Very nice host and experienced guide of the Aso area. Welcomed us with snacks and recommendations for meals, even roasted sweet potatoes for us because we did not plan to use the outdoor barbecue. You get free coffee or tea every day. Would definitely stay again if visiting Aso. The room is nice and big.

It is a place you’d like to stay if you are looking for an experience more then just a place to sleep. The only thing I’d recommend is to plan your day so that you arrive closer to the evening, get all the tips and recommendations and have time to follow them in the morning :)

The homestay is in a literary hall. A large complex. The room is two suites. They have bathrooms and baths. The room also has indoor and outdoor pools. The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. We played a ball in Asu. The staff asked us about several stadiums in order to find the right time. Thank you very much.

A bit outdated, but kept clean where it matters and the air conditioning unit is new, beds are comfy. Has a hot bath you can use. I think it's the only bath on the property but it's not crowded.
Harder to get to if you don't have a car. Owner was able to pick me up from uchinomaki station by calling them. But if you can't make phone calls, it would be a 25 minute walk. Better to go one stop over to Aso station where there are taxi stands. Costs 1700 yen.

It's a traditional Japanese hot spring inn with free parking at the entrance. It's a bit old, but still quite clean, and the tatami mats are very comfortable. The highlight is their Japanese cuisine, which is very rich and delicious. The only downside is that you have to share a bathroom, which is a bit unusual.

The Japanese-style room is on the side of the annex building. The yard is large and parking is easy. It's just that the room lights are very dark, including the corridors of the hotel are very dark at night, I don't know if it saves electricity. On the night of staying, it was rainy and windy, but the rain still fell the next day. Life near Mount Aso might be like this

The picturesque scenery and outdoor onsen were delightful. The stay with dinner and breakfast included was absolutely fantastic value for money. Dinner was incredibly generous, and there was a wide variety of options for breakfast too. They even provided fireworks for the kids! This onsen ryokan, right in the heart of Uchinomaki Onsen town, gets a perfect score from us! We encountered incredibly thoughtful staff and a warm taxi driver. Knowing we had to catch the JR train the next day, the front desk auntie went above and beyond to help us arrange a taxi, even standing outside anxiously waiting with us. Once the taxi arrived, she repeatedly urged the driver to speed up. The driver, a kind grandpa, even used a translator on the way to constantly reassure us that we would make it in time, and expressed his longing to visit China. This was truly the highlight of our trip.
As for the hotel itself, it's a well-established ryokan. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, each featuring an indoor onsen with direct, free-flowing hot spring water that leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth. We loved the large, traditional Japanese-style decor. There are also two private onsen that require advance booking, as well as a large public onsen. We later discovered it was even a filming location for a racing manga! Additionally, there's an outdoor foot bath.
Dining was a delightful surprise. We enjoyed Wagyu shabu-shabu, and the children's meal even included Wagyu yakiniku. Breakfast offered the famous local Mizunashi chicken dish, which completely won over my taste buds. On the first floor, there's also a preserved, old-fashioned Japanese-style reception room in the lobby, made with high-quality wood, which guests can visit.FromVND 6,710,038

Great dinner that you much purchase together with room stay! Private hot springs on first come first serve which we enjoy very much. As tourist, we also enjoyed the Japanese room. Also very good breakfast with fruits choice from the region. Will definitely stay again in next visit to ASO. P.S. we missed the Mount ASO Smoke Observation Park on the first day as they stop visitor from 4pm. Small compact room with modern interior. Comfy bed and well ventilated with mini fan provided. They provided extra bedsheet so that the sofa bed is converted to another single. Big enuf for a teenager to sleep on. Space big enough to open just one huge luggage. Somehow the room feels damp but we just stayed for two nights so did not bother changing rooms. I love this camp.
the location is easy to travel to any other tourist spot , it is on the opposit conor of aso station, there is Lawson on the opposit as well. The camp is lovely both interior or exterior, the living room, the toilet, the shower are clean, the kitchen is lovely you can cook but you have ro clean them by yourself. The room are cheap but very clean.the staff are so nice.

The guesthouse is fantastic! While its location might be a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car, as it's quite a distance from the train station, both the rooms and the hot spring baths are very comfortable. They also provide washing machines and vending machines (laundry pods/detergent cost extra). The guesthouse staff offered excellent service; the next day, when I couldn't find a bus, they even drove me directly to the station. I'm truly grateful for that! This inn was amazing! We even added an extra night. Our room had a view of Mount Aso, and dinner was a BBQ with Japanese side dishes. The innkeepers, a loving couple, were incredibly attentive and caring, especially considering we had a child. The four private hot springs, each with its own unique style, were fantastic. This small inn had everything you could need, with impeccable attention to detail and impeccable cleanliness. Even the slippers we wore each day were labeled with the guests' room names.
