which was great. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, and the food at the partner restaurant really impressed me—it even made me fall in love with British food all over again! The window of the room is very small. On the fourth floor, it feels that the room for us is very small and very general. There is a moldy smell when entering the house. The room is generally hygienic. In terms of the price of this room, there is no price/performance ratio at all. The town is small and there is no need to live too close to the lake area. It takes two steps to get there. The parking is not good and the charge is 6 pounds. The old man is still enthusiastic and the attitude of others is average. Especially when I checked in, there was no elevator. In fact, it can be set in the vicinity of ten minutes drive no problem! Too much cost-effectiveFromUS$139
