+ Lovely location, not far from the main part of the city by motorbike. The beach outside the hotel is very shallow and clean! great for a morning swim. Other hotels can be found along the beach in the same area..just saying.
BUT, here is the huge let down with this hotel.
- Blood stains were found on the bed sheets on the first night, so had to request a change of sheets immediately. A couple of days later, my ENTIRE back and shoulders was covered with BED BUG bites. I had to see a dermatologist immediatelt because I was afraid, and they confirmed it was due to bed bugs at the hotel. After 5 days, the spots on my back and arms are still not recovered, truly disgusting experience. My arms arent as bad as my back!
Also, just before checking out of hotel on my way to the airport at 7am, the hotel accused me of not paying 4000THB for a trip I apparently didnt pay, which was a complete lie and now I wonder how many people have fallen for this scam. I paid all trips with credit card on the first hour of checking in at the hotel, all proof of payments are on my bank statement. The security guard would not let my taxi leave the hotel and called the police. I ended up leaving, because I had proof of payment on my bank statement. The hotel were proven wrong, but did not apologise to me for all the accusations.
Would I book at casa de mar again? If it wasnt for the last few days, I would...but after this experience...fuck that😄 book another hotel along the beach, cheaper prices, same experience.FromJPY 19,546

Super friendly staff, and they were very hospitable and willing to help with anything.
The airline misplaced my bag, and when it arrived at the hotel on a later date, the reception called me straight away to let me know that it had arrived.
The restaurant served a good variety of tasty food at a very reasonable price.
My only criticism is that I think the air conditioning unit in my room needed a bit of maintenance: it took a long time to cool the room, which is not ideal in Thailand!

I had to change rooms after I realised I was getting bitten by bed bugs. No apology only ( we dont know unless people tell us).
Second room also had bed bugs.
Morning check out they did not say thank you for staying or any greeting. When my transport turned up there was no goodbye come again or any such words.
I would expect for the prices a little more acknowledgement from the staff. Even the breakfast check in guy was just slumped over and disinterested.

Strengths:
1. Spacious rooms, interesting furniture, privacy.
2. Design of common areas: greenery, fountains, infinity pool, quality sun loungers, private beach club, beautiful restaurant.
3. Overall good service, but not super friendly.
4. Conveniently, all purchases on the hotel premises can be charged to the room account and paid upon check-out.
Weak sides:
1. The room was not ready for check-in at 14:00: they did not have time to clean the room while they were fixing the problem with the bathroom. As an apology, a coupon for a soft drink for 60 baht. Not enough.
2. Mediocre food in the restaurant: there is a small selection for breakfast, the usual set of products, similar to 3* hotels. Lunch and dinner are long waits, relatively high prices, but the quality is about the same as in nearby restaurants, the service is long even in the absence of other customers.
3. Remote location from shops and restaurants - you have to walk a lot, it’s unsafe to leave the hotel in the evening, there are a lot of dogs and there is no proper lighting on the streets (this is not a problem for the hotel).
4. On the second day of our stay, one of the air conditioners broke down. They fixed it in an hour, but it was unpleasant.
5. An amazing situation with slippers to wear in the room - usually they are disposable for each guest, here they demanded to return them because they wash them. Unhygienic and weird.FromJPY 16,980

Great hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great. Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.
The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.

Our stay at the Sarann was unforgettable! Our room was so big and luxurious we were stunned- it had a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom and a jacuzzi hot tub on the patio! The room had a massive bed, seating area and closet, and of course it had AC and hot water! The views from the restaurant and pool are STUNNING, and the beach is right on the door step that gives you access to more bars and restaurants and also water sports! We ate at the resort restaurant every night with endless menu options to choose from all being delicious and reasonably priced! All the staff were so kind and friendly and always making sure you have everything you need! The reception staff also spoke good English! Lub D is a cool hotel with a fun vibe. They have things set up where you’re able to socialize (although could add a few fun games). They have everything you need within the facility. There are a few things id say
1) add the floats in the water like the beach club next door. They don’t have anything in the water for customers to just relax in the water and enjoy, so customers are forced to purchase something from next door beach club if they want a drink in the water

Hotel is wonderful, 2 great pools (one right in the garden with lots of lovely trees around amd right next to the room) balcony of room also has a great view of pool and the garden.

The beach which is maybe 100m walk from room is fantastic, lovely sandy beach with plenty of chairs and decking for comfort.
The staff from the reception to the maids to the serving staff all super nice and friendly.
I came with wife and daughter for 3 nights originally bit extended for another 4 nights as the hotel amd grounds and staff just all so nice.. everything you need is right here.
As the hotel is just off the chaweng main strip thought maybe would be noisy but absolutely not.. it's far enough down towards the beach that the main strip isn't an issue, (unless of course you want to see the main strip and the many bars resteraunts s etc well no problem either as all of this is walking distance away so best of both worlds)
Breakfast buffet has plenty of options also.
So after another 4 days we may extend a bit more as I day it has everything you need for a great beach tropical holiday.

This is a very nice Resort. The pool area is very nice and comfortable. The swimming pool faces to the apartments is very long so you can enjoy swimming. The gym is very nice, not too many machines, but from good quality. You need to consider for you stay several aspects: the pool area in the middle of the resort comes with an additional costs of minimum consumption which is quite expensive, at the other pool area you don’t have any laying possibilities so you should consider a room with pool access if you plan to often go swimming, the kids club is really just a very small room with some toys just for emergency when the whether is not so well. The beach is very small and not so nice. We would not recommend to stay there with small kids as there is nothing around you can not do so much with the kid. Amazing hospitality especially by the villa concierge Chan. The Banyan Tree team also provided many unique touchpoints that distinguish them from other hotels.
For example, at check in, we were given a lotus flower and learnt how to fold the lotus petals. When we reached the villa, we were guided by Chan to release the lotus flower in the pool, symbolizing releasing bad karma and inviting positivity into our lives.
Throughout the stay, there were various essential oils and pillow styles available to choose from. Guest services were also happy to comply with requests for ice, and any other additional requests we had, such as turn down services conducted at a later or earlier time, according to our itinerary.
At checkout, we were also presented with a farewell drink, and a small token to remember our stay at the Banyan Tree Samui.

I spent a few days at Baan Sawan on Koh Samui and can highly recommend it. Although it’s a hotel, it feels more like a private villa – spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean. The infinity pool is definitely a highlight, surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees, offering a relaxing view over the rooftops and nature.
What made the stay truly special was the hospitality of the owners. They were always available, very helpful, and incredibly kind. What really impressed me was how they stepped in when I had a scooter accident – they took me to the hospital free of charge and made sure everything went smoothly. I’m really grateful for that.
The hotel is in a quiet location and offers a lot of privacy, yet beaches, restaurants, and attractions are easy to reach. The air conditioning works perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay, and there is also the option to use a ceiling fan for extra ventilation. Everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts. I would come back anytime!

There are a couple of cafes within walking distance, but we didn’t go to them, there weren’t many people there either, except that a couple of times we saw a few farangs having breakfast. Report offers delivery to and from the beach during certain hours. I don’t remember the price: either free, or for a symbolic fee, very low. They also offered to order breakfast and have it delivered to your villa: it’s certainly more expensive than in a regular cafe, but still affordable. We did not use this service, since we would have to plan breakfast time in advance (why?). The beach... we stayed during the daytime low tides, so I can’t say anything good about the sea, but the beach itself is clean and almost deserted.
Surprises: we booked a villa with three bedrooms and a living room + a swimming pool. When looking at the photos of the rooms (at the time of booking), I could not understand the location of the room and also could not understand the privacy of the pool. Will the pool be ours alone or will it have to be shared with guests from some other villa. I even looked around on Google Maps, but still didn’t fully understand it. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that this very villa consists of two separate houses between which there is a swimming pool (not small, but medium in size). One house consists of two bedrooms with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, and the other house consists of a huge living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. Grandiose! Another patio.
Of the minuses: not very stable wi-fi, TV is brooding. That's all. Air conditioners also do not cool as quickly as we would like, but this is the fault of the building design. A huge area of glazing which is made of single wood. If in the future we install normal aluminum structures with double-glazed windows, it will be possible to achieve a better effect from air conditioners + save on electricity and improve sound insulation. However, air conditioners do their job quite well. It was almost always quiet.
Overall everything is ok. This place is worth the money. The owner, Lana, is very friendly and speaks perfect Russian.

The employees were friendly and they always had wore a big smile on their faces. The room was clean and tidy, which had a big open shower space. Taking a shower with air conditioner was a little chilly but it was totally tolerable because the whether was so hot outside. Swimming pool was stunning with a wide view of ocean. It was pity that we cannot arrive sooner to enjoy the sunset in the pool. We will definitely consider staying more days at Hansar next time.😄

A wide variety of foods are available for breakfast and the restaurant which is open until 11 pm serves delicious food at reasonable prices. Amenities include a pool, games room, massage / beautician facility and a boutique and souvenir type retail outlet. The chalets are very comfortable and the whole experience for us was very pleasant. If you’re going to Samui, look carefully at this as an option. We would definitely stay again and can recommend it.

Our garden villa was amazing, huge, big comfy bed, coffee machine, lovely terrace…. Just beautiful. And then we went to the pool… wow, wow, wow it was wonderful. Best sunbeds ever, pool overlooking the ocean, drinks and food service with a smile. The lady who seems to run the pool/restaurant area was incredible… so very hardworking and attentive. There were some cocktail issues but she is working hard to train the new staff. The design of the whole place is so gorgeous. We didn’t want to leave!

|5.44km from city centerGreat hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great. Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.
The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.
Overall a great time at the Mantra Hotel, can only recommend.

|1.86km from city centerIt so happened that we had to look for a hotel on Samui literally at the last moment. My wife's friend, who lives on Samui, suggested this hotel. For which we are very grateful to her.
The main advantages of the hotel: a beautiful beach and a huge territory, where it is very easy to get lost. And the rooms are simply huge (we especially liked the 2 showers ”outdoors”).
The pool is clean, there are plenty of sun loungers, a place in the shade can be easily found. Breakfasts are quite varied. Next to the hotel (literally across the road) there is a ”7-Eleven”. And a number of bars and restaurants for every taste and budget.
I would like to separately emphasize the very friendly staff.
In a word, our family liked everything very much. But I want to warn travelers who find it difficult to walk. There are many descents and ascents on the territory of the hotel.

If it's your first time in Koh Samui and you want an unbeatable sea view room with hotel amenities, I highly recommend the beachfront villas at Silavadee.
**Hotel Pros:** The stunning, unbeatable ocean views are immediately apparent and absolutely breathtaking. Furthermore, the room design and maintenance are excellent; it's a wooden structure full of holiday charm that doesn't feel damp or moldy despite being by the sea, remaining fresh and tidy.
The hotel service is spot on. Whether it's room service or restaurant service, they respond promptly to requests, and the prices are reasonable!
**Things to consider for your stay:** The transportation is a bit inconvenient. Since it's on a hill, there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance apart from the hotel's own. We rented a motorbike from the hotel, so it didn't affect us. The hotel beach is just average; it's a bit small, and walking further in can be a bit rough on the feet. The waves are often too strong for water sports, but since we mostly relaxed in our room, it wasn't an issue for us.

|7.53km from city centerЗдравствуйте ! Проживала в отеле 4 ночи , выбрала для проживания более старый номер из-за Наличия в нем ванной . Рекомендую выбирать все таки новые номера ( разницы в цене вообще почти нет), они будут располагаться ближе к морю и будут более свежие .
Из плюсов - красивая пляжная локация в конце ламаи у камней , на дне есть большие камни но они совершенно не смущают ибо ты их видишь и они далеко друг от друга расположены. На песке меньше мазута в отличии от основной части ламаи.
- в отеле много забавных котиков , я их кормила , очень была Рада с ними встретиться и провести время ))
- хорошая уборка номеров
- завтраки неплохие , много фруктов
- персонал рецепции и ресторана
Минусы - расположение все таки отдаленное , немного неудобно выезжать на кольцевую дорогу тк в этой локации всегда активный трафик . При этом 7\11 в пешей доступности есть . Все это к самому отелю не относится и данную отдаленность можно считать и как плюс , в данной части пляжа меньше проходимость
Был инцидент в номере с 2 огромными тараканами . Такое за всю историю моих многочисленных поездок в Тайланд я встретила во второй раз . И вопрос тут не к уборке точно .
Не понимаю почему на завтраках нет кофемашин как во всех отелях , официанты бедные ходят все утро с чайниками предлагая кофе которое сильно разбавлено

Every part had something interesting to explore and I couldn’t stop looking at all the art that decorated every space. There were three pools (2 small and a slightly larger one) which was perfect for kids. My children loved the water slide going down from one pool to the other pool. Breakfast was simple but varied and the two dinner meals we had were delicious. Everyone there was very sweet and helpful. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes but it wasn’t too bad. I really enjoyed the stay here!

There are sun loungers, a swimming pool, and beach towels are provided. The mattresses on the sunbeds need to be cleaned. It is very unpleasant to lie on them: everything is covered in dirty spots. Therefore, I lowered the score for cleanliness. The rooms are clean, only the windows are covered with film in the rooms, and this film is somehow dirty. In general, there is transparent glass only in the room at the entrance; in the bedrooms there are no windows: narrow and covered with film.
The rooms are very simple and ascetic. The water in the shower was barely warm. Cleaned every day.
Shop nearby. Cafe too. Lamai is a 30 minute walk. There is a sidewalk.

The location was another highlight—it was conveniently close to Michelin Thai restaurants, less crowded and close to the beach.
The resort’s vibe is fantastic, and yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat.
The only minor drawback was hotel facilities is old and technically you can’t used them during your stay.
Overall, The Sea provided an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, relax and peaceful retreat and I look forward to staying here again in the future.
