I had a terrific four night stay at the Ace in Kyoto. The building design is stunning and set the vibe for the entire stay. The front desk staff were so friendly and so helpful with my many questions and requests. The room was spacious and well stocked with whatever you needed. The soaking tub was the prefect way to recover after a day running around Kyoto. I'm vegan, and the restaurants made sure I had plenty of delicious food to eat. The hotel centrally located within Kyoto, and right above a mall that had some great shopping. I recommend the Ace and look forward to returning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tokyo Stay Kyoto Sanjo Karasuma during my visit to Kyoto, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel's prime location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient for exploring the various attractions and immersing myself in the local culture. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff at the reception. They provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The staff members were consistently helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. The room I stayed in was cozy, comfortable, and well-appointed. Despite being compact, it offered ample space for a solo traveler like myself. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities were modern and well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable.

Don’t be deter by the photo thinking that you need to take the staircase to your accommodation, you access the unit by the lift at the back of this building. Value for money due to it great location, just a few walk to the metro station and walking distance to few places of interest, Nishiki Market, Yasaka-jinja Shrine, Gion (10 to 20 mins). Self-contained unit, very comfortable beds, lot of space for bags. It is a surrounded by supermarket, convenience stores and eatery. There is also locker to store your luggage at 300 yen after check out since there no reception area.

Service: Excellent service from hotel staff, spoke English, accommodating, helpful and cheerful. Location : Quiet area, right next to a train station exit, convenient location. It is close to Kyoto Station by taxi ( approx 5-10 mins), located at an intersection and was easy to grab a taxi. It is not located that close to the main Kyoto shopping street, but it's just a peaceful 5-10 minutes walk away from the main stretch of shopping and food areas. Great to explore the quiet side of Kyoto. Lawson mart just opposite, the quiet lane opposite had lots of quaint cafes and bakeries. What a wonderful find just walking through the little lanes opposite. Away from tourists crowds, immersed in local Kyoto city vibes. Room style and space: Room furnishing decor colours were so soothing, stylish pale sage greens, light cream and oak, modern and pleasant , light cream tones. Fantastic huge single beds and pillows, fluffy and clean pillows, huge sofa, strong showers from rain shower in bathroom. Loved every corner in my corner room. Spacious work desk at the corner, perfect for a working business trip. The balcony flanked the entire room length.. absolutely wonderful.. sat outside on the balcony and people watched. Bathroom amenities and products included face and body moisturizers, combs etc, all wrapped in classic stylish Japanese style. Perks: We received daily vouchers which we could use for lounge cocktail hour (free flow great selections of wines, beers, sake, hot drinks etc drinks and snacks) or for high tea set in the lounge area. The lounge area was so cozy. Wonderful vibes. High tea set was amazing, provided by famous patissierie that's located in the hotel lobby. Wonderful chill experience just before we head out for daily dinners. Facilities: We checked out the mist room and onsen.. so clean and stylish. Felt like we were at a W hotel. Overall super fantastic experience, wonderful ambience, rooms were new, stylish and cleanliness was top notch. Property itself is very new and modern. Perfect for solo or couples. Very quiet (some traffic noise, but not a big deal), peaceful neighborhood, chic furnishings. I loved my stay in Nov so much, I will stay again in future. Downside: The rooms face a few offices opposite, windows are not coated with opaque film.. so just be aware and not walk around underdressed in the room in full view of opposite buildings. Windows are definitely see through! Nothing the day curtains can't fix.

This time I was a very good stay at Cospa because I was staying at 11,000 yen in twins in the open campaign, despite the autumn leaves season. It is located along the road from the main street immediately from KARASUMA Oike station, exit 1, so if you look at the map in advance, you will not be lost first. However, this exit 1 was a staircase. If it is a big luggage, the woman may be hard. The hotel is new but a business hotel. The room signed up was unexpectedly ”small!” (laughs) The toilet was a unit bus. It was small but the amenities were great. I'm sorry for this price. I think women are happy, such as basic cosmetics (pauches) and wet cloth attached to their feet. There was a free PET bottle 1 in the refrigerator. There was a coffee machine in the lobby and it was very good to be able to drink at any time. When I visited, it was very cold, so I was grateful for this coffee. And I was happy that the bathing agent was able to choose my preference. Breakfast is also from bread to rice, aunt, curry, the staff is good, and the cospa is good for the accommodation fee, and I'm really sorry... (laughter) The taste was good (I'm sorry) The staff at the front desk felt good for the person I responded. What was unfortunate was that the cleaning was sweet. Black furniture or a little store? There is a place, but I was worried because the dust was conspicuous. And there was a coffee can in the refrigerator that the person in front of me drank. Because the refrigerator is at the foot, it was on the top stage that was overlooked by opening the door and looking inside. If you drop the chitin and the waist and check it, you can find it immediately ... Overall, I was satisfied with the amount and cost-effectiveness I paid. It was a hotel that I wanted to revisit depending on the price and purpose of use.

We really enjoyed our family stay (6 nights) at the Hiramatsu Kyoto. The room and food were great but what made it an amazing experience was the staff. Everyone was very kind, attentive, helpful and patient. The food was great and we enjoyed different breakfast menu everyday. Specially, we loved the miso fish and vegetables at the Izumi and the risotto at the Luce. Also, they had a Kids course that considering my son food restrictions, and he really enjoyed. The room was gorgeous, new and spacious. We had more than enough space for a family of three. Finally, as our first trip since the beginning of the pandemic, we were keen to avoid crowded restaurants and ensure social distance. The staff was very understanding and they accommodated such request so we could enjoy the delicious food without concerns. Special thanks for Sophie that started helping us even before our reservation. We really enjoyed our stay, so we highly recommend this hotel.

1. The location of the homestay is very good. It is located in the core area. It is very close to every scenic spot. The bus stop at the door is very close to Kiyomizu Temple. Of course, no matter how convenient it is, it is not as convenient as staying at Kyoto JR Station. 2. The manager of the hotel is warm and thoughtful and gave detailed check-in tips before check-in. 3. Because the homestay is a wooden structure, living in two bedrooms in the north and south, you can clearly hear the sound of people snoring in the other bedroom, and the sound insulation effect is poor. 4. There is no place to have breakfast nearby, so I had to buy some sandwiches at the convenience store. For dinner, there is a restaurant nearby. 5. The homestay is located in the middle of two tall buildings, the horizontal width is less than 4 meters, the long strip structure, there are no windows on the east and west sides, the lighting is poor, and it is not very bright. 6. The leather slippers used in the homestay are very slippery and very large in size, making it inconvenient to go up and down the stairs. It is recommended to change to plastic slippers, everyone feels good, and it is recommended to change the toothbrush to a different color to avoid confusion. 7. It is recommended to install a mirror on the second floor so that the second floor is ok. Someone washes it. Otherwise, it is inconvenient to wash all in the bathroom on the first floor. Generally speaking, in order to experience the Japanese lifestyle, I gave this homestay 80 points. Although there are still some areas that need improvement, the overall experience of staying in is ok. It is a bit exaggerated to say that it is a luxury villa.

It faces a big street, but it is quite quiet at night. There was no downtown area around and I was able to relax. It would have been better if there were reasonable restaurants around. There are many convenience stores, so it is not inconvenient. The hotel feels a bit old, but it is clean. I think it's not a bad hotel. The rest is within walking distance to Sanjo, so I wonder if it's convenient. Is it worth taking a walk? Shopping, eating and drinking, entertainment, and satisfaction.

The hotel has a central location, with good food and different hairdryers in the surrounding area. The room was very small and was very small and was very small and was very small and very small and very small and very small and very small and very small. The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable and very comfortable. The toys were available in the lobby, supposedly for ecological reasons but probably for lack of space. The breakfast was basically eastern style, although, unlike other hotels, it also offered a buffet option, with some fibers, croissants, au chocolate bread and dips to swallow. The staff were right in their treatment. I emphasise the friendliness and efficiency of the staff of the reception room. In the same room, the restaurant works, which closes at 20.30. No room service.

Situated around 300m from the metro station, the hotel is a modern, clean and handy base to tour the city. Bear in mind that very few hotels in Japan offer family rooms, you will typically be in adjacent double or twin rooms - so be sure to ask. The hotel reception is to the left of the entrance as you walk in and the whole check in process took less than 5 mins. Be aware that very few allow early check in, but they will safely store your bags whilst you go for a wander around the city. The rooms have all the usual mod cons. TV, direct dial phone, aircon, hairdryer, fridge with freezer, pyjamas and desk. The one thing we really liked was the quality and quantity of toiletries - they were a highlight. The soaps, shampoos etc were a delight. Free razors, tooth and hairbrushes were also available. The beds, pillows and bedding were good quality and we all slept well. The ‘western’ Breakfast on the ground floor was a little limited and ended at an early 10am, even though it was adequate. You can also opt for a Japanese style on the floor above, but this finishes at 0930hrs Overall it was a comfortable and clean hotel which was more than adequate for our needs. Pros Close to public transport Clean and efficient Cons Limited breakfast and early finish Would we stay again? Possibly

Positive points : - The room was very spacious, well decorated, modern and clean. Access is made via a code rather than a card (no risk of losing it). - The location is ideal, just next to the station (trains, shinkansen, metro) - The staff was helpful: we left our luggage before check in to explore the city. At the time of check in, the luggage was already waiting for us in the room. The staff speaks English well. The negative points : The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable and very comfortable. - We have only seen the staff at the time of check-in, check-out is done at a bound, that makes the experience a little cold. - The water takes a lot of time to get warm in the shower.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. I stayed in a standard twin room, but I was able to spend a relaxing time in a room that was perfectly large even if I spread a large suitcase. There are also 6 coin laundry units, which is appreciated for long-term stays. It seems that a group of school excursion students was staying there, and I was worried that I could hear a slapstick noise at a fairly late time. There is also a convenience store, so it's very convenient, but it was very disturbing because a group of school excursion students was shopping and it was very crowded, and I didn't know how to use the self-checkout and was making a fuss. It was. Isn't it shifting such shopping time or the school side manages it? Apart from that, I was able to spend comfortably without any problems.

We stayed for 5 nights at Richmond Premier Kyoto Shijo. The hotel has a clean zen-like modern look. Location-wise, it is at the quieter side of Shijo, the east side, which is closer to the Hankyu Karasuma station. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Shijo central where Daimaru is- this may or may not appeal to you. Some pros and cons: Pros- Affordable room rates Big rooms Complimentary drinks (not alcoholic) for guests from 1-8pm everyday at the breakfast area. Laundromat with 6 washer-dryer machines Self serve amenities at the elevator at night Helpful hotel staff Cons- Aircon/heater doesn’t balance right between heating and cooling resulting in uncomfortable, dry, cold temperatures at times Walls are a little thinner so a noisy neighbor above or next room can be heard Overall, we had a good stay.

We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. It is not recommended for guests with more luggage or large boxes: First, because the homestay is located in the scenic area of two years and three years, tourists are like weaving during the day, and taxis can't get in at all. You need to drag your suitcase and walk a long uphill and downhill stone road and steps to find a place to live; Second, it is because it is difficult to call the car after checking out. You need to drag your suitcase through the woven stone street to the main road far away to take a taxi... Of course, for guests who have no luggage or less luggage, you may wish to experience the feeling of an old room for one night.

This is a modern minimalistic boutique hotel that we enjoyed! The design of the hotel has zen elements (the creative zen garden layed vertically against the wall) that I really loved. The room itself is more of a wooden theme that is cozy and relatively spacious for Japanese hotel standard. There is sufficient space to lay the luggages and also to sit (a luxury in most Japanese hotels). However, the hotel is slightly further from kyoto station and require some walking (which is inconvenient for lugging the luggages as the pavement is bumpy). Also the hotel is situated beside a road and near a hotel, sometimes at night we could hear the ambulance sirens which may be a problem for light sleepers. However, really enjoyed the hotel's own bath house which looks very new and clean. It is equipped with dyson hair dryers and you can have free ice cream popsicles after your bath! A great way to end a tiring day full of walking in Kyoto :)

It arrived around 21 o'clock with a plan that can be in from 18:00, and it was in a state that it was not connected unless it called a lot by the phone to the front desk. When I finally thought I was connected, it took a while to confirm the reservation and the waiting time at the entrance was long, so check-in was not smooth. It was the beginning of the year, so I might have been busy, but I wanted you to improve a little more. The room is neither good nor bad. The bath was a bit small for two people to enter. It is reasonable for the price. The ventilation in the bathroom was not stopped, and it was cold, so I got my throat hurt because the air conditioner was fully operational. I thought it would be nice to have a humidifier. I think it's a great deal if you use it for a short time, so I think I'll use free time next time ...

There is a porch outside the door of the room, you can put a stroller, the room is very large, it is the largest we have lived in this trip, there are tatami mats to eat and drink, the bathroom is dry and wet, and the hygiene is very clean. My friend and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The staff was nice and kept our luggage for us so that we could go out and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto. First impression, the exterior looks very Kyoto-esque, and the interior has a little hint that the brand is from Thailand. We got a room on the basement floor, which at first felt a little weird, but it was nice, clean, and had a window that allowed us to see the sky and get some fresh air. There was no moldy smell at all, which was a relief. Also, we spent most of the day outside anyway. Room is as cozy as the name suggests in the booking and it is super clean. The size is standard for Japan, with a smart design that includes normal-sized luggage storage under the bed. Bed is soft and the linens are clean. Only weird thing at first was that the sink is separate from the bathroom. But on second thought, maybe that's a good thing; one person can take a shower while another can brush their teeth. The shower room has a standing shower with great pressure and temperature control, but no bathtub. The amenities smell good, and the towels are good quality. Surprise! The free WiFi internet is super fast. I was able to back up 100 photos and 10 videos with no problem. Location: The hotel is in the middle of two underground train stations, so you can get in and out easily by walking for 3-4 minutes. However, for the first day, especially when you have a lot of luggage or big oversize luggage, and if you don't want to go around crossing the street looking for escalators or elevators, it's better to take a taxi. The hotel and Kyoto station are not too far apart at all. I know that taxi rides in Japan are rumored to be expensive, but it's up to you if you want to save your bag or your back. After you are free from your luggage, you can even walk 5-8 minutes to the shopping street or even 20-30 minutes to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which we did after recovering from 10 hours of sitting at the airport and on the flight. Since Kyoto has a lot to explore and there is great food out there, even food from combini Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby, we did not try the room service or restaurant at the hotel. Sorry about that. In conclusion, this is a brand new, renovated hotel that is clean and has a nice location. I will revisit and recommend it to my family, friends, and favorite colleagues.

You can go from Kyoto Station by 1 station and take a taxi within 1000 yen. When going to the guest room area from the front desk, there is an automatic door, and it will not open unless you hold the room key, so security is also solid. The elevator is also large. The room was well cleaned, very clean and the room was large and comfortable. The bath was large, and it was not a hotel faucet that was difficult to use, but an ordinary type of easy-to-use faucet. The separate place from the toilet was also good. It was good that the amenities were substantial and there was a bath salt. Free PET bottle water, drip coffee, tea packs are also available. Since it is a new hotel, the facilities are easy to use and there are many outlets, so it was convenient. You can also watch YouTube and Netflix on TV. General hotel rooms have many dim orange lighting, but the main lighting of this hotel is white, so it was good. It was comfortable because I couldn't hear the noise in the next room, the upper floors and the corridor. You can rest assured that the large communal bath has a security card dedicated to women only. There were many kinds of breakfast buffets and it was very delicious. When I checked out, I was asked, ”Did you have any inconvenience in your room?”, but nothing was wrong. I heard about the inconvenience and thought it was to respond quickly. You can leave your baggage for free after check-out, so you can go sightseeing empty-handed. The only inconvenience I felt was ... If you are in a room near the JR track, it is far from the elevator to the room. It was difficult to walk with a heavy suitcase because it was quite fluffy floor material, probably because it was to improve the soundproofing of the corridor. Even if I walked normally, I felt tired feet walking on the sandy beach. It may be unavoidable due to the structure of the building, but it was a pity that I could hardly see the Kyoto Tower from the rooftop, but I could see the trains and Shinkansen, and the mountains 々 in the distance. Tables, chairs and benches are installed, so I think you can spend a pleasant time in spring and autumn when the climate is good. It was a very good hotel, so I would like to use it again.

When we arrived, our bags had been placed in our room (we'd sent them from our previous hotel via the takkyubin service), which was a nice touch. The room felt very small for the two of us. There was basically just enough floor space for our two futons laid out right next to each other. However, there is a large closet where they normally store the futons that we were able to use to store our luggage and other items when we rolled out the futons. The futons were very thin; I felt like I was pretty much just sleeping on the floor and it was rather uncomfortable. We got one of the private rooms so we would have our own bathroom but again, the bathroom was very small. Of course, we didn't spend a ton of time in the room anyway as we were out and about most of the time so the small space was not a dramatic downside. The neighborhood was quiet, which we liked, and the staff were very friendly. We had the western-style breakfast a couple mornings and it was quite good! All in all, it is an affordable stay in Kyoto, but I can't say that it is the most comfortable option. I would also warn that if you are looking specifically for a great ryokan experience and not just for a place to crash, this might not be the type of place you're looking for.

A wonderful hotel all around. Rooms were comfortable, though small like most Japanese hotel rooms, it still had a luxury feel to it. I especially loved the faucet/shower head controls. Very nice stay and unbeatable location!

What a fun place to stay at! We booked through *********** and stayed one night. Had a great experience. We were picked up at the train station and brought back to the ryokan where our entrance was announced with a big crash of a gong. How fun! Staff was super friendly, food was excellent and the room was comfortable and quiet. We slept on extremely comfortable futons on the floor. Went to both dinner and breakfast in the Yukatas they supplied. Really enjoyed that experience. I tried out the onsen, which was very well appointed but I didn’t stay long as I overheated. I believe the onsen to be less appealing in the summer when you’re over heated all day. But I did want to give it a go. The ryokan is super close (walking distance ) to the main shopping areas. They gave me a lift in the morning to pick up my rental car. They provided umbrellas when we were going out and they thought it might rain. Just extremely thoughtful service here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

It is located at the entrance of Buddhist temple street for about 4 minutes walk from Shijo Kawaramachi. In the cheap version of the Washington Hotel, there is no public bathhouse that cuts the service to the edge and is popular in business hotels. The room size, facilities, etc. are standard for business hotels. Bedding, toothbrushes and razors are received at the front desk. However, the quality of razors was bad and the skin was cut. It is a pity that the lighting in the room is white fluorescent color and it is cold 々 impression. This wants to improve. Check out only puts the card into the machine. Not long after the opening, the building is beautiful overall. However, I think the hair remains on the bus and the cleaning is one now. Breakfast with free is a minimum set of several kinds of warm bread and cup soup, coffee and juice. Coffee had a cup service that could be drunk in the room. The price setting of 6000 yen is a major business hotel with a price of close to 20000 yen in business, and this location, this fee, and this facility can be said to be the best level without complaint. It is recommended because the net reservation of the company becomes the cheapest.

Two people lived in a whole Japanese-style villa ~ The room was very clean and beautiful. There were bungalows and tatami style rooms. The bathroom also had a super-class automatic bathtub. There was a comment on Expedia that the general hotel photos look better than the room, but here is the opposite. I agree too much that the actual room is much better than the photo ~, but pay attention to the checkin time to make an appointment with the store, that is, the store will send an email after placing the order. The young lady who came to pick us up checkin was very cute. It was a Chinese lady who was very good in Japanese and English. ~ It felt so good. If you missed it because there was no evaluation, it would be a pity 😆.

What needs to be improved: 1. The check-in address of the house and the address of the house are not the same place, and they are far apart; for tourists who do not understand Japanese, many problems are added. When we arrived that night, we couldn't find where to check in, which caused a lot of time delay; 2. We have made an appointment for the garbage cleaning service, but we went around and came back and found that the garbage was still piled up at home, and the service was bad; 3. About the facilities: The toilet and bathroom do not have heating facilities. I contacted for a long time and brought a heating facility. Shouldn't the room facilities be checked from time to time? 4. The overall feeling is very general. Friends who are more concerned about the above issues can consider carefully.

If you tell the parking lot in advance, you will guide you to the moon pole parking lot a little on foot. The receptionist was very good and I was happy to talk carefully. Originally, because of the condominium, the stairs and corridors were renovated in the old ones and were very beautiful and fashionable. I was saved by drinking free water and coffee in PET bottles. The only thing I thought was the accumulation of dust in the ventilation filter in the dressing room. It was very dirty. I think it has not been cleaned up so far. The other parts were very beautiful! I was able to spend comfortably. I rented a bicycle to Arashiyama, but it was very helpful because it was free within 2 hours! After that, I asked about the parking lot by chat at the time of the reservation, but I was unread and eventually called myself. I think the meaning of chat? I was able to make a reservation cheaply while I thought it was not used, and it was really good to be able to spend comfortably.

Earlier this month, I stayed at Gion Misen and loved the experience. There are many new hotels in the city but Gion Misen stands out and exceeded expectations. The location is superb, on quiet and historic Shimnomzen Street, nestled among beautifully preserved wooden machiya townhouses, antique shops, galleries, and small restaurants. The staff is kind and helpful. The included breakfast was ample and delicious, including good coffee! The beautifully designed, contemporary Japanese rooms have comfortable beds, plenty of electrical outlets and good lighting. Gion Misen is ideally situated for excursions to the beautiful surrounding neighborhoods and the heart of downtown Kyoto on foot and by short taxi rides to all corners of this magnificent city. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Quietly standing in the arms of Bilao Mountain, the Yamano Food Inn has a Kyoto Station pick-up service (about 30 minutes drive) on arrival. The hotel is only 10 minutes drive from Yankee Temple. At 6 o'clock in the morning, the hotel organized a ceremony to the Buddha at Yankee Temple, and there was a shuttle bus to the temple at 9:15. The hotel serves breakfast and dinner. The menu is customized according to seasonal seasons. It is very exquisite. It integrates the food culture of Wuhu and Jinjiang with the French style. You can also taste Shiga local wine. The most intimate service on the departure day is to transport luggage to Kyoto Station for free, so that visitors can easily visit Bibu Mountain and Wuhu.
