The hotel has a first-class scenery, overlooking Mount Fuji, the hot spring pool is very comfortable, and the service staff has a good attitude. Hotel Indigo was recommended to us by a co-worker. She raved about how much she enjoy her stay, so we decided to visit for our Anniversary. We loved everything about this hotel from check in to check out, everything was amazing. The hotel staff always made us feel welcome, by greeting us (by name most of the time) whenever we were out and about in the hotel. Hannah checked us in. She was nice and provided us with information about the area. We had the breakfast included in our stay. The restaurant manager Koji-san was awesome. While not a picky eater, I do like my eggs cooked a certain way...lol.. On the first day of breakfast, my eggs were not cooked to my liking. When my plate was taken, Koji-san noticed that I did not eat my eggs. He immediately came to our table and inquired about the eggs. I told him that they were too soft for me. He apologized and asked if I had enough to eat and said that he would like to try again the next morning. I thought this was such a kind gesture. For the next 4 days, my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but the chef is very good. The salmon and asparagus were my favorites. Our anniversary was on the 22nd and we received a call from the front desk asking if they could bring us a gift for our anniversary. They brought us an assortment of sweet treats, which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. Very sweet. Our room was spacious, clean with the perfect temperature. The television was the largest that I have seen a Japanese hotel. Our room was on the riverside with a private outdoor onsen. While relaxing in the onsen, you can hear the calming sounds of the river. There is also a foot soak in the garden area. it was a bit to cold outside for me, so I didn't get to enjoy it on this stay. The hotel was cleaned thoroughly and safety precautions were taken. All of staff wore masks and for breakfast, we were provided with gloves to get continental items from the buffet. All tables were wiped down immediately after a party left and were socially distanced. The hotel is in close proximity to just about everything. During our 5 day stay, we visited The Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Garden, Gora Park, and The Red Gate of Peace. We will definitely be returning and look forward to our next stay in the Spring.

It is more suitable for people who like mountain climbing or adventure. Because it is really high, it is not recommended for those who are afraid of heights to walk by themselves. Hygiene: The living room and room are very clean. There are quilt covers, but you need to pay attention to laying them yourself. If you don't use a quilt cover, you may be charged extra, but after all, it is in the mountains, so there will be some bugs, such as small spiders. Facilities: The hot springs are separated for men and women. There are two pools, both indoors and outdoors. There is no difference. All of the above is true, but with our small child, full of care for the children who are violent. It was not particularly concerned except for me who was allergic. There were also many elements to cancel the first thing in the room. The children were always a big squeeze, such as rental karaoke, rental bath, birthday surprise. The meal is not bad, and it is rough but feels comfortable service. I think the staff are hospitality. It is a mysterious hotel, and there are many guests during the holiday, but it is hardly suitable for people because the building is large. In the public bath, it is alone and honest. I recommend a rental bath here. The rental bath was renovated, clean and the hot spring was the best. I feel happy with the hot springs I put in with my family. During my stay for one night ３ times, I was able to use some of the 4 at any time because it was empty and I was able to use it without dissatisfaction. When you look at the other people's photos, the western rooms look beautiful, so the Japanese rooms are unrenovated. If you have a budget, you would like to renovate it, but it may be used for student training camps in the off-season. It was a mysterious and attractive hotel that I wanted to change the room and repeat. The room is not beautiful but I don't feel malicious there. It's cheap after all. Hotel offers free dropoff and pickup to local train station so you can comfortably take the cable car to Lake Ashi. Highly recommend the cable car, boat across Lake Ashi and Hakone's open air museum.

The hotel room is large and comfortable, with a small hot spring and no bathroom! The dining hall has self-service facilities for buying and reheating meals, so you don’t have to worry about running out of food supply! But note that there are only two floors, and there is no bathroom. Elevator, you have to carry your luggage by yourself! There is a parking lot!
