We had an amazing stay at the NH hotel during our city break in Barcelona. All the provided services are perfect qualities. Whatever you wish to print your boarding passes at the concierge desk or order the room service the staff is more than happy to assist you. The room was ready for us much earlier than the check in time. The hotel is perfectly located, right at the La Rambla Street and the skybar at the roof offers amazing landscape of the city with DJ taking care of the music. We highly recommend the hotel for everyone who is looking for an accommodation in Barcelona. At the end we would like to award Laura and Mike from the front desk and a bellboy Kevin who were giving us an extraordinary assist since we only crossed the door of the hotel.From$247

We recently stayed at the Majestic Barcelona. It was everything that one would expect of a five star hotel. The location is great - walking distance from many of the city's best attractions and restaurants. It also has a great rooftop bar that overlooks the city. The fine dining restaurant at the hotel is also very good, and we had an excellent dinner there. We did, however, have a problem with one aspect of the hotel. They advertise tours which are described in great detail on the hotel website. The problem is that as of our visit the website had not been updated post-Covid and the description of the very expensive tour that we booked was inaccurate and we did not what was advertised. After a lot of arguing on our part, and after initial push back by the hotel's management, the finally made things right. All's well that ends well, but it did put a tinge on an otherwise wonderful stay.From$428

The hotel is everything you need business or pleasure. The cocktails are sublime 😍. However ask for a room. At the front much better. The only negative is the breakfast we only ate once the cold options are good , however for 4 star hotel the hot was unbearable to eat the worst scrambled eggs I ever tasted I ask to get a fried egg and was told no. This is not the service of 4 stars they had 3 waiters all standing around just to make coffee the chef came out a couple time doing noting. It's such a pity. The breakfast staff are so unwilling to help. I must say the housekeeping is the best I ever seen and the reception staff amazing well done Nico... Will be back but not booking breakfast.From$137

My son is a pilot and we decided to go standby to Rome from Newark NJ .Plane was full so could not get on .We were at the airport with our passports in hand and did not want to go home ..United to Barcelona had 3 seats available.When we landed needed someplace to stay and i am a best western rewards member and this hotel could not have been better .A free shuttle from the airport 15 minute ride away.The staff Manuel ,2 Silvias and Mafhud as well as the restuarant staff were so nice and helpful getting us around town .20-25 $ Cab ride to La Rambla ,and most everywhere we wanted to go ..You can also use Cabify app ..THANK YOU .Cant wait to return ..Thanks from NYCFrom$128

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous; every detail, perfectly appointed. The pool, sauna and steam room were 100% worth the price of admission. It would be a mistake to skip. The bed was comfortable. The service was amazing and one of the servers pretty much made our trip (I forgot her name but I know she speaks Bulgarian). The front desk lady had great recommendations for vegetarian restaurants. I think that hotels of this caliber should always have a Nespresso or something like that in-room. I don’t care for getting ready and dressed to fetch coffee. There was a lot of street noise. Again, I picked a hotel right smack in the middle of town, but I did not sleep the second night. Lots of Americans everywhere. I would stay in a different part of town next time. From$192

We stayed 7 nights in this historic hotel and celebrated a special occasion during our trip. The hotel is truly beautiful & elegantly decorated, however the service levels were inconsistent and sorely disappointing for a hotel of this standard & price. Also, there was unfortunately no special factor that made this hotel memorable. Rooms - we booked a classic double room for 3 people & got upgraded to a deluxe room on a high floor. While I appreciated the upgrade and the room decor was beautiful, the bathroom (while spacious) was in visible need of refurbishment. The paint was badly peeling in certain parts, the closet doorknob came off on our third day, the glass shower door wouldn't close fully so the bathroom got wet during a shower. I'm not expecting a newly renovated room but for the price, the room should at least be in good working condition. Housekeeping - was very inconsistent and there was a severe lack of attention to detail. Some examples: - Upon check in, the room curtain was unhooked from the first hook and messily hanging - it took 3 days for housekeeping to finally notice & fix this. - For the entirety of our stay, all room amenities were provided for 2 (not 3) people despite us having booked & paid for 3 people. - Used wine glasses & water mugs were not washed for several days until we called housekeeping to do so. - On several days, I came back to my luggage having been moved haphazardly (I think they were trying to make up the extra bed) and not put back in its place. - Turn down service was done beautifully on some days and not at all on other days. Rooftop terrace - was a gorgeous place to dine, food was excellent and the service was lovely. We felt very welcome here and it was a real treat dining here! Definitely try the rooftop terrace at least once! Front desk, concierge and bellman were excellent. The concierge was helpful with dining recommendations and guest relations gave us a cake for the special occasion we were celebrating. The bellman was attentive to get us taxis & always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast - is definitely worth a try! The breakfast room is beautiful and the drawing room leading to it is so regal & gorgeous. Generous spread of food & service was warm as well. Amar - dined here & paid over 400 euros but it was a shockingly disappointing experience. The bread, starters, petit fours & decor were wonderful - but the 200 euros of seafood we ordered was not fresh at all and the service was disinterested & careless. We were abit shocked at how bad it was for a Michelin restaurant. Bluesman cocktail bar - did not try. There's a 50 euro per pax minimum spend but perhaps this could be waived for hotel guests who are already paying a lot for a room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but felt greatly let down by the service standards at this otherwise lovely hotel. Unfortunately, I highly doubt I'd return here again but sincerely hope the hotel improves its service standards to match its elegaFrom$439

I rarely complain about anything, however, the young lady who checked us in said, ”oh, and your breakfast is included!” This is not something I expected because normally I don't elect this unless it's automatic because I prefer the flexibility to have breakfast somewhere else. And usually larger hotel breakfasts are expensive. There were four of us in our party, and since it was ”included”” we went down every morning to take advantage of breakfast. When we checked out however we learned it was NOT included and we were charged $20 for each person per day. We explained the mistake to the front desk person, but he said he could not help us. One evening we shared with Auria that we would be taking a cab to our outing she immediately jumped out of her seat and before we knew it she was in street hailing a cab for us. We were and are simply amazed that she would do that for us. The breakfast was superb with a great variety of hot and cold choices. We had a chance to visit the roof top bar, the live music and cocktails were a perfect way to complete our day. When we return to Barcelona we will be staying at the Gallery Hotel.

The hotel staff members were all courteous, competent, efficient and ready to assist when needed. The location is also excellent -- on a beautiful, tree-lined street among upscale shops, lively during the day but quiet at night and we felt safe there at all times. The hotel is very close to La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Also nearby is a taxi stand, two metro stations, bus stops for city buses and hop-on-hop-off buses. We took the metro to Sagrada Familia and to Parc Guell, then walked back from both. The Placa Catalunya was a 20 minute walk. Alternatively, we strolled down La Rambla from the upper part a block from the hotel, down through the busy section, to the waterfront in 40 easy minutes, passing many restaurants along the way. Barcelona itself was beautiful, sunny and hot and the hotel was a wonderful place to stop in for a break from the heat and to come ”home” to at the end of the day. I wholeheartedly recommend the Suites Avenue and would definitely stay there again.

The reception staff was very enthusiastic, helped us with our luggage, guided us to see the available space and asked if we needed to help book a rental to the airport the next morning.
There is a French kitchen restaurant that can be used all day, and coffee milk hot water is complete. By the way, their coffee machine can choose the language.
There is a small courtyard, but smoking is not allowed.
Overall a very pleasant experience.

Situated within an easy walk to some of Gaudi’s most impressive buildings, fine shopping and dining with its own Michelin restaurant on premises, there wasn’t much to be desired in this boutique hotel, save for some minor details. In our case, although we arrived on an early flight and we’re aware check in was not until 3 as we’d been informed when I placed my reservation noting our arrival time - and the concierge agreeably stored our luggage as we took in local sights - we were notified while having lunch a room with a better view would not be available until 5 pm. We decided to wait for that option and made use of the rooftop pool lounges for a late afternoon siesta. Shortly after 5, I went to reception and was informed the room was ready. While adequate in terms of space - with a small sitting area adjacent to the sleeping area - I can’t say there was a view per se as it basically looked over rooftops, perhaps what could be devastating a small courtyard. The bat was actually quite large in comparison but for some reason of design I don’t understand there was a step to the commode area - causing some stumbles during the middle of the night until we were properly acclimated. As I like to tune into the news in the morning while dressing, I mentioned the TV remote in the bed area was not working, however, this was not addressed during our stay. Relatively minor issues all in all in an otherwise comfortable and safe 3 day stay.

The hotel will inform the nearest parking lot, about 20 euros is the price of the hotel stamp (or 30 euros or so), you can charge by the hour. 2. The hotel apartment is a 4-storey building with two elevators in the middle, and the 4th floor (3rd floor in Europe) with a large terrace should be very good in the winter. Enter the iron gate with the password, there is no front desk in the lobby, but there are cleaning service personnel, basically no room service during the stay. The overall feeling is more private and safe. 3. The room is relatively clean and fairly clean. The room type has a master bedroom with a washroom, a room with a slightly smaller guest guard (also a shower) across the walkway, and a kitchen with a washing machine fridge. The large terrace outside the guest restaurant is very comfortable. 4. There are many shops in the surrounding areas, and there are several supermarkets including relatively large ones. Buying ingredients can improve the Chinese stomach.

To gain access to our room, we received an email with a page of instructions , a link to an app we had to use, and 4 sets of passcodes that collectively allowed us to get into the building, into the lobby, onto our floor, and into our room. Here was part of the instructions “To open the glass door before the lift (not the street door) you will have to combine pressing the button on the intercom that says “2º2ª A” plus the “Next Door” option on our Akiles cell phone access tool.” Whaaaaat? The room was big (I think we had one of the more expensive rooms ) and once the air conditioning got cranked up, it was comfortable to sleep in for the next four nights. The breakfasts were satisfactory and included yogurt, bread slices, cheese, some cold meat, and then a warm egg dish each day. With that said, it was disappointing that in a city town full of bakeries, the BnB did not provide a selection of fresh croissants, rolls, etc. One day they did have a fresh looking cake which the front desk person said was left over from the owner's birthday party for her son. Yes, you are reading that correctly. We received seconds. The B&B provides wall-mounted dispensers of soap and shampoo in the shower – a nice touch. Our soap dispenser was empty. We removed it from the wall of the first day in hopes that the hotel would replenish it during our stay, but they never did. Outside of our room, the B&B had a Nespresso machine and a kettle for hot tea. This was a nice touch but the dirty dishes were not removed nor the supplies replenished for the first three days we were there. I do not mean to be nit-picky in my review but when you pay top dollar for an accommodation, your standards and expectations are higher.

The hotel is beautiful and although the room was small and had no view, it had everything you could require with the most comfortable bed. The shower had great pressure and although there is no kettle in the room, there is a coffee Dock on 6th floor with a fabulous roof top sun area. All staff where excellent, be aware taxis cost around €50 from the airport. Breakfast was not included but honestly there is an amazing restaurant that is2 doors down, opens at 7.30 am and is well priced and tasty. After our experience I would now have Ona hotels as my go to hotel in any area they are in.

We would absolutely stay here again! FRONT DESK - Very kind and professional. Offered a glass of cava and water upon arrival even though our room was not quite ready. ROOM - We stayed in a Deluxe Garden room. This might have been my favorite part of our stay. There was a nook with a desk and two little doors that opened to face the hotel’s courtyard with views of La Pedrera. Magical. The room was spacious and bright. AC, shower, and wi-fi all worked great. Nespresso machine in room was useful. Robe and slippers were a nice touch. LOCATION - Located in Eixample right off of Passeig de Gràcia. Super convenient for shopping + Gaudí sightseeing. In the area, we enjoyed coffee from Good News and tapas for dinner from a cozy local spot called Lo Pinyol. AMENITIES - There are multiple pools, a lovely garden courtyard for having a drink, tapas, and/or working, and a really striking rooftop bar area with views of La Pedrera. The common spaces made it hard to want to leave the hotel at times.

After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

It is very close to La Pedrera, Casa Batllo and Plaza Catalunya. We all go shopping on foot. About ten minutes away. Barcelona is very beautiful, the weather is also very good, it is very comfortable to walk around
