First off, I'd definitely stay here again! I recommend it to anyone looking for good value for money, just needing a place to sleep, similar to a budget hotel like Hanting in China.
I stayed at the Keihan Hotel Yodoyabashi from October 1st to 4th, 2025, in a small double room (non-smoking). Here’s my breakdown:
* **Location & Transportation**: ⚠️ It's not in the central business district, but it's only one or two subway stops away from Umeda, Namba, etc.! If you're on a tight schedule, you might want to stay somewhere more central. It's about a 5-minute walk from the subway station, so if you're planning a super intensive 'special forces' type trip, I wouldn't recommend it.
* **Convenience stores**: There's a 7-Eleven just a 30-second walk to the left of the hotel.
A Lawson is a 3-minute walk to the right.
There are also two FamilyMart stores within a 5-minute walk.
* **Restaurants**: There are restaurants like Matsuya nearby, which is very convenient.
* **Quiet**: Also, because it's in a business district, it's very quiet!
* **Service Level**: The front desk staff were friendly and responsive. Aside from check-in and check-out, I didn't have much other interaction, so I can't comment further.
* **Room Condition**:
* **Space**: As expected, the room was small, but perfectly adequate. We could open three 20-inch carry-on suitcases.
* **Amenities**: The layout was well-planned, with a fridge, safe, kettle (Tiger brand), cups, a small stool, and a bathtub. All facilities were in good working order (the bedding was quite nice and comfortable).
* **Hot Water**: The hot water could be a bit more stable; it wasn't as good as the hotel I stayed at in Kyoto.
* **Soundproofing**: The soundproofing was average, but guests were all quiet, so it wasn't a big issue. We stayed in room 505, and there was no view from the window, just a parking lot.
* **Facilities**:
* **Breakfast**: At 1650 yen, I was very satisfied, especially as someone who loves vegetables, because the salad bar was abundant and fresh! Serving time is from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM. You can buy tickets directly at the front desk. The last entry time is 9:30 AM, so pay attention to that! It fully meets basic needs and is good value for money. Recommended!
* I didn't notice a gym or pool, so I assume there isn't one.
* The lobby lounge area has sofas, and it was decorated for Halloween, which was very pretty (see photo)!
* **Highlights**: You can pick up cosmetics, lotions, makeup remover, facial cleanser, small towels, combs, and hair ties from the front desk – super convenient! You only need to bring your own makeup and eye cream. Thumbs up!
* One bottle of drinking water per person per day, available for self-collection at the front desk.
* **Summary**: In short, great value for money! I will definitely stay again.
**A suggestion at the end**: The first thing I do when I check in is wipe everything down with an alcohol wipe. The cabinet where the safe is located was an absolute hygiene dead zone; it clearly hadn't been cleaned, with a ton of black dust. And the paper lining inside the safe was incredibly dirty. The hotel is in between Shinsaibashi Station and Nagahoribashi Station. The staff are polite and friendly. The room is decent size for two people, though 2 open luggages can only be done halfway open, but sti ok. There’s free hot & cold drinks at the lounge area which is open from 5am to 12mn.
The buffet breakfast is nice, mostly local Japanese foods (which we like), i can say that the cereal can be considered western. 😁
There’s a family mart just 2-5mins walk. And you can also walk to Namba from the hotel.

I have a great stay at Citadines. Was not expecting a lot as i merely booked it as the one day tour company request to stay in hotel near Namba. It definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways. Location is around 200m to Kuromon market where you can find plenty of goodies and food. It also connects to the popular Dotonburi where you will go crazy finding outlets like Onitsuka Tiger & Popmart as well as popular eateries like Ichiran ramen! Located around 5-10 minutes walk from Yodoyabashi Station, somewhat in the middle of the business district stands the Hotel Resol Trinity Osaka. Yodoyabashi station is a pretty convenient location, as it was minutes away from Osaka-Umeda Station as well as Shinsaibashi and Osaka-Namba station, which were all on the same line which made travelling around a breeze. The ambience and feel of the hotel was very inviting and comfortable.
We had booked the Hollywood Twin Room, and it was quite small, but I would rather describe it as cozy, though my only grouse was that the beds were too close to each other, and the lack of space for 2 huge luggages. I do love that although a bit on the small side, they still managed to fit in a nice Japanese bath to soak away the fatigue. Besides that, there was nothing much to complain about, as the beds were comfortable and not overly hard, and the staff were pretty warm, friendly, professional and efficient. The highlight was definitely the breakfast, which had a nice variety and were pretty delicious.

Excellent location for visit to Expo. The hotel is located right next to the bus terminal for buses to expo west gate, and literally right across the road from JR Sakurajima that connects you by train to rest of osaka, especially the osaka expo liner that brings you direct to Osaka station in 13min.

I stayed at this hotel in Osaka for 3 night and overall it was a pleasant experience. The room and facilities were good for the price, and my twin room was clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the hotel provides luggage storage before check-in, which was very convenient.
The location is excellent—close to both JR, Nankai and Metro stations, with many convenience stores nearby and Don Quijote within walking distance. There’s also a pantry area and coin laundry available for guests.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, but the work is done only during daytime hours, so it didn’t disturb my stay at night.

There's really no downside except for the small size, but everything else was so perfect that the size became negligible. I had a very comfortable stay and even took a bath. The room was spotless, though I hope they can pay a bit more attention to detailed cleaning. On the first day, there was a strange transparent stain on the chair, and I had to wipe it before I dared to sit down. However, the bed, windows, bathroom, and table were all very clean. The TV was super new with tons of channels, and you could even watch YouTube, which was very helpful. The front desk service was also great; they came to help when I couldn't figure out the self check-in on the first day.
Now for my personal experience: I found the bed a bit too soft. If you're not used to sleeping on soft beds or have back issues, you might want to consider this. It's very close to FamilyMart, making it super convenient for buying food. However, it's a bit of an awkward distance from both Kitahama and Yodoyabashi stations – not too close, not too far, which was a bit annoying. The walk to and from the hotel every day felt a bit long.
Finally, I highly recommend the food! First, try the chicken cutlet and marinated eggs from FamilyMart; the chicken is juicy and the eggs are very fragrant. Then there's Dorosoba, a bit further than FamilyMart. The old man who runs it is very nice and will use a little Chinese to tell you what's good and what's less popular. If you're worried about communication, just go in, find the ramen machine, switch it to Chinese, and pay with cash. But the grandpa is really cute; when he serves the food, he'll say, ”Very, very, very delicious rich ramen!” And it really is delicious! I’d rate Hillarys Shinsaibashi 4.5 stars. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the middle of the action. Even though it’s in a busy tourist area, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, and I slept well without being disturbed by street noise.
The staff are super friendly, everything in the room works as it should, and there are plenty of washing machines, which is very convenient. The amenities are solid and of good quality.
The room itself is on the smaller side. You can’t really open a large suitcase completely. Otherwise, it’s comfortable. The bed is great, the ventilation and plumbing worked perfectly. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We chose the hotel cos' it was conveniently located near the train station as we wanted to go to the Osaka expo. The rooms were ok. Housekeeping service was good. The Reception lady on our check in day (10/5 ) was not particularly friendly or helpful - perhaps she was busy. Upon check out today ( 10/7 ), however, the 2 ladies ( one from Indonesia ) were very helpful and the Japanese receptionist helped us refill our form to send our bags to Nagoya and called the receiving hotel in Nagoya to check that they will receive our bags. We are very grateful to her n I am sorry that I did not get her name but she was on duty this morning at 10.45am. Our room number was 3526. We also had a drink at the lounge bar on 20th floor on 10/6 night n it was quite nice. Overall, a nice experience at the hotel because of the Receptionist who helped us with our bags today (10/7 )and the Receptionist ( from Indonesia)who recommended us breakfast places n was very friendly and kind. An excellent hotel with a convenient location. The twin room was spacious, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet area. Guests are asked to place trash and used towels outside their door daily for collection. Every morning, the hotel provides Yakult. In the evenings, after enjoying the hot spring, guests can relax in massage chairs and read manga, along with complimentary ice cream. After 9:30 PM, you can head to the first floor for a bowl of soy sauce ramen and free coffee and cola. I enjoyed the hotel's hot spring daily, and even the showers in the room were clean. As our final hotel in Osaka, the room was adequately spacious; even after all our shopping, there was still plenty of room to open our suitcases. Our whole family was quite satisfied with our hotel stay in Osaka. First off, its location is excellent, right across the street from Fukushima Station. There's a FamilyMart next door and a 7-Eleven right by Fukushima Station. There are tons of restaurants in the area—yakitori, sashimi, izakayas, ramen, you name it. It's just one stop away from the Umeda shopping district, and even walking from the hotel isn't too far. The best part is that it's a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle. Umeda Station's transportation hub is incredibly complex and easy to get lost in, but this particular station has a direct exit that's super close to the hotel, so you won't get lost—it's incredibly convenient! We took the JR line directly from the airport to our room. We stayed for 4 nights, and housekeeping cleaned our room daily. Plus, there's even a hot spring bath to enjoy.FromMXN1,437

The room size is decent; I was able to open a 25-inch and a 30-inch suitcase halfway each. The hotel offers free all-you-can-eat ramen every night from 9 PM to 10 PM, with different soup bases daily. You can grab some snacks from the Tsutenkaku shopping street to pair with the ramen, making for a great dinner. The hot spring (onsen) is in a separate building. After changing, you get a code from the front desk; ladies go to the 3rd floor and enter with the code. You can pay extra to upgrade to a private bath. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PLACE!! 💯 Was greeted with a minion-themed entrance when we walked in and the staff were very friendly. The hotel room was by far the best we have stayed in our entire Japan trip with a huge space and beautiful sight of the ocean (caught the sunrise view in the early morning too), and the breakfast was even better with the most delicious spread of Japanese food 😍 just a short 5min walk away from USJ entrance. Only downside is no convenient store in the hotel that opens 24/7, but there's a Lawson nearby at the hotel opposite us. The Mokumoku Room at this hotel is perfect for a family of three. Where there used to be two beds, there are now three tatami mats, so even if a child rolls around in their sleep at night, it won't disturb the adults, and there's no need to worry about them falling off. The best way to get here from the station is to take the small path next to Starbucks. There's a Lawson convenience store downstairs, which, although small, can meet most basic needs. There are two breakfast restaurants; one opens at 6:30 AM and the other at 6:45 AM. People start lining up at the door around 6:20 AM to eat and then head to the park. During peak times, around 6:45 AM, you might have to wait for a table. There are no free drinks, only two small complimentary packets. The main advantage is its proximity to the theme park; you can hear the roller coaster both morning and night. Even at 4:30 AM, you can hear the roller coaster test runs. We used this hotel to go to Universal Studios Japan as a gift for our child's graduation.
Access from the nearest station wasn't very good, so it was a bit of a hassle to get around when we were tired, but there was a large public bath so we were able to relieve our fatigue, which was great.
The room was clean and there was a convenience store nearby, so it was convenient.
The front desk staff were kind and the service was very good.
We will use this hotel again.

The room was quite small, but all the amenities expected from an IHG property were fully provided; though small, it had everything one could need.
There's a hotel shuttle bus to USJ, with only one departure at 7:30 AM on the day we went. We booked it in advance via email, and the response was quick and excellent. We secured our seats and entered the park by 8 AM, which was a great experience.
It was a bit difficult to find the shuttle bus stop from Umeda Osaka Station to the hotel. I suggest the hotel provide a video route guide; that would significantly improve the guest experience.

Location was next to subway and it works till midnşght. There is 7 eleven under hotel. Also starbucks is on the other side. Room was comfy and quiet for sleeping. Aircondition was very good. Bathroom was good. Laundry at 4th floor and around 5 dolar. There are only 4-5 machines so you might have problem on the line . Also my wise and debit card payment didnt work and l couldnt wash. Overall good experience at the hotel! Saw 2-3 dried black spots on the bedsheet and pillows, but it's small enough to avoid them while sleeping. Toilet is great, felt like another room in the room itself, totally opaque with privacy so it won't feel awkward if you're staying with your siblings. The amenities are provided at the lobby and there are water dispensers at certain level, just that the shampoo and conditioner's fragrance are not my preference. There's a humidifier in the room which makes it less dry. The location is in walking distance 15-20mins (or less) to the back part of Shinsaibashi shopping street. This truly lives up to its reputation as an established five-star hotel. It embodies all the qualities of a five-star establishment, with staff who are highly service-oriented and professional. The front desk staff are particularly professional and have good English skills. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and during my 6-night stay, the cleaning was impeccable every day. The location is excellent; the airport limousine bus goes directly here, and there's also a bus to Tennoji from right outside the hotel, running every 15 minutes for 120 yen. The subway is directly accessible from the hotel's basement, just two stops to Namba and five to Umeda. Right next door is Kintetsu Department Store, which connects to an annex featuring Muji and Uniqlo, among others. The basement supermarket offers very reasonable prices. The biggest surprise was the transportation; Shinsaibashi Station's Exit 8 subway entrance leads directly and seamlessly into the hotel lobby.
The hotel's location is truly a golden hub. Daimaru department store is right across the street, and the bustling Dotonbori is just a few minutes' walk away, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. You can purchase one-day passes for Universal Studios Japan (USJ) directly at the front desk. USJ is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel, which greatly simplifies trip planning.
While the hotel has been around for a while, the rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. Even with a child, we didn't feel cramped at all. The hotel location is great and easy to walk around exploring right in the middle of the city and you will find this gem ramen store open 24/7! The only disappointment was with the butler service or more the non existent butler service. For the price we are paying, I expected much much more from St Regis as I have been accustomed to at other St Regis Hotels. The hotel is beginning to show its age and hence the cleanliness part is coming into question when our rooms were being cleaned, I mean I am again nit picking here but it isn’t up to St Regis usual standards. The hotel is very close to the World Expo and also Universal Studios. The lobby is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, and there's a Lawson convenience store and several restaurants on the basement floor (accessible directly by elevator from the rooms), which is very convenient. I feel like there's no need to book a room with breakfast, as the Lawson convenience store has a wide variety of food options (the last picture shows everything bought from Lawson). The hotel has a doorman who delivers luggage directly to your room after check-in.
The room is quite large for Japan, and although simple, it has everything you need: two single beds, an additional child's bed, a round table, a chair, and two stools. There's more than enough space to lay out three medium-sized suitcases on the floor. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, with all amenities provided.

The hotel view is absolutely fantastic, offering a great cityscape of Osaka. From the better room types, you get a direct view of a large area of Umeda, including the train station. The decor is European style, though it feels a bit 'knock-off' – like a fake European imitation. The details don't hold up under close inspection, and the cleanliness is noticeably not as good as in Tokyo. They're very generous with amenities, providing a lot. Breakfast is à la carte, suitable for those who enjoy Western breakfast; I found it pretty good, and the bread was quite tasty. 2. The airport shuttle bus stop is right next door.
3. While the room isn't huge, it's perfectly adequate for a family with children, and there's still enough space to open your suitcases comfortably.
4. The 2F onsen (hot spring bath) is spotless and fully equipped. Be sure to remove your shoes before entering, and note that you'll need to bring your own towel. It's pure bliss to relax in the onsen after a day of sightseeing! They also offer complimentary ice cream and a late-night snack.
