Very much enjoyed our stay at this quirky but fun and charming hotel. The little red fridge was a really fun touch. The hotel was a bit confusing to negotiate but the staff was very helpful getting us to the right place. The location was great. We were able to walk to areas of interest.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was just as described and lived up to my expectations. This was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

This is the most satisfying hotel in this trip. I hope I can stay a few more days next time. The hotel has a beautiful appearance and the rooms are large and Scottish-style. Compare the prices of five-star hotels in London that cost only one, two, and one night The Balmoral 5k per night is well worth it! It's also very close to Waverley Bridge, just on Princes Street. Nothing to say about the location

We were soles tired right off the plane after figuring out that I had no license and could not get my rental car :( I took it well pouted and walked away. We took the Tram to St Andrew's Square. We needed to be in The border lands in Peebles. We stopped at the Edinburgh Grand. The men at the desk couldn't have been nicer! They called a taxi service not once but twice! They held our bags and said that their was a bar upstairs we could wait at with a wonderful and sweet cocktail waitress and relax. They came and got us when he arrived. Carried our bags to the taxi for us. We will tell this story many times in the future and we will thing of them all fondly.

Satisfied👍 When we checked in, the front desk found that we needed to wait, and immediately asked a man who could speak Chinese to serve us drinks. The little brother also helped us book a restaurant and was very responsible. The service is very good! The room environment is great. Breakfast is included in the room rate. It is on the 10th floor. The 12th floor is open in the morning and offers a panoramic view of Edinburgh. You can go up there after breakfast. The important thing to say is that breakfast is ordered from an English menu. With Tom's enthusiastic help, we chose the food we liked and had a great time eating it😋

Stayed her for three nights October 2022 with the Scotland Rugby League team prior to the Rugby League World Cup. What a great find this hotel was. Spotlessly clean and so very comfortable. Bedrooms roomy and the beds as comfortable as you can get. The food was excellent, and they catered for our every need. The breakfasts were amazing and the service was beyond reproach . Special shout out to our servers Chez, Shannon and the boss Karen. Could not have been better. A massive thank you and a great start to our World Rugby League Cup campaign . Defo use this hotel again.

This is a good place for backpackers. We stayed here for a couple of nights in a 12 bed dormitory. The beds were good with ample space to keep our stuffs. Toilers were clean. The receptionists were friendly and approachable. The check-in time is 2 PM, so if you arrive early, you'll need to wait in the locker room and help yourself to some coffee. Or else you can keep your bags in a locker and roam around the city till you are ready to check-in. Early check-in is also available, but subject to availability of beds/rooms. Overall, quite good.

The real thing matches the picture perfectly! The host sister was super considerate and prepared fruits and candies🍬 to welcome us! The kitchen supplies and tableware are all complete, and those who cook will be happy! There was only a double bed, and there were three of us. One boy slept on the sofa. We communicated with the landlady in advance and got permission to prepare an extra quilt! The water flow in the toilet is very strong and the hot water supply is sufficient. An additional heater in the bedroom is enough, and there is no problem with the heating in the living room! The location is really great, just around the corner from Edinburgh Castle

I booked this in a panic after another hotel messed me around, it was a little expensive but very convenient location. I arrived frustrated and annoyed but the staff were friendly and helped me with my bags. Room was nice and comfortable, if not a little small. Bath and shower worked perfectly. It was clean. I've never stayed in a hostel before, let alone in a former jail revamped as one ! Besides the gimmick, the Court is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh, whether on a budget or not : fantastic location near the St Giles cathedral (where city tours seemingly start from), super friendly staff and surprisingly clean amenities (first time experience in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect quite frankly). Would definitely recommend !
