Facilities: We booked a private hot spring villa, and having a hot spring tub right in the room was so convenient! The two kids had a blast soaking in it. Hygiene: The room was spotless, and the hotel's public areas were also very tidy. Environment: The space is vast with lots of greenery – a great place to breathe in some fresh air. Service: You need to take a shuttle from the lobby to the room, but they even deliver food right to your door, which was incredibly thoughtful!

The hotel was located at the lake with an amazing view. The rooms was really nice and super clean and the mattress was really comfortable to sleep very well. The facility of the hotel was nice and very stylish, all in white and modern. The hotel was really lovely. The only thing that is really not good organised, there is no food except breakfast and afternoon tea (in that case fruits). We needed to order from a delivery service (only Chinese food available and it's was not really good). A hotel located at that wonderful place with that high price should have basic foods at the restaurant.

Last year I stayed at the nearby East Taihu Hotel. This year I tried the Le Meridien. As soon as I entered the lobby I saw the beautiful lake view. The room was large and the facilities were very good. It was my first time staying here. I upgraded to a lake view room. It was super good. There were not many types of food in the morning, but there were enough to eat. The service was also very good. I will come again next time

Our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime. Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor. The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The room was spacious and quite clean. We booked this hotel specifically for its hot springs, and it didn't disappoint. There are 12 pools in total, all very clean. We had unlimited access to the pools during our stay, and the provided towels and slippers were spotless. We tried all the different temperatures, ranging from 28 to 41 degrees Celsius, and really enjoyed the fish spa – it was a lot of fun! Behind the hotel, there's a mountain covered in bayberry trees with a long wooden boardwalk, perfect for hiking. After a hike, a dip in the hot springs is incredibly relaxing. We also stumbled upon electric scooters for rent along the scenic road, which was a pleasant surprise. This place is a hidden gem! We'll definitely be back when the bayberries are ripe.

My husband and I were met with the warmest of welcomes here! The hosts and staff were all really friendly and willing to even prepare some dinner for us after we arrived late in the evening. The gardens are beautiful and well-tended and lovely to just walk around in or sit and enjoy. We had a queen bed room Mountain View - which was quite spacious, smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean, with sufficient amenities even a balcony and mini-sauna. Breakfast was local-style and very filling. This location is great for a remote getaway experience, for some peace and quiet and if you want to explore nature. The only thing to note is that the surrounding village is rather small so there aren’t many other food options/ stores etc, so best to come prepared. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are hoping to return in the spring!

I went to Xishan with friends to relax over the weekend and happened to come across this place. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and quiet environment. You can climb to the top of Piaomiao Peak along the way. There are mountains and water, and the three big white geese in the river are very lively. You can also go boating. Hygienic: The room is very clean, the bathroom has no smell, hot water is sufficient, and several rooms will not affect the bath at the same time. Service: The service is very good, the group will be pulled in advance, and all kinds of needs will be responded quickly. This hotel is a relatively large garden hotel in the city, and the facilities are pretty good. Online reviews are mixed, some good, some not so good. Since we were having a family gathering in Suzhou for Chinese New Year, we decided to stay here. The room facilities were decent, and we had a view of the swimming pool from our window. The hotel was fully booked for the holiday, so parking in the garage was very tight. The decor might be a bit old-fashioned; the ventilation fan and light in the bathroom shared a single switch. It was quite cold taking a shower in winter as the fan couldn't be turned off, and it was right above my head. The hotel's environment is lovely, with many picturesque spots for photos. The breakfast area, lobby, and coffee shop particularly left a strong impression. However, the Chinese restaurant's food was quite ordinary.

The afternoon tea at Shangri-La Suzhou truly deserves praise! Perched on the 48th floor, their 'Cloud Afternoon Tea' has a 'Guochao' (Chinese chic) theme, with such exquisite details you almost don't want to touch the pastries. The desserts are beautifully crafted and have a delicate taste. Paired with Biluochun tea, the aroma fills the air. You get an amazing panoramic view of Suzhou city while dining, creating an incredible ambiance. After exploring Tiger Hill, coming here for a relaxing tea break is perfect for unwinding. I had a great stay with my family on our trip to western Suzhou this time. The room package was fantastic; from 2 PM to 10 PM, we could enjoy afternoon tea, a simple dinner, and the evening lounge. With kids, we usually head back to rest around dinner time, or if they wake up from their nap, we can still catch afternoon tea before heading out again, which was lovely. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the subway station, just a 5-minute walk away. It's also about a 20-minute walk to Jinji Lake Scenic Area, which isn't too far. There's a supermarket nearby, so dining options are convenient, and it's easy to get to various attractions. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I visit.

I came to Suzhou for Liu Yuxin's XANADU 2.0 concert. I chose Hilton because it's a well-established brand and not far from the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre, which proved to be the right decision. I was very satisfied with the environment, service, and comfort. As soon as I arrived, hotel staff helped me with my luggage from the car, and then again when I got to my room. They also greeted me every time I took a taxi in or out. When I left, they helped with my luggage too. While I feel these services should be standard for a five-star hotel, not all five-star hotels pay attention to these details, so it's great that they maintain this standard! The room was also very comfortable and clean. My concert trip this time was satisfying in every aspect. Seeing my favorite singer perform, falling in love with the beautiful city of Suzhou, and a hotel that met my expectations – I'm very happy!

A 3-minute drive will take you to Tongli Ancient Town. The butler, Qiongqiong, will send you your location in advance and proactively arrange for you to share a room. Opening the door reveals a courtyard with blue-brick and gray-tiled roofs. A light rain is falling outside; sitting in a wicker chair, you can listen to the rain pattering on the banana leaves, and even the sounds of children playing become background noise in this water town. The hotel also has a restaurant; the butler's help in reserving a table is very thoughtful. The restaurant mainly serves Suzhou cuisine and is quite good.

The hotel's garden environment seamlessly blends traditional Suzhou gardens with modern design, creating a serene ambiance reminiscent of a Jiangnan ink wash painting. Located right next to the bustling Suzhou Center, it offers a peaceful retreat with its 'white walls, dark roof tiles, winding corridors, and lakeside pavilions,' even earning it the nickname 'mini Humble Administrator's Garden.' The hotel lobby boasts an impressive and grand design. Guest rooms incorporate a 'library' concept and are equipped with Dyson hairdryers. The lake-view rooms offer stunning vistas of Jinji Lake at dawn and during sunset. 'Su Mian Fang,' the hotel's noodle restaurant, is highly acclaimed and considered a must-try on any Suzhou food itinerary, with its hairy crab roe noodles being particularly memorable. The Suzhou-style red soup noodles at breakfast are also exceptionally delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, right by Jinji Lake, and within walking distance of Suzhou Center and the Gate of the Orient. This makes it incredibly convenient for both shopping and sightseeing, truly delivering an experience of 'bustling city life right outside your door, and tranquility within the grounds.' The butler service was meticulous and attentive, and the hotel's 'energy station,' offering complimentary drinks and snacks, also left a deep impression on me.

This hotel is located right next to Jinji Lake, and the surroundings are absolutely stunning – I can't praise them enough! The entire hotel is designed around the concept of a cruise ship sailing on the ocean, featuring a deck, bar, swimming pool, gym, and various restaurants. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the bedding is fresh and dry with no strange odors. The facilities and amenities are more than adequate for guests' needs. Overall, the staff service is excellent and impeccable; the lovely lady at the front desk even gave us a room upgrade. The breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, blending both Chinese and Western cuisine. A highlight for me was the freshly baked bread and hot dogs! Plus, the salad bar offering olive oil is a rare find and definitely a bonus. In the lobby, there are also a few really cool motorcycles on display, though I don't know their names as I hadn't seen them before. Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Located in the heart of the city, within walking distance to parks and shopping malls, it offers convenient transportation, making it a worry-free choice for both leisure and business travel. Room (Diplomat Suite): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The space is generous with ample natural light and a well-thought-out layout. However, the view outside the window is of the top of an opposite building, so the vista is only average, which is a slight drawback. Service & Breakfast: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The front desk, concierge, restaurant, and room service staff are all warm, courteous, and responsive. The breakfast selection, however, is relatively limited and feels a bit sparse compared to other five-star hotels in the same category. An improvement in variety would be welcome. Facility Maintenance: ⭐⭐⭐ The room is comfortable and odor-free, but the hotel has some age to it. Bathroom tiles show discoloration due to dampness, and the water flow from the faucet in the main bathroom's sink is a bit weak. Maintenance needs to be stepped up. Design Aesthetic: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Both the hotel's exterior and internal flow boast a strong design sensibility, offering a powerful visual impact that aligns perfectly with promotional images and texts. It's a highly recognizable spot worth visiting. Overall Summary: With its outstanding location and design, and attentive service, this is a worthy accommodation option if panoramic views and an extensive breakfast aren't top priorities.

I wouldn't recommend this place; besides the convenient location, everything else was truly indescribable. First, during check-in, I had booked two rooms, but one wasn't ready and they said I'd have to wait. That wait turned into a long ordeal. I called a few times to follow up, but got no response. After more than an hour, I went down to the front desk to complain, and only then was the check-in finally resolved. Then there's the hotel's corridor – it's endlessly long, and ridiculously, only one end has an elevator (I have no idea who designed that). If you happen to be staying in a room at the very end of the hall, you'll be getting a workout every day just walking back and forth. The elevator control system also had issues; sometimes it required a key card, other times it didn't. Overall, the experience was terrible. I especially wouldn't recommend it for those traveling with elderly people or children.

This hotel is really old, and the facilities look quite dated. The lobby is small and a bit cramped. The breakfast selection is pretty average, not very extensive, and the dining area was chaotic – we had to find our own table. I'm not sure if the hotel was selling breakfast to the public at the beginning of the year, but the diners were incredibly disorganized. Some elderly people were walking around with serving tongs, treating them as their personal utensils, and there were no staff members to manage the situation, which felt extremely unhygienic. I originally thought about using points for the hotel's dinner buffet, expecting that many restaurants might be closed during the New Year. However, I was told that point redemptions aren't allowed on holidays. The cash price for the buffet was higher than usual, at 288 per person, and the quality was very low-end. They had a mala tang hot pot, a few small seafood dishes, some hot dishes, and a few pieces of cheap, low-quality supermarket pastries – it was a complete rip-off. The air conditioning panel only had 'Auto' and 'Vent' modes. In 'Auto' mode, you had to set it to 27 degrees Celsius or higher to get any heat; otherwise, it would just blow cool air. What kind of strange AC system is that? I rarely leave bad reviews, but this stay was a truly terrible experience.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one comes straight from the heart. Our stay at Naked Water in Suzhou was unforgettable—not just because of the breathtaking scenery or the stunning villa with its private pools (yes, both hot and lukewarm!), but because of the people who made our time there genuinely magical. A special thanks to Devin, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to help organize a private in-villa dining experience for my proposal. With the help of Nancy and Adrian—two incredibly kind and thoughtful staff members—they set up a beautifully decorated table inside our villa, complete with fresh flowers, flawless food presentation, and a warm, graceful presence throughout the evening. They even prepared parting gifts for us and were on hand for anything we needed, always with a smile. Their support turned my carefully planned moment into something even more meaningful. I’ll never forget it—and neither will my now fiancée. The villa itself was gorgeous—secluded, serene, and perfectly designed for relaxation. Waking up to the quiet of nature, soaking in the private pools, and spotting the resort’s friendly pets wandering about (yes, it’s pet-friendly!) made the entire experience feel intimate and grounding. This place isn’t just a getaway—it’s where memories are made. We’re already planning to come back for our anniversary. Eternally grateful.

For my father's birthday, I chose the newest five-star hotel in Gusu District for this Suzhou trip. The Kimpton's architectural style, which blends traditional Suzhou gardens and water features with modern facilities and InterContinental's excellent guest services, made my father very satisfied with this year's birthday arrangements. Moreover, we unexpectedly encountered a snow scene after many years; that snowy breakfast time and the sunny departure will become unforgettable memories for our whole family. Of course, even a perfect jade has its flaws, so I'd like to offer some suggestions: 1. **Shoe-changing bench:** It's too light and easily slides when sat upon. The lower edge of the decorative painting behind it curves outward and could easily bump the back of one's head. This safety hazard definitely needs rectification. 2. **Luggage rack & drying rack:** For such a large room, there was no luggage rack. The only place that could barely accommodate a suitcase was also the only place to hang clothes. Freshly washed clothes inevitably drip, which is very impractical. I suggest adding a traditional retractable drying line in the bathroom and a drying rack in the south-facing courtyard. 3. **Privacy of the bathing area:** An open-plan modern design is fine for a king-size bed room, but it becomes awkward for a twin-bed room without a relatively enclosed bathing space. 4. **Bathroom door opening direction:** The outward-opening design is truly unreasonable, to the point that the bathmat can only be placed to the side, or the distance between the bottom of the door and the floor needs to be larger so it doesn't affect the mat when opening and closing. 5. **Switch locations are hard to find:** We couldn't find the switches for the two bedside lamps and the bathroom curtain for two days. I suggest that the concierge could briefly introduce the room facilities when escorting guests to their rooms to enhance the check-in experience, so guests don't have to waste time figuring out how to use them. 6. **Unstable shower water temperature:** The water temperature was slightly low on the first day but very comfortable on the second. 7. **Lighting:** The room is large, but the lighting points are a bit sparse, making the overall ambiance rather dim, especially on cloudy days and at night, which makes it difficult for guests with poor eyesight to see. 8. **Air conditioning system:** The heating was insufficient; it only met standards with the help of a space heater. 9. **Housekeeping service:** They were very friendly, but I hope they come to work not only with a smile but also with their brains. Although guests generally don't fuss over minor issues like forgetting things, such a work attitude is indeed unprofessional. After all, Kimpton Bamboo Grove is a boutique hotel under InterContinental, not a boutique guesthouse. Guesthouses can emphasize personal touch, but a hotel's foundation is standardization. 10. **Breakfast:** The Western options were generally good, especially the baked goods, which were quite decent by current hotel breakfast standards. They also offered heating service, and the butter and cream were in good condition. The freshly made French toast and seasonal panettone were also a pleasant surprise, actually meeting expectations. The pudding bread and pineapple buns are commendable. The cereal with milk and fruit yogurt area felt quite high-end for a basic room priced a little over 1000, and there were also simple options of three cheeses and fresh cold cuts. The only letdown was the scrambled eggs with milk, which were really not good – overcooked and bland. As a restaurant specializing in Su-style and Huaiyang cuisine, the Chinese breakfast selection was truly disappointing, especially the steamed items; none of them were up to par. The only satisfying item was the red soup noodles with braised pork, though from the perspective of Su-style noodles, these hard noodles weren't quite springy enough. But that's a minor issue, as many people prefer a softer texture. The red bean paste tangyuan (small glutinous rice balls) offered on the second day were quite good, with a rich bean paste. It would be even better if they could improve the heat retention, similar to how coffee was delivered to the glass room with a plastic lid on the first snowy day – that showed good awareness. Overall, the restaurant staff had excellent attitudes. What impressed me most was going for breakfast on the second day; they had already arranged seating based on my father's preference. Their proactiveness and enthusiasm in service were impeccable, especially the young women in green suits. The regular Huaiyang cuisine at Bamboo Grove Restaurant was also well-executed, but innovation in traditional dishes needs to be approached with caution. The professional skills of the waitstaff should be further trained to channel their enthusiasm for their jobs effectively and make the guests' dining experience even smoother.

Marriott's quality remains trustworthy. We brought our family here for a pre-Chinese New Year getaway, and the service and quality were both excellent. The room was very comfortable, with a high floor offering a great view. Zoe was incredibly enthusiastic and provided fantastic service at breakfast, and Lion was very attentive to our dining experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

I chose the Nanyuan Hotel specifically for a comfortable, relaxing, and unique experience with my parents, wanting to try out a garden-style hotel. Overall, the experience was pretty good. I think this hotel is perfect for those who haven't really experienced Jiangnan gardens before, or for older guests: ✅ Excellent location: Wangshi Garden is just 50 meters across the street. You can take a direct bus to Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden, or a taxi in about ten minutes. Shiquan Street is right next door, making it super convenient for dining and sightseeing. ✅ Well-equipped rooms: The rooms are very spacious, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom is excellent. Although the overall facilities are a bit dated, they are very well-maintained and clean. The water pressure is strong, and all toiletries are L'Occitane, which was reassuring to use. ✅ Pretty good breakfast: The breakfast spread was quite extensive, including Suzhou specialties like pan-fried buns (shengjianbao), plain noodles (yangchunmian), and pastries. I highly recommend the pan-fried buns – I thought they were especially delicious. What surprised me most was that the hotel breakfast offered Yakult and Jianchun milk, both of which I love to drink [Drinking milk tea R emoji]. ✅ Tranquil garden setting: The scenery is truly beautiful! It's a very traditional Jiangnan garden style. The concierge ladies at the hotel were also incredibly friendly and enthusiastic when explaining the attractions to us. Many of the people listening to the explanations were elderly uncles and aunties, and they seemed to really enjoy it. We even received a souvenir fan when we checked out. ❌ A few things that bothered me about the hotel: 1️⃣ The TV in the room only showed channels; you couldn't cast content to it. 2️⃣ The mini-bar in the hotel is not free, so be careful not to drink anything impulsively 😭. 3️⃣ I stayed in a family room, and the small bed was a sofa bed, not a proper single bed, so it wasn't super comfortable, but it was acceptable.

I was upgraded for free to a room on the 25th floor, which was large and spacious with complete facilities. The staff at the front desk, in housekeeping, and at the breakfast restaurant were all kind and friendly. The breakfast selection wasn't very diverse (I didn't see a single complete meat dish for two consecutive days).

Today is the fifth day of the ***** New Year, and the weather is beautiful. My husband and I, an elderly couple, are on a self-guided tour of Suzhou. We're staying at the Novotel Suzhou SIP. When Gao Li found out it was our first time on a self-guided tour and that we chose Novotel, she went above and beyond to optimize our room's orientation, floor level, and check-in time. For her thoughtful service, we'd like to give Gao Li a huge thumbs up! 👍👍👍
