The outside is being renovated, and the inside may be renovated slowly by myself. Even the door handle is broken. The room is for 4 people. I thought it was divided into girls' and boys' rooms, but it turned out that a little boy was divided into two rooms that afternoon, and he was divided into two rooms the next day. . It is surrounded by old areas, and check-in does not cost the 6 ringgit indicated by Ctrip. I booked this youth hostel just because I was working alone. I arranged the bed in the upper bunk. If you look closely, the air conditioner was full of air. It's gray. I carried it like this for three nights. Fortunately, I was well prepared and brought dirty sheets and other things. Cheap and convenient are just ignored. The exterior and the first floor are still passable, and you must prepare slippers and change your shoes every time you go back. The soundproofing is very poor, so it won't be suitable for those with sleep disorders. There is a broadcast from the mosque at 6 o'clock every morning, and there is an open-air karaoke next door at night which is quite noisy.

Just a perfect intro to Penang and Georgetown. A beautiful little place, halfway between an upscale hostel and a boutique hotel. It was my first visit to Penang, and initially I'd reserved at another, highly rated, Georgetown hotel, but my heart sank when I checked in, looked at the rows of identical rooms, talked to the front desk staff who had no enthusiasm for their World Heritage city and minimal knowledge of what to see, where to go. I immediately checked out! I checked TripAdvisor, and Carnarvon House was just a 15 minute walk away -- in a much more traditional part of town. What a contrast! It's in a quiet side street in the middle of traditional Georgetown, a small hotel with beautifully restored internal and external features. Greeted by Nicole, the super friendly, knowledgeable co-owner, I admired the internal patio garden, the welcoming guest coffee/common room, and the choice of rooms. The upscale hostel part? There are no ensuite bathrooms -- the traditional and original layout doesn't allow room for that. But there are easily adequate toilet-shower-sink cubicles. As a solo visitor, I much enjoyed meeting other guests -- young folks and couples from all parts of the world -- in the common room area. And Nicole was so helpful in advising about how to explore Penang -- and restaurant recommendations. A better concierge than in most upscale hotels! A perfect place for a perfect Penang visit.

If you want to make shared bathroom pls make sure its clean because all people use the bathroom. The room was okay but you can hear people walking since its made from wood. Got few spider web on the ceiling and the room is quite small for the price. If you want to have a short stay maybe its okay but if you want to have long stay you might find other place that have private bathroom and spacious room to walk around. Its not 24hours receptionist bcs when got back around 2am there’s no one at the counter. Overall the place is okay but please replenish and refurbish furnitures to help customer have a good stay at your hotel TQ

The hotel contact person will proactively contact you after booking the hotel (you can use WeChat in Chinese). On the day of check-in, the apartment contact person will send the room registration QR code, room mailbox password, WIFI password, and check-in requirements. The location of the apartment is relatively remote, but fortunately there is a canteen downstairs (open from 8:00-22:00). After arriving at the apartment, you need to give the room registration QR code to the Indian security guard on the left side of the building (parking lot entrance) for registration. After registration, security will accompany you to open the main door and the inner door of the lobby. After entering the inner door, find the mailbox, open it with the password, and get 2 keys with access cards. Apartment rooms are opened with traditional keys. The room is quite large and all facilities are basically complete (no toothbrush, toothpaste, wooden comb, slippers, etc. are provided). The hot spot of this apartment is the infinity swimming pool on the rooftop, which has a great view. The disadvantage is that the power of the water heater is insufficient. Even if it is adjusted to the highest temperature setting, the water temperature is about 32 degrees, which makes you feel a little cool when taking a shower.
