I have read good reviews before deciding to book this hotel. It was the perfect choice. The staff is very welcoming. The amenities are provided at the hotel lobby. You are free to take what you need. The hotel is opposite Kyoto station. One particular staff stands out - Ms Kurita who provides good customer service. I am traveling with my elderly father and has difficulty walking. When the predicted typhoon in Japan, I have asked Ms Kurita for help and assistance and see what could be the best way to reach Kansai airport without any issues. She checked and said limo bus would be perfect and about 5mins away from hotel. I am impressed with her working and helpful attitude. I will book this hotel again if I come back in another season. Thanks Ms Kurita! You are a gem!! Thank you!

I used it because the deadline for the accommodation ticket I received from the company was approaching. It is very convenient in front of Hachijo Guchi, Kyoto Station. The building was compact and about 15 rooms on the 1 floor. In the room, a type of closet with a hanger on the wall, a TV incorporated into the wall, a small bathtub (no problem because I only use shower at the hotel) The contrivance for space saving was color 々. It was a little two years from the opening, so it was clean overall and there was no shortage of equipment. I didn't use it, but there was a large bath (artificial hot spring) on the first floor. There were many items for breakfast (paid Japanese buffet) and it was satisfactory.

When you leave Kyoto KARASUMA Station, the yellow and small inn sandwiched between the relatively large hotels is very conspicuous. I tried to repeat it for the first time in 10 years. The interior of the room is completely renovated and clean. I stayed in the western room twin this time as well as the last time, but the view is not bad because the huge Kyoto Station is seen in front of me. This inn is a small western room and most of them seem to be Japanese. I had a quite narrow impression without a lighting desk or table only with a twin bed. It is a unit bus, but the bathtub is large. There are two men's hot water and women's hot water in the basement. Not as big as a bath, but you can use it until 24 o'clock, so you can monopolize it alone if you go late. It's cleaner to get off the elevator and the bath on your right hand. The front desk is also like a station front inn, so it is friendly because there is no place or height of the atmosphere. Most of the guests are school excursion students, but there are many personal guests depending on the time, and they are also used overseas. Let's use the discount coupon at the front desk of Kyoto Tower. In general, it is an inn that can be stayed easily, but it is only standing in front of Kyoto Station, and the price is a little higher for the facilities.

Very nice hotel that is right beside the Kyoto main station. We stayed in the Japanese room which was very modern and well furnished. There is no shortage of dining options both inside and surrounding the hotel. Only shortcoming is for some odd reason they don't provide coffee or ceylon tea in the room.

　There was a Royal Twin Hotel Kyoto Hachijo Guchi in the place where you get off at Hachijo Guchi, Kyoto Station, and you can see it in front of you and arrive in １ minutes on foot. Because the station is right in front of you, it is very convenient to move by ＪＲ or subway or bus transfer from the bus terminal. I think the hotel was open and it was still about ２ years. New and clean, １ around the lobby on the floor was quite fashionable. There was a large bath and the congestion was confirmed on the TV in the room. It was a plan with breakfast, but the restaurant on the １ floor is bright and clean. There were many kinds of ”aunt” small dishes every day, and there were many kinds and I was full from the morning. Our rooms were small because it was an entry-class twin room, but it seems that you can choose a room with a relaxing size. The first day was １０ in the morning, and I went to the hotel and left my luggage. ３ stayed and enjoyed Kyoto where the cherry blossoms were full for ４ days, but as a base, it was a hotel that was sufficiently satisfactory.

The hotel looks dated from the outside, is very modern in the lobby with machines for checking in and out, and then the rooms are also quite dated. The hotel is quite big, and you can be unfortunate to get a room far away from the lifts. The rooms are decent and clean. The bathroom is okay, but there wasn’t much caulk next to the shower so the water from the shower that hit the wall was just sliding down underneath the bath… very strange. On each floor there is one room where you can get ice and water, it also has a vending machine.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. This hotel, which was newly completed in March 2022, wasn't very popular at the time and didn't have many recommendations from travel experts. Standard Room (2 beds) - Non-smoking Two small double beds Room size: 26 square meters / 280 square feet View: City view Free access to the lounge The hotel is located in the Shijo Karasuma area of Kyoto. It takes about 7-10 minutes on foot to reach it from Exit 24 of Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line or Karasuma Station on the Keihan Electric Railway. Although it's a bit far from the subway station, there is a bus stop near the hotel, which is relatively convenient. We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. It was my first time using it. I walked from the station. It was hard to find the place, so I found it by the sign of the cafe next door. I was asked to store my luggage before check-in. My friend and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The staff was nice and kept our luggage for us so that we could go out and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto. First impression, the exterior looks very Kyoto-esque, and the interior has a little hint that the brand is from Thailand. We got a room on the basement floor, which at first felt a little weird, but it was nice, clean, and had a window that allowed us to see the sky and get some fresh air. There was no moldy smell at all, which was a relief. Also, we spent most of the day outside anyway. Room is as cozy as the name suggests in the booking and it is super clean. The size is standard for Japan, with a smart design that includes normal-sized luggage storage under the bed. Bed is soft and the linens are clean. Only weird thing at first was that the sink is separate from the bathroom. But on second thought, maybe that's a good thing; one person can take a shower while another can brush their teeth. The shower room has a standing shower with great pressure and temperature control, but no bathtub. The amenities smell good, and the towels are good quality. Surprise! The free WiFi internet is super fast. I was able to back up 100 photos and 10 videos with no problem. Location: The hotel is in the middle of two underground train stations, so you can get in and out easily by walking for 3-4 minutes. However, for the first day, especially when you have a lot of luggage or big oversize luggage, and if you don't want to go around crossing the street looking for escalators or elevators, it's better to take a taxi. The hotel and Kyoto station are not too far apart at all. I know that taxi rides in Japan are rumored to be expensive, but it's up to you if you want to save your bag or your back. After you are free from your luggage, you can even walk 5-8 minutes to the shopping street or even 20-30 minutes to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which we did after recovering from 10 hours of sitting at the airport and on the flight. Since Kyoto has a lot to explore and there is great food out there, even food from combini Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby, we did not try the room service or restaurant at the hotel. Sorry about that. In conclusion, this is a brand new, renovated hotel that is clean and has a nice location. I will revisit and recommend it to my family, friends, and favorite colleagues.

We chose this ryokan because of the affordable price and location. When we arrived, our bags had been placed in our room (we'd sent them from our previous hotel via the takkyubin service), which was a nice touch. The room felt very small for the two of us. There was basically just enough floor space for our two futons laid out right next to each other. However, there is a large closet where they normally store the futons that we were able to use to store our luggage and other items when we rolled out the futons. The futons were very thin; I felt like I was pretty much just sleeping on the floor and it was rather uncomfortable. We got one of the private rooms so we would have our own bathroom but again, the bathroom was very small. Of course, we didn't spend a ton of time in the room anyway as we were out and about most of the time so the small space was not a dramatic downside. The neighborhood was quiet, which we liked, and the staff were very friendly. We had the western-style breakfast a couple mornings and it was quite good! All in all, it is an affordable stay in Kyoto, but I can't say that it is the most comfortable option. I would also warn that if you are looking specifically for a great ryokan experience and not just for a place to crash, this might not be the type of place you're looking for.

Easy check-in and spacious room. The entrance is hidden in a side street. There offer omplimentary bottled water and universal travel adapters were available at reception. Conveniently located above a SevenEleven as well as close to a Subway Station, Nishiki Market and a big road full of shops.

What a fun place to stay at! We booked through *********** and stayed one night. Had a great experience. We were picked up at the train station and brought back to the ryokan where our entrance was announced with a big crash of a gong. How fun! Staff was super friendly, food was excellent and the room was comfortable and quiet. We slept on extremely comfortable futons on the floor. Went to both dinner and breakfast in the Yukatas they supplied. Really enjoyed that experience. I tried out the onsen, which was very well appointed but I didn’t stay long as I overheated. I believe the onsen to be less appealing in the summer when you’re over heated all day. But I did want to give it a go. The ryokan is super close (walking distance ) to the main shopping areas. They gave me a lift in the morning to pick up my rental car. They provided umbrellas when we were going out and they thought it might rain. Just extremely thoughtful service here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended and would definitely return.
