Facilities: Fully equipped and as comfortable as home. My kids actually said ”wow” as soon as they opened the door. Minibar on first night: My kids loved the complimentary snacks on the first night. Garment care experience: I absolutely loved the garment care machine. I've stayed in so many hotels and guesthouses, and this is the first time I've encountered such a high-end appliance. The experience was truly excellent. Environment: The view from the window is superb. There are two large shopping malls nearby, and it's very close to the subway station. There's also a cruise ship terminal nearby. It's a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle. Fantastic! Service: We received a free room upgrade, and the butler was very attentive and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Suzhou!

Great location and comfortable stay. The space is clean and modern. The best experience is the comfort of the bed and pillows which provides a very good rest. The height of our room makes the space much bigger. The room design is great. We wondered about the need for separation of the toilet and shower though which made it a little inconvenient. Apart from that, the stay is great, quiet and restful, while just a few steps away from shopping and food.

Loved it! The staff were so warm and welcoming, they even contacted me in advance and helped with my luggage upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, making for some lovely photos indoors. It was raining when we arrived, and they kindly provided free clear umbrellas. The hotel is super close to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden – less than a 10-minute walk! Pingjiang Road is right next door, and there's also a boat dock. You'll find plenty of travel photography studios on Pingjiang Road if you're interested. For breakfast, you can head to Yaba Shengjian, it's about a ten-minute walk. On your way back, you can stroll along Pingjiang Road – it's lovely and quiet in the early morning, perfect for photos. The main branch of Li Baixie (a restaurant) is also nearby, so you can go early to make a reservation. Our room had two 1.5-meter double beds, which was very comfortable for two pairs of mothers and daughters! If I ever visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose this place. 👍 The first photo is the hotel entrance, and the last two are of Pingjiang Road nearby.

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

Couldn't believe there was such a stylish hotel right in the popular Shantang Street scenic area. As soon as I walked in, I was drawn in by the unique design. The lobby was very spacious, and even more surprising was the complimentary minibar in the room, stocked with BaiSuiShan water, which was a nice touch. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the station, which I didn't get to use since I drove, but parking was also free. That's a real rarity in the old city center where space is at a premium. The breakfast also had a great variety. Overall, a very satisfying trip.

My stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel beautifully recreates the aesthetics of the ancient Wu Kingdom from the Spring and Autumn period, with its pavilions, terraces, and waterside promenades showcasing classic Suzhou elegance. Every step offers a picturesque view. As a project under Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, its unique foresight in choosing a prime location in the heart of the ancient city back in 1995 is remarkable. It also boasts a rich history, having hosted numerous dignitaries. Guests can enjoy free access to Panmen Gate by using their room key, and it's incredibly convenient to visit core attractions like Canglang Pavilion, Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Xiyuan Temple. Plus, the hotel's own restaurants, like Ruigarden Noodle House, are definitely worth trying – it truly enhances the overall experience!

The hotel has a great location. The front desk staff were very welcoming with smiles and efficient during check-in, always ready to assist with any requests. There's also complimentary freshly ground coffee in the lobby. The room was spacious, and the shower had good water pressure. The bedding was comfortable. The hotel is very close to the subway, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It's also not far from various attractions. Overall, it was a great stay. Oh, and by the way, we accidentally left some medicine behind after checking out. The staff personally called to inform us, and we were able to retrieve it. Huge thanks to the housekeeping team and the front desk staff!

Immersive, Zen-inspired experience: “Hidden away in this bustling city is a tranquil sanctuary. The moment I slid open the wooden door, it felt as if I had been transported to an ancient machiya in Kyoto. The room was filled with a subtle scent of tatami, and the natural wood furniture with minimalist lines exuded a 'wabi-sabi' aesthetic throughout. My favorite time was in the evening, sitting at the low table by the window, brewing a pot of tea, and gazing at the karesansui garden outside. All the inner turmoil gradually faded away. There was no excessive disturbance here, just the perfect amount of space and serenity—a truly healing journey that allowed my mind and body to return to nature.” Concise yet evocative short review: “A living space rich in oriental aesthetics, with restrained yet elegant design. Attentive service.”

Our neighbors were singing loudly late at night, but the front desk staff promptly intervened and resolved the issue after we reported it, which was great service. The toilet in our room also got clogged, and they fixed it right away. The only downside is the poor soundproofing; for both nights, we had noisy women next door, which was quite disruptive and gave me a headache. Before our trip, we had informed the hotel that we were traveling with a young child. Perhaps the note wasn't properly communicated upon check-in, or it could be due to peak travel season, but the hotel was full, and we ended up with loud neighbors.

This stay really exceeded expectations! The homestay and the pictures are completely the same, every corner is hidden from the landlord's intentions, the log wind decoration is warm and healing, and the photos are huge. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the hygiene is super in place, the bathroom is clean and odorless, and even the toiletries are prepared. The landlord was warm and caring, sent detailed check-in guidelines in advance, and hand-painted the surrounding food and niche attractions. The recommended restaurants are super authentic. The location is also absolutely, just a few minutes walk to the subway station, surrounded by supermarkets and restaurants, and travel is super convenient. The facilities are full, high-speed WiFi, high-definition projectors are all available, and the stay is more comfortable than the hotel. The price is super high, I have recommended it to my friends, I will choose this one next time!
