I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Suzhou for a two-day holiday, and while the overall experience was good, there were a few details that could be improved. Starting with check-in, the hotel had overbooked and adjusted my room type, giving me an upgrade. The upgraded room was larger and more spacious, maintaining the Park Hyatt's signature elegance and comfort, which was a definite plus. However, I should also mention that this upgrade came at the cost of the view – I had originally hoped for a Ferris wheel view, which was no longer available, and that did slightly impact my stay. Dining was also a highlight. The hotel's Black Pearl Chinese restaurant specializes in authentic Huaiyang cuisine. Both the taste and presentation were exquisite, with fresh ingredients and perfect cooking temperatures. Every dish was of high quality and a major standout of my stay. Furthermore, the service experience left a strong impression. A special thank you to my butlers, Tracy and Danny, who provided meticulous and thoughtful assistance during my stay. Their responsiveness and communication were very efficient, making the entire trip smoother and more comfortable. Overall, this is a hotel with excellent hardware and dining, but there's still room for improvement in room allocation management and communication details. If they could offer more transparent and flexible options when handling overbookings and room adjustments in the future, I believe the overall experience would be even more perfect. I would still consider staying here again if I return to Suzhou, and I look forward to seeing a more mature and stable service performance.

Whenever I visit Suzhou, I always choose to stay at Hotel Nikko. The service is consistently excellent, and the location is superb – right by a subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. The rooms are very comfortable, and the shower pressure is fantastic. Every staff member, from the cleaning aunties to the front desk and concierge, is incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied!

Suzhou Railway Station District Suzhou|4.54km from city center
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Suzhou Railway Station. However, the soft headboard in the room had a strange odor that gave me a headache. Sleeping with my head at the foot of the bed helped. There was no air conditioning (neither heating nor cooling) available during this season. When checking in, the front desk staff strongly pushed for a 'two-headed' room, though I'm not sure why. The room was well-cleaned, and the floor staff provided great service. The room itself was spacious, equipped with standard old-fashioned hotel amenities like a sofa, writing desk, and luggage rack, offering more comfort and space than typical business hotels. The breakfast in the restaurant was decent with a good variety, including a live cooking station.

I am definitely a frequent traveler/stayer/eater, and I have experienced many high-end hotels/boutique B&Bs/boutique restaurants. But this time I want to say: This boutique B&B (inn) is worth my recommendation. 1. The owner of the inn is a famous Suzhou garden designer, so the taste and foundation of the inn are very good. 2. The male and female managers have a good hobby and cultivation of tea art/meditation and meditation, which adds a lot of added value and fun to the inn. 3. In addition to the good breakfast included in the inn, the inn owner will also invite customers to join their private lunch and dinner, which is very authentic Hunan cuisine, which is simply a unique and exquisite dish in Tongli. 4. Warm and warm service and feeling. . . . Of course, other routine services are also very good, so I won’t say more. In short, recommended!

great little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.

The hotel has a parking lot, which was very convenient for us since we were driving. We could get a parking voucher at the bar. When I booked the room, I thought the swimming pool looked good. There were not many people there. I looked at the room first and felt it was acceptable, so I checked in and went swimming. It was a pity that there was no notice posted about the swimming pool and gym, maybe they were under renovation, so they were not open. When I booked the room, there was a dinner set and breakfast, which was clean and hygienic. We didn't finish the dinner, and there was everything from milk bread to steamed buns, noodles and watermelon for breakfast. I will choose it next time.

This stay was a complete surprise from start to finish, and I have to rave about it! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and elegant, with exceptionally healing views. Every step offers a new scene that helps you relax and escape the city's hustle and bustle, making for a truly comfortable and pleasant stay. It happened to be our 10th wedding anniversary, and after mentioning it briefly to the front desk, the hotel was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded us for free to a private hot spring courtyard room! The courtyard was quiet and private, and having our own hot spring was serene and romantic – it absolutely set the perfect mood, full of ceremony. The room was clean and tidy, with a warm and comfortable layout, and attention to detail was evident everywhere. The service was gentle and attentive, warm and considerate without being intrusive. The entire experience was superb. From the environment and room type to the heartwarming service, everything was impeccable. It was a truly memorable stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The hotel was located at the lake with an amazing view. The rooms was really nice and super clean and the mattress was really comfortable to sleep very well. The facility of the hotel was nice and very stylish, all in white and modern. The hotel was really lovely. The only thing that is really not good organised, there is no food except breakfast and afternoon tea (in that case fruits). We needed to order from a delivery service (only Chinese food available and it's was not really good). A hotel located at that wonderful place with that high price should have basic foods at the restaurant.

The room was spacious. I booked last minute on May 1st, so the lake view rooms were fully booked, which was a shame. However, you can still enjoy the beautiful lake view from the breakfast area, lobby bar, and lounge. Even though the hotel was fully booked, it didn't feel crowded at all. There were lots of tents camping along Lake Tai, which was a really nice touch. I'd love to come back and experience it again. The hotel staff were all very welcoming, it felt just like coming home! 😆

Our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime. Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor. The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This is one of my favorite hotels! The stay included two hot spring tickets, but the front desk staff, knowing I was traveling alone, thoughtfully swapped one for a breakfast voucher instead. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I really liked the Chinese-style decor. The bed was super comfy, and even the hairdryer was good. They even gave me snacks upon check-in – extra thoughtful! The breakfast buffet was plentiful, a great mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The robot ice cream machine was a fun touch; I had two, and they were delicious. The hot springs were also excellent. I visited at the tail end of a holiday, so it was quiet with fewer people. There's also some lovely scenery nearby. Unfortunately, I only had time to visit Emerald Lake, but it was truly beautiful and put a perfect end to my trip. If any friends come to Suzhou, I'll definitely recommend they stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located in Wujiang district, by a beautiful, expansive lake. We were upgraded to a scenic room in the main building because our original lakeside villa room was under maintenance. The room was large, clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with a comfortable balcony offering a partial lake view. The breakfast spread was comprehensive, and we particularly enjoyed the seasonal 'daoyu' (swordfish) wontons, which were incredibly delicious. The hotel's service was excellent; they were very responsive to all our requests and even established WeChat contact with guests to proactively inquire about and introduce tourist needs. My husband and I were met with the warmest of welcomes here! The hosts and staff were all really friendly and willing to even prepare some dinner for us after we arrived late in the evening. The gardens are beautiful and well-tended and lovely to just walk around in or sit and enjoy. We had a queen bed room Mountain View - which was quite spacious, smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean, with sufficient amenities even a balcony and mini-sauna. Breakfast was local-style and very filling. This location is great for a remote getaway experience, for some peace and quiet and if you want to explore nature. The only thing to note is that the surrounding village is rather small so there aren’t many other food options/ stores etc, so best to come prepared. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are hoping to return in the spring!

Pros: Heartwarming Service, Extra Points for Pet-Friendliness I must particularly praise the hotel's service. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently enthusiastic and responded to requests promptly. What's especially noteworthy is how friendly the staff were towards pets, proactively addressing the needs of guests traveling with animals. This was the most satisfying aspect of my stay. Cons: Details Need Improvement, Experience Compromised 1. **Hardware Shortcomings:** The soundproofing isn't very good. I could easily hear doors closing in the hallway at night, which affected my sleep quality. 2. **Limited Dining Options for Pets:** Guests with pets are restricted to only a few tables near the front desk for dining, lacking a sense of exclusivity. 3. **Flawed Breakfast Registration Process:** There was no one at the restaurant entrance to check guests in. An auntie suddenly approached me to ask for my room number while I was getting food. After I had settled down with my food, I went back into the restaurant for a drink and was asked again. The process is redundant and lacks proper standardization. 4. **Pet-Friendliness is Superficial:** Although pets are allowed and the staff are enthusiastic, designating only the area near the front desk for pet dining falls short of genuine ”pet-friendliness.” Overall Impression The professionalism of the service team and their pet-friendly attitude are commendable. However, the shortcomings in hardware facilities and service details are quite prominent. If the soundproofing could be improved, and especially if the pet dining area planning could be optimized and service procedures standardized, the overall experience would be significantly enhanced.

A super satisfying experience, the number of rooms is just right for us. Hygienic: The room is very clean, the bathroom has no smell, hot water is sufficient, and several rooms will not affect the bath at the same time. Service: The service is very good, the group will be pulled in advance, and all kinds of needs will be responded quickly. Hardware: It can be seen that the boss is still very careful in the operation, all kinds of decoration designs have been spent on. This trip brought children, dining chair toys, staying in tatami room type is also very suitable, not afraid of children falling out of bed.

My stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel beautifully recreates the aesthetics of the ancient Wu Kingdom from the Spring and Autumn period, with its pavilions, terraces, and waterside promenades showcasing classic Suzhou elegance. Every step offers a picturesque view. As a project under Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, its unique foresight in choosing a prime location in the heart of the ancient city back in 1995 is remarkable. It also boasts a rich history, having hosted numerous dignitaries. Guests can enjoy free access to Panmen Gate by using their room key, and it's incredibly convenient to visit core attractions like Canglang Pavilion, Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Xiyuan Temple. Plus, the hotel's own restaurants, like Ruigarden Noodle House, are definitely worth trying – it truly enhances the overall experience!

Perched on the 28th to 51st floors, the Shangri-La on Tayuan Road perfectly embodies elegance in its spacious 64-square-meter rooms. The overall design features a modern and sophisticated foundation, subtly incorporating Suzhou-style ingenuity. The warm wooden furniture echoes the gentle beauty of Jiangnan water towns, while minimalist lines define the crispness of garden architecture. Intricate embroidery patterns and ink wash decorations discreetly convey the aesthetics of Gusu. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows are the biggest surprise. By day, they offer sweeping views of the bustling Tayuan Road, capturing the vibrant city. By night, they frame the flickering lights of the ancient city, with a hazy outline of distant mountains intertwining with close-up scenes. The city and ancient charm merge, allowing you to recline and embrace a window-side view of a Jiangnan ink wash painting, as if living in a Gusu dream atop the clouds. True luxury is found in the details and warmed by the service. The guest butlers here embody the meticulousness and warmth of Jiangnan people in their daily service. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully prepare seasonal fruits and exquisite Suzhou-style desserts. One bite of their sweet freshness unlocks the gentle charm of Jiangnan. They proactively provide detailed travel guides, not only recommending popular gardens and ancient temples but also thoughtfully sharing hidden gems like small, authentic Suzhou noodle shops and secret photo spots. This allows you to avoid crowds and truly experience the authentic local life of old Suzhou. Throughout your stay, they offer attentive guidance and detailed responses, always online but never intrusive, ensuring every need is gently met. This is truly what it means to feel at home. The culinary journey is also filled with Gusu charm. The Suzhou braised pork noodles at Shang Palace are exceptional. The broth is slow-simmered, fresh, sweet, and rich. The braised pork is perfectly balanced with fat and lean, melting in your mouth, and the noodles are springy and smooth. One bowl fills you with the comforting warmth of an old Suzhou family's kitchen. The executive lounge is the perfect place to unwind at dusk. Sitting by the window, watching the city lights gradually illuminate, with the rich aroma of fine wine in hand, the brilliance of a modern city meets the tranquility of ancient Gusu. A gentle breeze blows, and for a moment, you can't tell if you're amidst the bustling clouds or intoxicated by a thousand-year-old Gusu. From the ancient Pingjiang alleys to luxurious cloud-top living, from garden ink wash paintings to modern splendor, the Suzhou Tayuan Road Shangri-La is more than just an accommodation. It's an art museum of Suzhou aesthetics that can be lived in, appreciated, and felt. It’s built upon the foundation of a thousand-year-old Gusu and grounded in five-star luxury, perfectly blending the gentle poetry of Jiangnan with modern comfort and convenience. While deeply mesmerized by the classical beauty of Suzhou, I also developed a profound fondness for the warmth and elegance hidden on Tayuan Road. This trip to Gusu was made complete by discovering the Tayuan Road Shangri-La. It holds the soul of Suzhou and warms the hearts of travelers, becoming the most precious and unforgettable exclusive memory of this journey. On future visits to Gusu, this will undoubtedly be my top choice for a stay.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's just three stops on Metro Line 4 from the train station, right outside the hotel, and Line 6 is also nearby, making travel very convenient! Upon entering the lobby, my first impression was how grand and clean it was. The greeters were all smiling, proactively saying hello, which felt very welcoming. After a quick check-in, I found the room to be exactly as depicted in the official pictures – very clean, with a comfortable view. The garden-view room offered a lovely sight of lush green trees and a river. I also want to thank all the staff at the breakfast buffet. They meticulously prepared a variety of Ningbo specialty snacks. I could really feel the kitchen's dedication to letting guests from all over experience local Ningbo flavors. I want to say that your hard work is appreciated. Thanks to the hotel's F&B and service departments for their efforts, which made our trip incredibly satisfying and enjoyable. Outside Tongli Ancient Town Suzhou|21.92km from city center
The hotel is located by Tongli Lake, surrounded by the lake on three sides. Being under the Hengli Group, the service, hygiene, and dining are all excellent. It's a shame that the development of Tongli Lake and Tongli Ancient Town is a bit disappointing. The environmental management of Tongli Lake is poor, with many dead fish floating on the surface. Many shops in Tongli Ancient Town are closed, and the lake is full of leaves and dust. Yet, the ancient town still charges an 80 RMB entrance fee during the day, which feels a bit steep. These factors must surely affect the hotel's business. Consequently, many of the hotel's older facilities haven't been updated in a timely manner, especially the faucets and showers; all the fittings are peeling, and the main showerhead in the shower room isn't working. However, these drawbacks haven't diminished my personal liking for Hengli Group hotels. I hope that through overall improvements in the surrounding area, the hotel can continue to upgrade and enhance the customer experience. Also, the breakfast was good, though there could have been a few more varieties of stir-fried green leafy vegetables.

Crowne Plaza Suzhou is hands down my favorite hotel when it comes to attention to detail. They truly excel at it – the lobby scent is delightful, the elevator buttons are sanitized, the hallway carpets are so clean there are no footprints, bottled water in the room is replenished daily, bedside charging ports are conveniently placed, the blackout curtains make it feel like night, shower water temperature is perfectly consistent, and the breakfast noodles are freshly cooked. Plus, the staff's smiles feel genuinely warm. Individually, these details might seem minor, but together they create a truly comfortable experience. Of course, the big things are impressive too – the prime Jinji Lake view, its direct position facing the Gate of the Orient, and the unique cruise ship-themed design are all solid selling points. While the room decor isn't brand new, it's clean and comfortable, and opening the window allows for good ventilation, so there are no strange odors. The bed and pillows are also quite comfortable. The service was excellent; the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast and a small gift. They even extended my check-out time due to an unexpected issue when I was leaving. The only downside is that the rooms aren't very soundproof. I'm not sure if it was guests from another room chatting, but I could constantly hear them talking, which was a bit noisy. This Qingming holiday, I stayed at three hotels, and Wyndham was by far the best! Before booking, I saw some complaints about it being old, but I thought it was normal. For an established hotel, the hardware might be older, but what really matters is the soft services. Traveling with my child, I always feel more secure with well-known hotel brands. And indeed, I was very satisfied upon arrival. Our room was upgraded, and it was huge. The bathroom and walk-in closet felt almost like a suite layout. It was clean, and the bedding was comfortable. My child absolutely loved the classic European-style bed, feeling like a princess. The air conditioning was the absolute best. In March and April, I've stayed at Westin, Hilton, and Pullman, all of which had issues with the AC not being able to cool down enough, making the bedding feel stuffy. But at Wyndham, especially during this sudden warm spell, the Honeywell air conditioning was incredibly powerful. It provided the perfect, most comfortable temperature for sleeping under the covers that I'd experienced in days.

I loved the plush bed, spacious room, well-equipped gym, and the uncrowded swimming pool. The breakfast spread was also very generous. Everything was just perfect and incredibly satisfying. A big thank you to Doris—I'm already planning to stay here again at the end of the month.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one comes straight from the heart. Our stay at Naked Water in Suzhou was unforgettable—not just because of the breathtaking scenery or the stunning villa with its private pools (yes, both hot and lukewarm!), but because of the people who made our time there genuinely magical. A special thanks to Devin, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to help organize a private in-villa dining experience for my proposal. With the help of Nancy and Adrian—two incredibly kind and thoughtful staff members—they set up a beautifully decorated table inside our villa, complete with fresh flowers, flawless food presentation, and a warm, graceful presence throughout the evening. They even prepared parting gifts for us and were on hand for anything we needed, always with a smile. Their support turned my carefully planned moment into something even more meaningful. I’ll never forget it—and neither will my now fiancée. The villa itself was gorgeous—secluded, serene, and perfectly designed for relaxation. Waking up to the quiet of nature, soaking in the private pools, and spotting the resort’s friendly pets wandering about (yes, it’s pet-friendly!) made the entire experience feel intimate and grounding. This place isn’t just a getaway—it’s where memories are made. We’re already planning to come back for our anniversary. Eternally grateful.

This was a great value-for-money stay, and a fantastic place for kids! 😂 Originally, after the concert, I wanted to head home, but my child didn't want to leave, and it started raining with nowhere else to go, so we ended up here. Although we missed the midday activities, there's a kids' play area and a pool. Both Chinese and Western meals can be enjoyed at the hotel. You can hand your child over to the hotel's kids' activities, and the adults can relax nearby. The hotel environment and service are excellent, the room facilities are great, and the views outside are beautiful. The room booking included one breakfast, and children over 6 years old pay half price. Personally, I found the breakfast buffet to be much better value than the lunch buffet. You can reserve a table, and the restaurant offers beautiful lake views.

The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou was the most delightful surprise of our trip. The hotel's design has a distinctive character. Our room was elegant, clean, and comfortable, and I particularly loved the balcony overlooking the garden. During the day, the red maples contrasted beautifully with the white walls, and lush greenery framed the windows, capturing the serene essence of a Jiangnan garden. As night fell, the courtyard lights illuminated, and tree shadows danced on the water, adding a touch of peaceful mystery to the daytime elegance. Grabbing a complimentary beer from the fridge, I leaned against the railing, feeling the evening breeze whisper through the trees – a moment of pure, springtime relaxation. The dining experience was equally enjoyable. The breakfast's spicy oil noodles and mixed noodles were incredibly flavorful, and my family couldn't stop raving about the wontons. I, however, was particularly fond of the Italian coffee at the bar; one sip brought a wonderful warmth. Upon arrival, the Happy Hour at the 168 Pavilion Bar offered a relaxed setting with excellent food and drinks. Even more impressive was the warmth of the staff. Every attendant was kind and soft-spoken. We encountered a minor issue during our stay, but the young lady assisting us resolved it with such thoughtful and meticulous care that we were truly touched. Coincidentally meeting Kelly, the hotel's adopted Labrador, upon check-out, further reinforced the feeling that this elegant space held a gentle, heartwarming charm. The appeal of Bamboo Grove extends beyond its design and scenery; it seamlessly weaves the elegance and comforting warmth of Jiangnan into every single detail.

This hotel boasts a beautiful environment and an excellent location with convenient transportation. There are plenty of dining options on Shiquan Street and Fenghuang Street. It's just a five-minute walk to the Master of the Nets Garden, offering a peaceful retreat in a bustling area. It consistently provides a comfortable stay and is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Suzhou. The front desk staff provides attentive and detailed service, and the housekeeping team is warm and proactive. The hotel breakfast is quite rich, and I highly recommend the local specialties like Suzhou-style noodles, pan-fried buns, and crab roe soup dumplings. The hotel's Yanyanglou Noodle Restaurant is also worth recommending; the group purchase voucher offers great value for money! I've stayed in the duplex room multiple times, and it's perfect for family trips – highly recommended! The only minor disappointment was that during my Chinese New Year stay, L'Occitane toiletries were provided, but for this May Day holiday, they were replaced with an unknown brand. I hope the hotel continues to maintain its high-quality standards!

I really loved this hotel! The location is fantastic – just a short walk, a few dozen meters, to the lobby after exiting the subway station and turning right. The lobby is grand, and the staff are both warm and attractive. My room had a balcony with a view of Jinji Lake, which was truly excellent value for money. The breakfast area was very clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. Those who enjoy Western-style breakfast will be in luck, though my favorite wontons weren't available, everything else was great. The hotel even gave us complimentary tickets to the auto show at the neighboring exhibition center, which was a pleasant surprise. From the hotel, you can easily walk to the Suzhou Art Center, Moonlight Wharf, Eslite Bookstore, and Xingguangtiandi, plus there's a park nearby. I've been to Suzhou several times, and this hotel was by far the most satisfying. I'm already planning to come back next month.

Facilities: Fully equipped and as comfortable as home. My kids actually said ”wow” as soon as they opened the door. Minibar on first night: My kids loved the complimentary snacks on the first night. Garment care experience: I absolutely loved the garment care machine. I've stayed in so many hotels and guesthouses, and this is the first time I've encountered such a high-end appliance. The experience was truly excellent. Environment: The view from the window is superb. There are two large shopping malls nearby, and it's very close to the subway station. There's also a cruise ship terminal nearby. It's a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle. Fantastic! Service: We received a free room upgrade, and the butler was very attentive and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Suzhou!

Great location and comfortable stay. The space is clean and modern. The best experience is the comfort of the bed and pillows which provides a very good rest. The height of our room makes the space much bigger. The room design is great. We wondered about the need for separation of the toilet and shower though which made it a little inconvenient. Apart from that, the stay is great, quiet and restful, while just a few steps away from shopping and food.

Loved it! The staff were so warm and welcoming, they even contacted me in advance and helped with my luggage upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, making for some lovely photos indoors. It was raining when we arrived, and they kindly provided free clear umbrellas. The hotel is super close to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden – less than a 10-minute walk! Pingjiang Road is right next door, and there's also a boat dock. You'll find plenty of travel photography studios on Pingjiang Road if you're interested. For breakfast, you can head to Yaba Shengjian, it's about a ten-minute walk. On your way back, you can stroll along Pingjiang Road – it's lovely and quiet in the early morning, perfect for photos. The main branch of Li Baixie (a restaurant) is also nearby, so you can go early to make a reservation. Our room had two 1.5-meter double beds, which was very comfortable for two pairs of mothers and daughters! If I ever visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose this place. 👍 The first photo is the hotel entrance, and the last two are of Pingjiang Road nearby.

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

Couldn't believe there was such a stylish hotel right in the popular Shantang Street scenic area. As soon as I walked in, I was drawn in by the unique design. The lobby was very spacious, and even more surprising was the complimentary minibar in the room, stocked with BaiSuiShan water, which was a nice touch. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the station, which I didn't get to use since I drove, but parking was also free. That's a real rarity in the old city center where space is at a premium. The breakfast also had a great variety. Overall, a very satisfying trip.

Immersive, Zen-inspired experience: “Hidden away in this bustling city is a tranquil sanctuary. The moment I slid open the wooden door, it felt as if I had been transported to an ancient machiya in Kyoto. The room was filled with a subtle scent of tatami, and the natural wood furniture with minimalist lines exuded a 'wabi-sabi' aesthetic throughout. My favorite time was in the evening, sitting at the low table by the window, brewing a pot of tea, and gazing at the karesansui garden outside. All the inner turmoil gradually faded away. There was no excessive disturbance here, just the perfect amount of space and serenity—a truly healing journey that allowed my mind and body to return to nature.” Concise yet evocative short review: “A living space rich in oriental aesthetics, with restrained yet elegant design. Attentive service.”

Our neighbors were singing loudly late at night, but the front desk staff promptly intervened and resolved the issue after we reported it, which was great service. The toilet in our room also got clogged, and they fixed it right away. The only downside is the poor soundproofing; for both nights, we had noisy women next door, which was quite disruptive and gave me a headache. Before our trip, we had informed the hotel that we were traveling with a young child. Perhaps the note wasn't properly communicated upon check-in, or it could be due to peak travel season, but the hotel was full, and we ended up with loud neighbors.

This stay really exceeded expectations! The homestay and the pictures are completely the same, every corner is hidden from the landlord's intentions, the log wind decoration is warm and healing, and the photos are huge. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the hygiene is super in place, the bathroom is clean and odorless, and even the toiletries are prepared. The landlord was warm and caring, sent detailed check-in guidelines in advance, and hand-painted the surrounding food and niche attractions. The recommended restaurants are super authentic. The location is also absolutely, just a few minutes walk to the subway station, surrounded by supermarkets and restaurants, and travel is super convenient. The facilities are full, high-speed WiFi, high-definition projectors are all available, and the stay is more comfortable than the hotel. The price is super high, I have recommended it to my friends, I will choose this one next time!
