Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|0.37km from city center
I've stayed here several times now. The location is super convenient, with Kitahama Station right downstairs, and Yodoyabashi Station just a short walk further. There are multiple lines available like the subway and Keihan Railway, making it really easy to get around. In a previous review, I mentioned the issue with slippers to the hotel, and this time they've added disposable slippers, which I'm very happy about! 👍 The room is also quite spacious, and the breakfast is good too. While there isn't a huge variety, all the essentials are there, and it's definitely enough to fill you up. The staff are also very friendly and provide excellent service! 👍

The room was spotless and smelled fresh. I was initially worried if I'd have space to open my suitcase, but it was perfectly fine. The hotel is super close to two different subway stations and also to Shinsaibashi. Plus, there are tons of great restaurants nearby!

Shinsaibashi/Namba/Yotsubashi Osaka|3.53km from city center
Very clean, spacious and comfortable hotel. Really couldn't fault anything about the room other than the bathtub - which is a shower-over-bathtub which can be a fall risk. There's a resident lounge on Level 6 where you can get ice, coffee and tea. Service by staff at the reception is cheerful and prompt. Very near to Kuromon market where you can buy fruits and eat Japanese beef or fugu fish. A slightly longer walk to Namba station. Even though the location of this hotel is considered Namba, I can't help wondering if it's on the ”wrong” side of Namba, due to the vibes of the shops just next to the hotel. About 10 minutes level walk to Namba Metro where you can catch the train to the airport.

Osaka Bay Osaka|7.3km from city center
This hotel is conveniently located near Sakurajima JR Station, making it super easy to get to Universal Studios Japan and the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. While it's still accessible to central Osaka areas like Shinsaibashi, Namba, and Umeda by train, it's not as convenient as staying in the city center itself, as trains here only run every 15 minutes, which is less frequent than downtown. The hotel is close to Osaka Bay, offering some nice views, but aside from a convenience store, there aren't many dining options nearby. The hotel itself looks quite luxurious, is very spacious, and has a large number of rooms. It offers pretty good value for money compared to other hotels in the same price range. You can also store your luggage before check-in, and they even deliver it to your room when you do check in. In terms of service, one of the bellhops was very enthusiastic, but the lady at the front desk who handled my check-in was a bit indifferent and seemed impatient when there were language communication issues. The hotel's onsen (hot spring) is also quite large and very relaxing.

Facilities: Great. Cleanliness: Very good, spotless. Ambiance: Nice, very good. Service: Good. Every time I come to Japan, when I'm traveling solo, I choose this place. The private small rooms are clean, hygienic, and excellent, with no strange odors. I genuinely recommend it. The subway station is right next door.

It was a very enjoyable stay. It is conveniently located near multiple train stations, all of which are walking distance from the hotel. The room is spacious and very clean. We stayed on the 13th floor and had a great view .The whole hotel smells incredible. The hotel also provides you a range of masculine, feminine and gender neutral scents located on level 2 in the laundry room. You also have access to an iron in that room. The staff are very attentive as well. I will definitely be returning to this hotel for our future Osaka stays

The hotel is new, clean, and perfectly located in the heart of the tourist area, making it very convenient to get around. The room is surprisingly spacious compared to others in this area, and guests can freely pick up complimentary amenities, which is a nice touch. My stay at Dormy Inn PREMIUM Namba was truly excellent overall! The service, location, and facilities were all undoubtedly great. First, the location is incredibly convenient, about a 10-minute walk to Shinsaibashi, making it perfect for shopping and dining. The hotel staff were also very accommodating and polite, which made me feel very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the onsen facilities; it was so relaxing to soak in the hot spring after a day of shopping. Plus, the complimentary Yonaki ramen and ice cream every evening were something I looked forward to every day – it felt like a real treat. The only minor downside was a bit of dust in the room. It would have been even better if daily cleaning service was provided. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Osaka.

Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|1.31km from city center
Convenient walking distance to and from the Sakaisuji-Honmachi Station serving the Chuo Line [C] and Sakaisuji Line [K], makes for an easy thoroughfare to all parts of the city, Umeda, and Universal Studios, too. Great amenities are its upper floor Onsen on the 14th floor, along with the swimming pool and gym facilities for an additional (2 700¥) per visit. Room size is fairly spacious for solo travelers, but opt for beds for two persons or couples. The hotel does not have laundry facilities though the nearest laundromat is about 6-blocks away. Very clean and open 24/24. This hotel has a chapel inside on the second floor for those who are observant travelers (for Christian devotees). There are several other temples and shrines all within distance from the hotel itself. Accommodations are very good from a short stay to a business traveler’s perspective or personal experience within this part of Osaka’s financial districts. Very lovely places for returning visitors.

When we first arrived, we went through the wrong entrance, and the front desk staff came down to meet us. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Osaka.

The room was quite spacious for Japan, allowing us to fully open our luggage and even enjoy dinner at the hotel. The biggest highlight of this hotel is the stunning view of Osaka Bay. Its location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Solaniwa Onsen and Life Supermarket. A short walk further brings you to one of only two Don Quijote MEGA stores in Osaka. The JR station provides direct access to Nara and Umeda. While not in the city center, its location is a hidden gem – getting anywhere is incredibly convenient.

Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|0.72km from city center
My teenage boys thoroughly enjoyed the onsen, night ramen, ice cream, and massage chairs. The Dormy Inn is very conveniently located—Kitahama Station (Brown Line) is less than a 2-minute walk away, and Yodoyabashi Station is about a 7-minute walk at a normal pace. Convenience stores and restaurants are also within 1–3 minutes’ walk. Aside from the cold winter temperatures, everything was excellent. There was no room cleaning during our 6-night stay; however, fresh towels were replenished daily. This is a quiet district, and if not for the winter chill, we would have gladly explored more of the surroundings on foot.

Considering Japanese standards, the room size was quite good. We could comfortably open both a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase after shifting the table and chairs. The room was clean, and the complimentary toiletries were nice. While the towels were thinner than what we're used to in Chinese hotels, they were perfectly sufficient and spotless. The hotel's location is undoubtedly its biggest asset; getting to Universal Studios Japan and Umeda was both fast and incredibly convenient. There are plenty of dining options and convenience stores right downstairs, plus a supermarket not too far away. Highly recommended!

Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|1.38km from city center
I used Osaka as my base for daily trips to surrounding cities, and for that purpose, this hotel was perfect. The bedding and onsen (hot spring) exceeded my expectations. The front desk is on the second floor, and after checking in, you can pick out your pajamas and a suitable pillow from a designated area on the same floor. Another highlight on the second floor is a free lounge bar for guests, offering complimentary drinks and alcohol. Many guests choose to grab a simple dinner from downstairs or on their way back, then enjoy it leisurely at the bar. The hotel's onsen has incredibly generous hours, operating overnight. It's fantastic to be able to soak and relax even after returning to the hotel late at night. There's a subway station and a Family Mart convenience store right below the hotel, making travel and finding food and drinks very convenient. While it's a bit of a walk to Shinsaibashi, the overall value for money is still excellent.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise given how spacious it was – quite rare for Japan. First, the positives: the hotel's location is impeccable, being just a few minutes' walk from the theme park. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are very spacious, and the two large beds can easily accommodate a family of four. We stayed for two nights. When we returned on the second day, we noticed that the sheets and duvet covers had been changed to new ones. However, the floor was completely uncleaned, and there was a noticeable amount of trash, which I find hard to believe wasn't seen. Also, I usually keep my black pajamas on the bedside table, as I feel the bed is clean. Typically, after housekeeping changes the bedding at other hotels, they place my pajamas back on the bedside table. This time, however, they were thrown on the floor, specifically in the gap between the nightstand and the bed (it took me a while to find them, and I've already picked them up in the photo, so it's not visible). I'm not sure if this was intentional.

Absolutely loved this hotel! All the staff were so enthusiastic and genuinely warm. The room was the largest we had during our entire trip to Japan. While the furnishings felt a bit dated, they were exceptionally well-maintained, and there wasn't that old room smell; it was very clean. The breakfast was generally good. I've stayed at the New Otani in Hakata before, and this time I chose the one in Osaka. Both are equally luxurious and grand, but I found the room's cleanliness in Osaka to be a bit lacking compared to Hakata – there were some stains behind the closet door. The location is super convenient, close to both JR and Keihan train stations. The room was spacious enough, with two bathrooms, which was incredibly handy for a family trip. When we checked out, we made a last-minute decision to take the shuttle bus to the airport. We only had five minutes before it departed, but the front desk immediately called the shuttle service, printed our tickets, and had a bellboy whisk our luggage over. We made it onto the bus smoothly, and I'm very grateful for their quick assistance. The surrounding area is also very convenient; we took a leisurely stroll to Osaka Castle. We even stumbled upon an XG concert tour, with the venue, Osaka-Jo Hall, right across from the hotel! We snagged tickets for 400 yen and enjoyed a high-quality concert. So happy! 🥳

I booked two rooms for this trip: a standard double and a VIP quad room. The VIP room truly deserves praise – although it's a quad room, it could easily fit six people and still feel incredibly spacious. We just had to book two rooms due to Japan's strict occupancy rules. On top of that, the cleanliness and service were top-notch, and the toiletries were all from well-known brands with generous quantities. If I ever visit Shinsaibashi again, I'd absolutely recommend this place! The only downside is that the lobby can get quite busy, so be prepared to queue.

Coming from Tokyo, I thought I had the Shinkansen system down, but Osaka Station definitely taught me a lesson! I got lost as soon as I exited the subway, and we only found the hotel because my husband could read the map. I'd highly recommend taking a taxi if it's your first time in Umeda and heading to this hotel! However, once we got our bearings, we realized the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Osaka Station is just 200 meters across the street! Hankyu Station and Umeda Station are also nearby. Within 500 meters, you'll find the Umeda shopping district: Hankyu Department Store, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100, Daimaru Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, and Hankyu Sanbangai are all in the vicinity – a shopper's paradise! The best part is the time-saving aspect; if you buy too much to carry, you can just drop it off at the hotel and head out again – plenty of time, haha. Most importantly, it's also quite close to Universal Studios Japan. A 17-minute subway ride from Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient. **Service:** While I didn't find any staff who spoke Chinese, they were very friendly towards Chinese guests. My basic English was sufficient. You'll need to pay the deposit with cash or a Visa card. **Accommodation:** Since the price is a bit higher than the Shinsaibashi area, the rooms are also larger. This is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in Japan, and the accommodation was excellent and very clean. The only downside was that the hairdryer had very weak airflow and was loud, making it a struggle to dry my hair.

After a long search, I finally settled on The Westin, an established hotel that was renovated last year. Location: It's a 6-7 minute walk from Osaka Station, which is both convenient and peaceful, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Cleanliness: There's really nothing to complain about when it comes to cleanliness in Japanese hotels. Facilities: The room was spacious enough, which was my favorite part. However, despite the renovation, the showerhead, shower stall size, and sink still left something to be desired; you could definitely feel its age. Service: This is a classic five-star hotel. They even delivered an English newspaper to my door in the morning. The room was cleaned impeccably every day, meeting Westin's standards. However, the concierge staff at the entrance had inconsistent attitudes – I encountered some who were quite grumpy, and others who were incredibly enthusiastic.

I originally booked a W Suite and arrived at 12 PM hoping to secure a high-floor room, but was only given the 8th floor. So, I paid more to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite. Honestly, the hardware facilities are excellent, but! If you want to experience differential treatment, this W is the place to be. First, someone else's laundry was mistakenly delivered to our suite. When I told the front desk, they were dismissive, merely saying someone would come to collect it, without even an apology. Later, while we were out, they left two boxes of Pocky biscuits... truly perfunctory. Then, we went to the Living Room on the third floor for drinks, and the server was practically bowing to Caucasian guests, while being very dismissive towards us. Around 10 PM, I called their 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service for an extra duvet, and they told me they had none left. The next day, I ordered room service through the Bonvoy app, and since I couldn't find the order on the web version, I called again to confirm. They said they'd call me back after checking with room service, but the meal arrived and I never got a call back. It felt like they didn't care about their guests at all. Also, the suite's minibar is entirely chargeable, and there are no additional services. It really felt like I paid a hefty price just to rent the room itself. I can't really praise the service from a five-star Marriott-branded hotel. This review is a heads-up for anyone considering booking this hotel. Though I doubt W Osaka will care about my review; they're always fully booked and don't lack customers. Oh, and the front desk concierge who spoke Chinese were all from Taiwan.

The hotel location is great and easy to walk around exploring right in the middle of the city and you will find this gem ramen store open 24/7! The only disappointment was with the butler service or more the non existent butler service. For the price we are paying, I expected much much more from St Regis as I have been accustomed to at other St Regis Hotels. The hotel is beginning to show its age and hence the cleanliness part is coming into question when our rooms were being cleaned, I mean I am again nit picking here but it isn’t up to St Regis usual standards. The gym room is adequate but there isn’t a pool in a 5 star hotel 🙃.

✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵 My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected! 📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient. 🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light. 🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer. 👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier. 👍 Pros: - Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers - Excellent central location - Secure system with lockers for your belongings ⚠️ Cons: - If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one) - Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space - It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times 💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!

LUGGAGE STORAGE 💀 💕Overall the hotel is amazing! Near to 7/11 and Lawson. There’s an airport bus just 5minutes away. However, their luggage storage system, it says there’s free luggage storage but they only allow ONE baggage per person, if there’s 2 ppl in your room then 2 luggages. You can store your other luggages at the mall where the airport bus is, BUT Sundays the storage space is closed and we had to drag our luggages to somewhere else for a whole day….you should have written the one luggage per person instead of free luggage storage at the concierge so that people can plan accordingly.

The room was nice, enough space to open luggage etc, come with 1 type c and 1 usb plug. 2 bathroom and 2 toilet on my floor for female, the washer and dryer is available at lv1. The bathroom got a little messy on 2 of those night i stayed, prolly because the other ppl stayed there didn't throw papers nicely. It was not cleaned for a night or 2. Tho hotel was not bad, but the location is slightly unsafe, as the route from donbutusen-mae need to go through small dark alleys. From JR wise, its just one route, but left right has no shops open starting evening, with constrcution sites plus a factory-looking place. Will be ok if you are not a solo traveller imo!

Hotel was very near to the train station , lawson convenient store. From the train station u just need to pass 1 traffic light and u are arrived. Hotel was super clean, tidy but the shower room and toilet was outside the room, located at the ground level, but itsokay, everything was fine ! The hotel also near to some attraction places, and still at a resonae price compared to others, Recommended!💯

Coming from the airport, we took the Nankai Line to ”Tengachaya,” then transferred to the K-Line subway to Ebisuchō Station, which is very close. The hotel is right there when you exit. Actually, there's no need to book breakfast at the hotel; it's a set meal. There's a FamilyMart right across the street, and downstairs, there's a local udon noodle shop (Men no Sho Tsurumaru Udon (Nipponbashi store)) with a few tables and reasonable prices, so breakfast isn't necessary. We actually couldn't get used to their breakfast, FamilyMart is better. It's about a 20-minute walk to Shinsaibashi and Namba. To get to Kyoto, you can take the Keihan Electric Railway from Yodoyabashi.

Hotel were offering late checkouts to guests who left 5* reviews, so I feel that the reviews have been artificially inflated by people rating 5* so that they can get late checkout. Location was quite far from the JR Namba station and even further from the metro Namba station. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom was tiny, kitchenette had a raised lip which was easy to trip over or stub your toes on. However, the size of the room was good, there was a good amount of space. It would be ok to spend a night or two here but I think we were there 5 nights which wasn’t great with the uncomfortable bed. When we checked in we were told a room number of an uncleaned room and had to ring out of hours to swap rooms, but that was all resolved quickly by the hotel. Also to note, the keyboxes didn’t feel very safe/ secure because the codes followed a pattern (so if you knew one you’d know the other rooms), but we didn’t use the lockbox except for when we checked in so it didn’t affect us, but just something to consider. Overall it was ok for a budget hotel but I think the reviews make it seem too good to be true!

My dream hotel! Staying here for five nights was such a blessing; it significantly boosted the happiness of my entire Kansai trip. It honestly made me so disappointed with the hotels I stayed in afterward. From now on, whenever I come to Osaka, I'm definitely staying here. The room was spacious, and the mattress and bedding were incredibly soft and clean – I slept so comfortably. I especially appreciated the fully enclosed duvet cover, which felt very hygienic (unlike another hotel of the same caliber I stayed in later, where they only used a single sheet between the duvet insert and the bottom sheet. Every time I moved, the sheets, duvet, and cover would all get tangled up – it was disgusting! Plus, the material felt as terrible as curtain fabric; it infuriated me!). The bathroom wasn't huge but was very clean, and all the fixtures were new. There were two bottles of mineral water provided. You need your room card to use the elevator. The view of the river from the window was beautiful, both during the day and at night.

I'll start with the morning, which is the food. It's delicious and varied; in my experience, the main dishes are repeated every 3-4 days. The location is absolutely perfect, with all the shops within walking distance, including a family market nearby. The metro is 5-10 minutes away, as are any other services. The train station is about a 40-minute drive away. There's also a dispenser (coffee, tea, toothbrushes, etc.) on the ground floor near the elevator.
